The boarding area is clean, the dogs are taken out 4 times a day and get plenty of TLC while in their care. In addition, this business gives back to the community by grooming dogs for the Jefferson Protection and Animal Welfare Service, the Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter. This sweet shelter stray that was given a bath and groom to make him more adoptable. He came to the shelter filthy, emaciated and very matted to the skin. Thank you Grooming and Boarding Cottage for making him look and feel like a new dog! And... He's been adopted!!

The issue I had was my dog being left in a kennel while she wasn't being groomed. Every time i picked her up she would panting, barking, pacing inside the kennel. We do not kennel our dog and never have the entire time we've owned her which has been over 5 years since we rescued her. I have to bring a cup of water when I pick her up which was usually 2-3 hours later. Because I felt like she was extremely hot and thirsty and always drank all the water by the time I arrived home which takes 7 minutes. So if your dog has never been kenneled or has been traumatized from being kenneled due to it's past. I do not recommend this place. If your dog loves to socialize with other dogs and is kennel trained then by all means try it out.

They had me bring him leashed and relieve himself before calling them to bring him inside. It took about 4 hours before they called and told me they were ready for him. He came out and he was sooo cute. He didn't look traumatized! Lol. So I knew this place was gonna be perfect for us to start getting him groomed here regularly. After taxes and tip, I paid about $70-80. Can't remember exactly. They currently are only doing CC only. Since I've never brought Ryce here during "normal" times, I don't know about the free roaming and all of that. But I've only heard great things. Can't wait to take him back.

Dale, the owner, is super sweet and Amelia gives my little man the best bichon cut he's ever received in his whole life. And when I say life, he's 11 years old so he's had plenty. I especially love that the dogs are able to roam free when they aren't getting a service done. It's so much more comforting knowing that he is getting play time versus being locked up in a kennel. Service here is top notch. They are quick and highly skilled. You can tell they love on your babies just as much as you do.

The grooming prices are in the typical $50+ range, depending on the size of the dog and whether you get a basic or deluxe grooming. Deluxe groomings include everything that the basic groomings have plus a blueberry facial, paw butter, anal gland expressions, teeth brushing, and cologne spray. They also do simple bathing and a la carte services. Poochie Bella's has talented groomers who really know what they're doing. Every time I bring my dog here he comes out looking like a show dog. He always looks so handsome and smells amazing! When you make an appointment, ask for Jan. She is so talented and has always been the one to do the best grooming job on my dog.

I bring my mini Goldendoodle Korra to her, and she always does a fantastic job! Korra always comes home looking like a little cutie in her little bows and the cutest handkerchiefs! If I have one tiny beef, sometimes it takes a very long time to finish your pet. She's in great demand, so try to book as early as you can, but remember, if you don't want your dog there all day, try to get the first few appointments!

Brought my my previous dog Romeo ( a special needs senior)…read morefrequently for about six years... and now my current dog Leo goes for boarding/daycare at least one week every month... they're just as wonderful with him. The staff is excellent, I love the webcams, suite options, and the staff is always attentive and focused.. I never see them on their phones or distracted, and it's obvious that they truly care about the dogs. Also appreciate that timely updates about anything unusual are thoughtfully communicated so I don't panic. Ive tried most of the boarding places in town- this one is the best. ( And I have English Bulldogs which are notoriously high maintenance)

The only thing I wasn't crazy about is that she kind of smelled like a kennel but how could she not with all the dogs she was playing with. No big deal. We just gave her a bath.
