They were very helpful with my questions and recommendations for my dog. And I love the dog bath in back. So easy!!'

I went to petsmart because my lab puppy was chewing everything in the house. Thankfully, Brook was there to help me. She suggested that we try a bone holder. My dog loves it and the bone holder ensures that my puppy doesn't choke. Thank you so much. read more

We brought our two dogs in for a bath and brush with furminator. We have brought them to other PetSmart locations and have never had any issues, the staff and experiences were great. We were 10 minutes early and were told to walk around the store until our groomer arrived for work. Once our groomer arrived we checked in our first dog, had to walk our other dog out so they could bring the first one back and then we were able to bring our other dog in to get checked in. We have never had to separate them when checking in and they have always gone back together. I had expressed when checking them both in I wanted their pads trimmed and their glands expressed(which is apart of the service regardless). It took them the full 3 hours to groom them so I was expecting the full treatment. When we picked them up the dogs were so full of anxiety, something I have never seen from them when leaving the groomer. When we got them home I noticed their pads were not trimmed. In the days to follow it was evident that their glands had not been expressed and their ears were not cleaned(I cleaned their ears myself and they were in need of it). I'm not sure if this a low staffing issue or I got the wrong staff but we will not be bringing them back to the Medford location. read more

Great selection of everything pet and Holiday costumes, toys, & treats! @ Petsmart in Medford, OR. They had what I came for! A cuddly blanket for a special girl. I enjoyed seeing all the cute Halloween costumes and toys. The store was very clean and well organized. When I was ready to check out, an employee opened another register, I'm assuming because we were 4 or 5 customers deep, which was awesome! read more

My dog recently has been chewing on her paws extremely bad. When I took a look, I realized her nails have grown completely under the beds of her paws. I have been paying for a nail cut and grind each time I take her in, which is about every 2 months. I called the grooming salon to ask to speak to a manager to explain the situation and to see if there was a way that I could get a refund for the nail cut and grinding over the last few appointments since it is clear that it has not been done. The girl speaking to me told me that her nails could grow that much over two months and wasn't willing to get a manager on the phone. I told her I definitely do not believe that my dog's nails could grow this much... That they are literally completely curled under the beds of the pads, and that I would have understood if at one point, they told me that they weren't able to cut or grind her nails, but no one has ever said anything to me, and I've just been assuming that it's been getting done. I explained that I have been a customer there for several years now and have had to pay almost $500 in vet bills now for medication, etc. for my dogs feet due to this happening. She was very unapologetic. I let her know I'd be writing a review. She hung up the phone on me. read more

The staff is always friendly, when you can find one on the floor it's a bonus. You rarely see someone walking the floor, they're usually at a register or in the back. Realize staffing is always kept to a minimum at most stores anymore. I don't know how many times I've waited to buy fish.. and leave without buying fish because you just couldn't get any help. read more

So it's Thursday evening at about 6:30 PM. I had ordered two large dog food bags online for pick up earlier in the day.. I got notification that it was ready for pick up, but when I went to go down and all of a sudden changed instead of pick up was not available. I'm driving down there. I called to the store and I ask if somebody gonna be available to help me they're two 50 pound dog bags, and I do not walk very well and cannot lift anything that heavy. The guy on the phone says no we can't help you with that. We're shortstaffed.. I said well I can't come get it, but if somebody help me put it in the car. He said no we don't have anybody to help and it gets dark out early and we have safety concerns with people going outside.. I said it's spring time. It's late right now at 6:30. I'm on my way in.. it gets dark in the winter time it's no longer winter. At which time he proceeded to hang up on me.. when I went in there was a nice gentleman behind the register who actually did help me when I asked where the store clown was. Apparently the guy was hiding in the. The guy at the register is the one who left to help me out with the dog bags and the other guy creeped up to the register to cover the register while he assisted me.. I don't know what kind of professionalism that is and to hang up on me when he was the one that was being rude. I had quite a different experience with the guy behind the register.. I don't know the guy's that seems to be the store clown, but I do remember he had a beard cause I saw him walking toward the front when we were walking out of the store. Maybe you guys should hire a professional phone system maybe it would bring him more business if you had better people answering the phone with who no phone etiquette. Let AI remove the need for staff like him.. read more

Lots of food and treat options for pets but the cashiers are crazy slow. Always a long line even middle of work day. My cashier actually studied each of my items and read ingredients of the wet food. Petsmart is my primary store for pet food. I use the rewards program every visit. They have the widest selection of flavors in my cats favorite food. They price match ANY store. I encourage you to always go online to Petsmart.com and screen shot every item you're buying- it's almost always less online. I also have gone to chewy.com and they've price matched them. So, the store itself is a pretty large Petsmart. They have friendly staff and have good customer service. The store is clean, well stocked and pretty much has everything I need. read more

Reptile Heat Lamp! *SCORE!* SITREP We needed a reptile heat lamp for Dante's traveling terrarium because it has been getting much much colder, and the little guy needed to be warmer. THE SETUP After a quick search on Yelp, PetSmart proved to be the best local vendor (to Rogue River Valley) in which to secure the item, which we did. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/petsmart-medford?select=aykNtczgEHQuq4u_GzuK6Q&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w MAMMAL TRAINING (IE. CANINES!) In addition to reptilian needs, this PetSmart has an enclosed "training-zone" to teach the fuzzies some modified behaviors. I called the dog training department twice to see if it was okay that I only had a rabbies vaccine record since my dogs puppy shot were done at home and I have no records. Twice they said that's fine so I paid for the classes but, when I got there and gave the trainer the rabbies vaccine record she says no we have to have the puppy shot records too or we can't train your dog. Bring those records next class. I am so very upset with them and being lied to. Very unprofessional and don't recommend them to anyone. read more

PetSmart did a good job of grooming my dog. The girls were pleasant and asked the right questions to take care of my pet.

Set up an appointment for my 9yr old dog who's been groomed at PetSmarts in Colorado and California. I walked him in with a soft muzzle like I always do. Also included that in the notes. They refused services because he was muzzled. Canceled my appointment when I walked in as well. You've lost my business read more

This place is clean and well stocked. It's a little out of the way for me but needed some aquarium items that Pet Co didn't have. I like both but this store is bigger so a bigger selection of aquarium decor & fish. Pet Co has better selection of heaters, air pumps, etc. Similar selection of plants. Both have knowledgeable helpful staff. read more

I had the most inappropriate experience while paying for dog treats. My cashiers name was Sierra, and she was the epitome of great customer service. She was outgoing, friendly & helpful. There were a couple other checkers working but the staff had a line past the dog treat isle. She was still upbeat and not stressed and made me feel like a priority by taking the time to update my phone number and answering my questions. Before I had even swiped my debit card I heard an older woman demand that Sierra rewipe another customers cart. Sierra upbeat said not a problem, just give me a second to finish up. So I go back to the question I had asked and then the older woman demanded NOW! I looked at the older dirty blonde lady with glasses, couldn't catch her name and looked at her very confused because she easily could have wiped down the other customers cart without interrupting Sierras transaction and helping answer questions. The lady walked away and then from the area past the birds yelled do it now what is taking so long!! I looked at Sierra and apologized that she was being treated so disrespectfully and that no one should put up with it. She smiled at me and said have a good day. I walked out with my 11 year old daughter and she started wiping down a cart that the older woman with a power trip could have done herself. I want you to know that this was incredibly hard to witness. That older lady needs to be spoken to and knocked down a peg. Just because she is older or even if she is in a management position that is NOT the way to motivate or be a teamplayer. How she treated that young woman is exactly why turn over for PetsSmart is so high. I wish Sierra the best of luck and hope she finds and employer who appreciates her. read more

The ONLY reason I give this place a one star is because I bought fish for my aquarium and they were the only ones to survive. I have gone several times to get more fish, but every time I get bad attitudes towards me. And on top of that, the only nice cashier in customer service was yelled at to clean a cart. Like, excuse me, do it yourself!! Dissatisfied. read more

Took nearly five hours for our dog to get groomed. There's no receptionist at the front and when I spoke to upper management about it, he said we have to see if they can approve hiring a receptionist to answer the phone that rings off the hook. It took us 30 mins to drop off our dog. When we picked our dog back up, the next day she had a nasty rash on her abdomen. I called PerSmart to see what could've happened. They said bring our dog in. When we came back in, the groomer walked our dog to Banfield pet hospital located within the store. The vet came over, quickly knelt over and said yep that's a rash and quickly began telling us what to do.. I said you didn't even get a look at the dog. I picked our dog up from the ground where our dog was and asked if the vet could actually take a decent look. She then said it was a case of contact dermatitis. Didn't ask any pertaining questions, nothing. Our dog got a very nasty rash w red bumps all over her stomach from unclean instruments, or from the kennel she was kept in. The girls in the back of the salon look shady and up to no good. They're being worked way too hard there. It's embarrassing at the very least read more

The grooming service is horrible. They never get the dogs services done correctly, the girls are very rude and inconsiderate when you drop off the dog and the last time I went I dropped my dogs off at 3:30 and was not able to pick them back up until they closed because they had not finished one dog. I brought my Springer Spaniel Maude in for grooming this past weekend. The staff/groomers were very polite, helpful, friendly and professional. Kayla was Maude's groomer. She did a fantastic job grooming Maude. I was pleasantly surprised to have received " a report card/notes" from Kayla regarding Maude's grooming. I called the next day and thanked Kayla personally for her hard work, attention to detail, and her professionalism as a groomer. At that time, I also made a future appointment for my Springer Spaniel to be groomed by Kayla again. Thank You for a job well done and going beyond a customer's expectations! David W. read more

We really needed to get our lab mix groomed and I was looking around at other places and they charged much more than I was willing to spend. I had gone to Petco before and I brought him home and he could barely open his eyes and made me never want to take our dog there again. I decided to give PetSmart a try and Ashley was our groomer. She did a wonderful job. She throughly went through with me what i wanted to have done and was very sweet. He was very nervous in general and she worked with our dog to make him as comfortable as possible. I made sure to book his next grooming with Ashley again. She did a fantastic job and Hershey looks better than we've ever seen him. read more

WOW!! A wonderful new find with happy employees, clean conditions and low prices, unlike other chain stores. Our cashier was flustered by our many questions and has a long line ahead of him. The manager stepped in to help and was incredibly kind. My husband said, "I don't like chain stores, but this is the exception". Our groomers, Asley and Kayla could not have done better. Ashley loves animals and was gentle and sweet to my little babies during their first bath. Kayla went out of her way to meet my demands. The only unhappy moment came when we saw huge numbers of loitering homeless. It is so much worse than a few years ago. THANK YOU, PetSmart, for making life better for my young ones! read more

Have gone here for nail trims in the past, but started going somewhere new...then when I came back on the weekend to get him trimmed because it worked best with my schedule, they couldn't find my record and refused to do his nails because they couldn't confirm with my vet (on a Sunday when they are obviously closed)that he was current on his rabies vaccine, even though he had a current license on his collar. I know they have policies they have to stick to, but the website says nothing about that, so to show up and not have the paper rabies vaccine we needed was pretty annoying when there's no mention of it on the website. I will keep going to my local mom and pop place because they know us and never needed more than his license. read more

Great that they were able to get my dog in to the groomer. Not great that they had one checker going when busy and it was an over 20 minute wait to pay and refused to open up a second check out counter even when a lady at the front was arguing over a price. We are in phase 2 now. Manager also appeared to be doing everything she could to slow everything down. read more

The store soled me a baby bearded dragon that has three different types of worms and over 200 eggs that my exotic vet tolled me is only transmittable through other beardies and when I called to complain they won't do anything and act like they don't care at all so be careful buying animals here cuz their obviously not examined and now I have a expensive vet bill on top of hoping my beardie makes it since it's so bad now mind you I have only had him 3 weeks and the worms just started showing in his poop which the vet said couldn't have been from me from the short amount of time I've had him since he's only 2-3 months old so just a heads up so u don't get a sick animal. read more

1) my dog hated it there, he didn't want to go. 2) they didn't treat him like a client, but just a customer, one of many that happen to walk through the door (I mean there was NO personal service to it) 3) he looked nearly the same when he came out as when he went in, they didn't clean his ears or clip his feet 4) they said he "jumped" another dog. No, he is a pussy cat, and unless the other dog jumped him, he wouldn't do that. 5) cramped conditions (maybe the close surroundings made him jumpy and he did have an issue with another dog?) 6) cost more for what they barely did than a full groom nearby! 7) groomers seem to be young, training, and then leave. My current groomer has been in business in the location for decades. read more

Ok, I'll admit. I LOVE lolcats, but I actually don't like cats IRL... or really any other animal IRL for that matter. My friends all have pets that I try to avoid when I go to their house (no, I didn't just kick your cat!... on purpose!), and therefore I will get stuck going pet supply shopping with them at one point or another. Anyways! Given that I am not an "animal person", I thoroughly enjoyed myself here. Everyone's dogs were well behaved, there were lots of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the store, and there is quite an array of painted hermit crab shells. My favorites were the ones decorated like Spongebob and a football. Also you can watch other people's dogs get groomed and look miserable as you check out.
