When i got there and the service provider saw Tucker, and asked me what I wanted, (which really was just a shape up haircut.

She saw my mother and I eagerly approach the kitty cubicles too coo and play with them and she brought back the kitten into his cubicle instead of placing him in the tent. She mean mugged us in the nastiest way and offered no assistance or introduction to any of the kittens or cat adoption program almost in a profiling way. I myself own two happy kitties and volunteer at a cat sanctuary in Texas, so it saddens me to have such an ugly and poor experience with an employee who is meant to facilitate the cat adoption and find these fur babies a loving home with nice families. Once my mother and I went to check out I saw her finally start to put the cats in their tents ready to display this unfortunately confirmed my suspicions that she was uninterested in helping us bond with the cats at all as she waited until we were leaving. A simple hello and welcoming smile when customers approach the cat adoption department goes a long way when establishing connections with potential foster families for cats and future owners.

As a former vet tech, when…read moreyou leave your pets in Erin's very capable hands, you will literally get a peace of mind! Erin is just absolutely great with all animals- big or small. She gives each and every one of them the love and attention they need and deserve. And as an animal lover, I couldn't be happier with her services. Now, Peace of Mind Pet Sitting is the first place I recommend to friends and family whenever they ask about a good quality pet sitter.

Peace of Mind is bonded and insured. Ms. Creel is the proprietor and a Registered Veterinary Technician. She offers a couple of levels of service, visiting the house as needed or even sleeping over to care for pets. Ms. Creel met us at the house. She provide references and proof of insurance. We worked through a checklist of the dog's needs and habits. She then spent time with the dog. We agreed on a twice a day schedule to visit the house which included a substantial walk every evening. She also agreed to pick up the newspaper, mail and water a few plants. While we were away, Ms. Creel took great care of our shedding monster. She texted us regularly with updates, and left a running series of notes on how the day went. We have used Ms. Creel 3X in the past year and hope to continue using her. It is about twice the cost of boarding the dog which is well worth the peace of mind (no pun intended). I strongly recommend Peace of Mind and Ms. Creel. NEVER again will I come here. The jest is that my dog was barking and when I went to register, the…read moretrainer said,"Oh, it's the bad dog" She also said my dog was aggressive. My dog did not bite or has never bitten anyone or dog. If my dog is so bad, and aggressive, then why did she try to coax me to stay when I asked for my money back? Why didn't she tell me that my dog needed a muzzle, as per on her website . Saying aggressive dogs need a muzzle. Please read further for more. But I wrote this after her response to my review: .......In response to Jean's the owner's comment: Jean, 1st of all, Don't LIE. You said that if anyone wants to learn to loose leash walk their dog, we'd have to buy YOUR leather leashes.I asked why does it have to be leather? My leash was long enough. And you wouldn't give me an answer. You just said, "we'll take about that later. You even have it on your website that it has to be so long, so wide or else we have to buy yours. This is from your website: Dogs will be fitted with the correct leash and collar at time of registration The following items will not be permitted for use in the class: * Leashes that are too short, too wide or too narrow for the dog being trained * Choke chains that are too large or too long for the dog being trained * Pinch collars that are too heavy or too thin for the intended dog * Nylon leashes, nylon or buckle collars, and harnesses I DOGS WITHOUT PROPER EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR PROGRAM. Secondly, I wasn't aware that when a dog barks that it is "aggressive." If you think that's aggressive, then you have no business training dogs, because your assumptions and observations are way off! If my dog is so aggressive and a BOTHER TO OTHERS as you say, then WHY DID YOU TRY TO CONVINCE ME TO STAY? I'll tell you why.....You would have lost over $100 from me. Also, if my dog is so aggressive, then why didn't you tell me that she needs to wear a wired muzzle? (According to your website listed under the seminar section.) This is what it said: NOTE: * NO harnesses will be permitted for use once the Simanar gets underway. (Buckle collars can be used on smaller dogs with mild issues. Training equipment for everything else.) * Dog aggressive dogs may be required to wear a wire basket muzzle. Training equipment required. * People aggressive dogs will be required to wear a wire basket muzzle. Training equipment required. * Training equipment will be available for purchase during registration, or can be acquired ahead of time from most pet shops or feed stores. Jean, the fact that you tried to convince me to stay and that you didn't tell me that my dog needs a muzzle also shows me that she is not aggressive. Because a responsible trainer wouldn't let an aggressive dog near other people/dogs. I rest my case. As I've said in my review, I go to the dog park almost every day and my dog is NOT aggressive. In fact, she is submissive. She rolls over when she goes every time and she has NEVER bitten any dog or person or gotten into a dog fight. Yeah that's really aggressive.( sarcasm) I didn't see anyone complain to you or me about my dog. Your response tried to make me look like I deliberately was going around with my dog to other dogs. That was not the case. As per my review, I tried my best to keep my dog restrained. But it was like juggling with 1 hand trying to stand and fill out an application and restrain her. Also, don't try and blame your lack of organization of taking a whole hour to register people on me by saying that I caused a scene. You are using me for an excuse for you taking a whole hour to register people. When in fact, I "caused a scene" as you say, AFTER you took an hour to register people. And only then, because I had enough of your insults! Jean, the proof is in the pudding. I've noticed several other reviews complaining about your lack of organization and unprofessionalism too. So have you because you've responded negatively to them too. Sara C said you publically embarrassed her. Just like you humiliated me. She also said that you used unneccessary force on a dog. You jerked the dog on the pavement by the prong collar. Also, other people have reviews , Kim V and Inside L. So, i'm not the only one.

I took my dog through the 8-week program and was very pleased with the results. When we adopted…read morehim, he was very sweet-natured but also fearful and insecure. This class helped him be much more confident and relaxed. By the fifth week of training, he was heeling off leash as we walked past other dogs. He is much calmer and happier with a "job" to do, and he gets SO proud of himself when he has done something well and gets praise. Jean does use both positive and negative reinforcement, but her methods are absolutely not abusive. The class is humane, delivers quick results, and strengthens the bond between a person and her dog. There are only two things that keep this from being a 5-star review. 1) Registration for the first class feels a little disorganized, as each dog must be individually fitted with a prong collar (NOT as one reviewer suggested a "spiked" collar,) and that does take some time. 2) Sometimes Jean's communication with humans is a little abrasive. I think this is the reason for the bad reviews. Jean is very confident in her approach, and her assuredness comes from years of experience. She is very, very good at what she does, but that can lead her to sound a little dismissive or impatient with other training philosophies or dog owners deviating from the plan.
