I often feel like when I'm shopping at big companies like Petco, the staff is unapproachable and generally unhelpful. I stopped in at this location because after cleaning my fish tank a couple of my fish died and it was time to get new residents for the tank. I was browsing the various options and was soon asked if I had questions. Someone came to help me and I explained my loss and plan to repopulate. The fish expert was super helpful and took time to discuss the possibilities of why my previous fish died and how to prevent it in the the future. I found a little yellow guy that I felt was pretty cool looking and the fish expert again took time to explain the fishes character and what to expect as I raise the little guy. He answered all my questions and was sincere in asking if I had more questions. The staff here is a true asset to Petco and if your looking for great advice and super friendly serviceI'd definitely recommend this location. Also, while checking out, Elijah was really personable and I left the store with a super huge smile and my new friend. One last thing...I was married to a Karen and everything was a negative experience..I'd disregard the "Karen's" that posted reviews for this store, it definitely doesn't reflect the overall business truthfully and appears more emotionally charged and disrespectful to the staff here. read more

I took my dog there about 10 days ago and they did a terrible job. They didn't brush her out. They didn't cut her how I wanted. They did a really bad job and now she has to be shaved at another dog salon. I am beyond upset, they gave me no discount they gave me no refund and they gave me no store credit and the manager was a man and he was very, very rude. I had a vet appointment today and when I arrived they had no one at the front desk then I approached the person that appeared to be working there and they didn't say hello at all and rudely told me to back up because they were working with another customer and I was already at least ten feet away no clear customer service indication of greeting or anything and I ended up leaving because of how rude they were to me and scheduled with petsmart for next day with much better communication customer service and I will never go back to petco after this experience. alexa was the name of the person that was rude and I refuse to be treated the way they conduct business and I do not recommend anyone go there for anything after what I saw. read more

Our pups (and us) had an amazing experience at this Petco! We are from Ohio and needed a new harness for our rambunctious golden. We were immediately greeted and the cashier came over and asked what we were looking for. He pointed out all of the sale items (harnesses, leashes, and collars) which were all 50% off! A lot of the items looked like they were overstock. All of the employees stopped to pet our dogs and talk to them, which they loved! Our dogs were smelling around the cookie station and the cashier came over and grabbed one for them, told them to sit, and gave them a treat! The customer service at this location was amazing today! We will definitely be stopping back to look through the clearance items. read more

Petco is selling a product that kills hamsters, and they won't even post my review on their website. It's unconscionable. Please do not buy the Kaytee CritterTrail 2-Level Habitat. The water bottle did not work, and our poor hamster died of dehydration. read more

Grooming: Took 3 weeks to get appointments for 2 dogs, wanted both done at the same time. Requested Zoom Groom so dogs wouldn't need to be kenneled. When I arrived, I was told there was only one groomer working that day. Dogs would need to be kenneled. Then was told dogs couldn't be groomed because they had meds that morning - had never been an issue before. Salon is in dire need of a manager to oversee scheduling, ensure all disclaimers are given when the appointments are made, and communicate with customers when THEY can't keep appointments. Why even advertise that you have a grooming service if you can't groom a 25 lb dog that is up to date on his vaccines? So he took a nip at you? I would expect him to. The no muzzle policy that they have adopted cost a few hours of my day when they refused to try and groom my dog after waiting weeks for an appointment. As a consumer and dog lover I would 100 percent expect that you would use a muzzle if the dog presents a threat. Very confusing...the extra star was for the courtesy. read more

I've been to a lot of petco's and petsmarts throughout the years, and this is by far the best one i've ever been to based on their customer service. I've gotten many things from here, a turtle and many fish. Normally, pet stores seem to not really care whether or not you're going to properly take care of the animal, but this place is very different. Before I got my turtle, the woman (didn't catch her name) that helped me was very knowledgeable and made sure that I knew everything beforehand and knew how to properly take care of her. I also decided to start a fish tank, and Hayden was very nice and extremely helpful. Every time i'm there, Hayden always talks to me extensively and makes sure that I know everything I need to know and he genuinely cares about the well beings of the animals. I'm always very impressed by his friendliness and his knowledge and he always has an answer for any questions that I have.
