Flash is a Border Collie - Poodle mix. He is almost 5 years old and weighs about 70 pounds. And his fur needs regular grooming because it grows continuously. Over the years, we have bathed Flash every 2 weeks, brushed him regularly. Initially, we trimmed him at home. We have tried a couple of groomers, but were not satisfied. About 3 months ago, we tried Grooming by Lesa. We were very happy with his first grooming. They have a card they give out - Groomer's Tips: Mats. On the card they recommend a haircut every 6 to 8 weeks. So Flash went back in 8 weeks, and looked great. Recently, I booked a grooming appointment for Thursday, April 16. I was driving over at 8:30 to drop Flash off when Grooming by Lesa called and said they were overbooked and could not do Flash. After a couple of more calls, I was able to get Flash an appointment for Monday, April 20. Yesterday, 6 weeks after his second grooming session, he went back for his third grooming. This time, the grooming was a complete shave back to the skin. It was the first time he has ever been shaved by any groomer. He is a totally different dog. It will grow back. But we will never go back to Grooming by Lesa. Flash was dropped off at 8:30 in the morning. I was hoping to pick him up around 5 pm. At 4:27 pm, I received a text: "Hey this is Grooming by Lesa. I just want to let you know that Flash is really matted on his chest. He needs to go shorts. I need your permission first." I assumed that only his chest would be cut short. So I replied immediately "Okay. When can I pick him up?" The next text came back at 5:57 pm, 90 minutes later. I was already driving over because the groomer hours end at 6:00 pm "Hey you can walk in in about 10 minutes. Just finishing up his sanitary rounding his feet," I arrived at 6 pm and waited another 15 minutes. And Flash came out totally scalped. It was not a proper grooming. His look was totally unbalanced. His chest area was clipped back to his skin. His ears and tail were both a long tangled mess. This was not the first time I have waited long past the original pickup time. We are taking him to our veterinarian to make sure he is not injured. Also, Grooming by Lesa only takes cash payment. No credit cards or checks. read more

Went in for nail trim, lady seemed rushed and flustered and proceeded to trim my dogs nails in the waiting area. Never asked my dog's name or tried to make him feel comfortable. Snipped two nails that lead to blood. Overall never felt comfortable or welcomed. Be advised. read more

They were so nice. It was my puppy's first grooming appointment and they took such good care of him. They let him get his energy out by running around, they cut his nails, and trimmed him up a bit to get him used to it. He seemed like he had a great time and he was exhausted when we picked him up. They do pretty good work, treat the fur babies respectfully. The only issue I have had is how thorough they are with deshedding and cutting, as well as my directions and preferences being ignored. I don't think it's intentional but I left a big tip and didn't get what I asked for. My dog has been nipped every time I've brought him here, but he loves going in and they always squeeze him in when they can. Reasonably priced, nice people. Tip after grooming not before. read more

My dog had a terrible experience here. It was his first grooming experience and it did not go well. He was traumatized and suddenly developed aggressive/fearful behaviour. I didn't get back the same dog.... I have good suspicion to believe that they sedated my puppy without my consent. Be ware. read more

Wow What a hidden gem. I bought my dog here today and she has never looked better. We usually go to petsmart for grooming but decided to switch it up this weekend. Ms. Lesa and her employees were so welcoming to my shy puppy. I just had to write a review the second I got home. Not everyone knows how to groom huskies, meaning they need to have their coats properly blown and should never ever get a haircut. My girls were still shedding since the beginning of summer, and the place I took them at the time did not help at all - they came back shedding more then when I dropped them off. Lesa's salon is just a gem Now my pups are sparkling clean, not shedding at all, and Lesa and her daughter were just sooo caring with them. Was taking my dogs elsewhere and the customer service was poor. I found Lesa on Instagram so was able to see her work. Lesa greeted us at the door and was very attentive to mine and my dogs needs. One of my pups is very skittish and she was very aware of this and worked to make her feel comfortable. They received a bath, conditioner, tooth brush, nails, anal gland ears cleaned and haircut. When I went to pick them up they pranced around. I could tell they were comfortable, happy and felt good with their new cuts. They got treats on the way out. Prices are comparable to other places. Last time we had our shih tzus in for grooming was a fiasco. Dropped off before 8:00 am and they weren't ready until after 3 pm! Had to call and knock several times before anyone came to door at drop off. Called twice in afternoon to inquire about pick-up with no answer until after 2 pm. At pick-up an employee brought them out to us and just kept apologizing because they had cut one of them! Her ears were all uneven and her coat looked like a hack job. I was told I could bring her back for a fix up cut at no charge. NO thank you! Communication is horrible. Doesn't return calls promptly or answer calls. Lesa is amazing!! I have a Pomeranian and his coat can get really matted no matter what I do between his visits with her, but as soon as I bring him to Lesa, he comes out looking handsome again! She is truly the best groomer I've ever sent him to (and he's been to a lot, he's 9 years old lol). He can also get really nervous when he's with people he's not used to.
