    This is my adorable dog

I took my dog there and they were friendly so I don't know why everybody is so mad they gave my dog a treat it might be because he is very cute in my opinion but can you please stop being so rude and mean.

Cut the base of his private parts without telling us. We didn't even ask for the trim.m/shave.
    Amanda S.

Asked for a bath brush and blow dry. Picked him up and they trimmed his chest, feet, and underside. We Didn't ask for the trim at all. The trim is choppy. They cut his poor peepee (which he won't stop licking to make better now). They didn't tell me about the cuts which is the most frustrating part. They didn't call to confirm what we wanted. And he's still wet in certain areas. Not recommended. ...upon taking to management they were very receptive and compassionate towards my concerns. I appreciate that but doesn't take the experience back.

    Gibbs the fluffy corgi

Gibbs the fluffy, pure bred, pedigreed, AKC registered, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, 13 yrs of age. When we brought him in for grooming we described exactly how a fluffy corgi needs to be cut. We physically pointed to the limits of trim to his long coat. Explained no trimming on top of his coat. We showed pictures of his last grooming to show his belly and protection of his undercoat. The woman groomer named Robin said she under stood and 3 1/2 hours later we are horrified to see what has been done to Gibbs. Gibbs is a part of our volunteer work for Oregon State Parks and a National Park "Bark Ranger". Not only is he traumatized but the temperature in Medford dropped to 19 deg last night. How egregious is this? We have used Petco in our full time travels across the country with nothing other than good service. How could this have happened? Yelp requires one star to rate, does not deserve 1 star.

I thought I had said enough but I can't let this go. My poor baby! I found a huge scab in her armpit! I don't know who they let cut her but not only did they have no clue what they were doing they actually cut her skin in several places. She is a mature dog used to grooming so I know it wasn't her behavior that caused her so many injuries. I'm going to have to go to the store and talk to their manager.

    Feces in the corner.
    Ron G.

This place was nasty! I have never see a major chain pet store this disgusting. The ferret cage had huge plies of feces in several corners piled inches deep. The large snake cages were all full of feces as well. The smaller reptiles had beetles in them. If you aren't aware, those beetles are what super works turn into. So basically it had been so long since the cage had been cleaned that the food changed into a Beetle. Horrible .

He would also bark constantly at home with every little noise, and try to herd our cats around the house to the point they got so stressed out they were spraying. Long walks, which my husband and I loved, were impossible and super embarrassing because he triggered the whole neighborhood of dogs with his incessant barking. Holly stepped in and within the first visit-THE VERY FIRST VISIT!!!-we had a walkable dog! She bonded with Max and spoke his language right away. Lounging on the couch peacefully with our cats was possible again. Barking is now manageable and appropriate for the situation (doorbell, ect.), and we can stop the barking with a calm verbal command. Holly is so great! You should definitely hire her! Thanks to her, we have a happy, manageable house again. I'm so glad we hired her and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for doggo training. She can help your little dogs, too! (We thought training may only be available for big dogs. You don't really hear about little dogs needing rehab, you know? Ours definitely did, lol). Thank you, Holly!

We need to teach our dogs for weeks how to sniff butts? My dogs can sniff my butt and I didn't even have to train them! Grrrrrrr! I recently adopted an eight week old puppy and searched for a new school. After phone chat with Kate at Go Rogue I decided to place puppy, Siren in their school. Wowzer! We learned more in the very first class than I learned with my other rescue pup in sixteen weeks at Good Dog school. It is awesome! The puppies have several play groups to socialize and just have fun....think of a puppy mosh pit! There are so many fun and challenging obstacles set up all over the room for puppies to explore, feel various textures, get a puppy view of agility....which all of my dogs participate in as they get old enough. The approach is always positive, there are two instructors who offer wonderful assistance if a puppy or their human are having any difficulties. They "include" a wonderful handbook to fully explain things we might forget in class. Always there is homework and each class is followed up with an email reminding us what to work on before next session. Kate and Carrie offer high value treats....they don't charge for these (unlike the other school) if the puppy needs a little motivation. I could write a novel on how fabulous this school is. My puppy, Siren just graduated today from her Puppy 1 six week session. ( forgot to say, this school charges $165 for six weeks, Good Dog charged $217 for eight weeks of sniffing butts and click for calm and if you want a hand book fork over an additional $25 bucks. If you run out of treats during class....get your money out! Ain't nothing free at Good Dog school.) And for the puppies graduation today (I am so proud!) each pup received an official diploma with their name and a new toy and a bag of treats! We signed up for Puppy 2. A six week session at a reduced fee. This is how to run a training school! Go Rogue! Ten Arfs for this amazing school! Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf....And a big fat Woof!

She was also very uneasy during all of her walks and endlessly scanned her entire surroundings. It was physically and emotionally exhausting for all of us. The phone consultation was fantastic. Gueseppe asked us a series of questions about her training to date, what we thought was causing her to be nervous and what we wanted to get out of training. We want to be able to travel with her and ensure her safety, was our ultimate goal. We enrolled in the 2-month package with Jett. She was reluctant to enter the building and Gueseppe got to see first hand what a mini Jett panic attack looked like. Our first session was focused on motivation, conditioning and rewarding the behavior we expected her to do. Training with a slip collar made a huge & positive difference in making sure our communication was clear up and down the leash. We used the agility equipment to help her overcome fears of walking on different surfaces. Each week, we got homework to build on the previous learnings and started to see how putting her into obedience brought Jett comfort. We started to see a new spring in her step. By the third session we had already started to see her make breakthroughs in confidence, clarity and calmness when arriving to school. This was when we started working with Tiffany, who was wonderful. She spent a lot of time training me on how to be clear in my communication without bending down and becoming tangled up in the leash. The training of the human gave me so much insight into how I was inadvertently reinforcing the feeling of panic for Jett and I've learned how to dial it way back. I could see and feel Jett's emotional growth. I think she also could feel me getting more relaxed. The major growth day was the day we did a walk downtown with her and Tiffany walked with us as coach. We literally faced every situation that had caused Jett and I to panic in the past. When we got back to the school, we were all so proud of Jett. At our last class, Gueseppe joined us and Jett was happy to show him everything she had learned. Jett has graduated now and we are continuing our work with pack walks, alumni training days and taking her out into situations that we would normally have shied away from. The bonding we've experienced with Jett has been an incredible gift. She used to drool (she gets carsick) at the idea of getting into the car. She now gets excited and puts her paws up so she can be lifted in. Long story short. This training was the best money we have ever spent on any dog training course. We have a small and mighty toolbox to ensure that we are successful in all situations. We have a stronger bond with our pup and our older Aussie is enjoying going on walks with her now. My confidence is much stronger and the gratitude we feel for Companion Canine coming to Jacksonville, OR is immerse.

He was found as a stray and was starving when he was picked up. When we got him, he was sweet, but would bite if you tried to leash him, or tried to remove a leash that was on him. He didn't want to walk with you while he was on a leash. He was resource guarding, and would bite you if you tried to move his toys. We were also working toward crate training him. His biggest issue for us was his marking. We had to watch him 24/7. Go to the bathroom in shifts kind of situation. Elise responded quickly to my message. She was able to come over within a day or so of our initial phone call. She was very COVID aware, and wore a mask the entire time she was here. She spent almost 2 hours at our house trying to help us identify the dog's issues and help us form a plan to train him. She was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The dog definitely loved her. Elise answered all of our questions, even though she ended up staying a little later than the appointment time. After she left, we started working with the dog using the training plan that we got from Elise. Unfortunately, the dog's marking was too large of a problem when coupled with his other behavioral problems. I texted Elise freaking out, and she responded to all of my messages throughout the afternoon. The next day, my girlfriend and I decided that we couldn't properly care for the dog. I notified Elise via text, and she called me immediately. She was incredibly kind and supportive throughout the entire process. We ended up having to take the dog back, but Elise assured my girlfriend and I that we were making the right decision. She even offered to give the shelter a report based on her findings with the dog to help them with training and finding him the right owner. Despite the fact that we had to return the dog (which we still miss and love), Elise did an excellent job. I would highly recommend her to anyone with a dog that needs training.
