Haircut front view

I just picked up my pup from Muddy Paws, and she looks great! This is definitely a place that knows what they're doing with a haircut. My pup doesn't need a full blown haircut like some dogs, but her hair gets overgrown and rough around the edges all over. I can clean her up a bit, but she needed more than I could offer. Immediately upon walking in the owner knew what I wanted, just by looking at her, before I said anything. And the product is exactly what I wanted. They were friendly and genuinely cared about the pups. The place itself is not as big or fancy as some other places I've gone, but don't let that fool you. The physical building does not reflect the level of skill. They do a really nice job. They were also very friendly. One note to the owner: Might want to consider better signage outside, both for parking (they have a nice sized off-street parking area) and the shop itself. This was my first time visiting you, and it took me a few trips around the block to realize where you were (right on the corner of St. Phillip and abroad, in case it's useful for others). Although given how busy you were (very) it seems that others don't have the same confusion I did. Thanks Muddy Paws!

Monique is amazing. She was able to give my partner's dog a full makeover. Unlike other groomers who have given him a botched job since he isn't easy to work with, she cut every hair with precision. I wish I had taken pictures but it was definitely something you'd see at a dog show. Give her a go with your fur babies!

Before picture. Very overgrown and super dirty

Flash is a Border Collie - Poodle mix. He is almost 5 years old and weighs about 70 pounds. And his…read morefur needs regular grooming because it grows continuously. Over the years, we have bathed Flash every 2 weeks, brushed him regularly. Initially, we trimmed him at home. We have tried a couple of groomers, but were not satisfied. About 3 months ago, we tried Grooming by Lesa. We were very happy with his first grooming. They have a card they give out - Groomer's Tips: Mats. On the card they recommend a haircut every 6 to 8 weeks. So Flash went back in 8 weeks, and looked great. Recently, I booked a grooming appointment for Thursday, April 16. I was driving over at 8:30 to drop Flash off when Grooming by Lesa called and said they were overbooked and could not do Flash. After a couple of more calls, I was able to get Flash an appointment for Monday, April 20. Yesterday, 6 weeks after his second grooming session, he went back for his third grooming. This time, the grooming was a complete shave back to the skin. It was the first time he has ever been shaved by any groomer. He is a totally different dog. It will grow back. But we will never go back to Grooming by Lesa. Flash was dropped off at 8:30 in the morning. I was hoping to pick him up around 5 pm. At 4:27 pm, I received a text: "Hey this is Grooming by Lesa. I just want to let you know that Flash is really matted on his chest. He needs to go shorts. I need your permission first." I assumed that only his chest would be cut short. So I replied immediately "Okay. When can I pick him up?" The next text came back at 5:57 pm, 90 minutes later. I was already driving over because the groomer hours end at 6:00 pm "Hey you can walk in in about 10 minutes. Just finishing up his sanitary rounding his feet," I arrived at 6 pm and waited another 15 minutes. And Flash came out totally scalped. It was not a proper grooming. His look was totally unbalanced. His chest area was clipped back to his skin. His ears and tail were both a long tangled mess. This was not the first time I have waited long past the original pickup time. We are taking him to our veterinarian to make sure he is not injured. Also, Grooming by Lesa only takes cash payment. No credit cards or checks.

Upon calling I was informed that it will take a while (which was no issue for me because at my previous groomer I am used to waiting hours) Overall the people were so friendly and you can tell their love for animals and I loved what they did to my baby, I would highly recommend this place anyone but just make sure you are there early to drop your furbaby off

Terrible. We used Notorious D.O.G. several times over about…read morea two year period.  They do a pretty good job grooming, but I would stay away.  This business has a history of lying. Our poodle mix has anxiety and takes a couple of days to recover from a trip to the groomer or vet. We tried to arrange appointments for him so we could deliver him and pick him up in a reasonable amount of time, but D.O.G. insisted we just bring him early and they would make sure they finished him quickly so he could be picked up.  They apparently use the ASAP acronym. They were keeping him 8 to 10 hours, so we started using other groomers.  None of the other groomers matched the actual grooming services of D.O.G., so we tried going back. When making the appointment we were assured Ollie would be taken "ASAP" and returned. When calling to check. they kept pushing out the completion time.  He was there for about 6 hours. The next appointment I was adamant I wanted him in and out, and even tried to make an actual appointment to drop him off, then pick him up when he was done.  I was assured AGAIN he would be done "ASAP", and that an appointment was not necessary.  Just drop him off at 8:30, and he would be"first".  We called at 12 and was told it would be another two hours.  We called at 2 and was told it would be another two hours.  Ollie was there for 8 hours, and was parched when we picked him up.  He was so thirsty that he drank for about two minutes when we got him home.  It takes him days to recover when he is kenneled all day with insufficient food / water.  What really made me the angriest was how they lie.  I was very clear in every communication that I expected him to be kept no more than 4 hours.  They agreed to my requests, then failed to deliver, every time.  This was my experience, so if you value honesty, integrity, and top notch pet care, I recommend you find another groomer.
