I've been bring my sweet dog here for 5 years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They treat her like family.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm pretty sure she loves them more than me but that's ok because I know it means she's being well taken care of while I work long hours. She has a bit of a difficult personality and they give her tailored attention. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I'm working late I can request a drop off at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She is loved and happy and that means a lot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend the good folks at Blakemoore Bark!

Fantastic groomer. My toy poodle puppy looks perfect, and she loves going. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She gets to play with other pups before her haircut and gets cuddles from the staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am so glad I found Blakemoore Bark! Couldn't be happier.

I love Blakemoore. They style my senior, one-eyed shih tzu Lucy Marie and provided her with a patient, gentle bath and haircut. When I dropped her off and picked her up, all of the staff there were very loving toward Lucy and asked thoughtful questions about her and the style I was looking for (with senior dogs, always "whatever you can manage"). When I picked her up, she was smiling and looks phenomenal, smells so good, and is very soft. The pictures below are from today. When I brought her in, she was a shaggy mess with some matting on her paws. I just adopted her and she needed a total makeover. I can't recommend the friends at Blakemoore enough! There's nowhere else in NOLA I'd bring my dogs.

Our pup Waffles

A couple of years ago my husband and I drove through New Orleans on our way across the country. We had our dog Waffles with us and I have to admit, we did not plan our trip well and totally miscalculated how much it would be to keep a puppy (she was only a few months at the time) in a hotel room or with a Rover dog watcher, let alone having to deal with her separation anxiety. We did a quick search on Yelp and Blakemoore Bark had amazing reviews so we gave them a call. Our dog wasn't spayed at the time so I thought that was going to be a huge problem, Channing (the owner) was quick and kind enough to solve our problem by isolating our girl in her own area, but with plenty of love from the staff. They sent me pictures of her riding a little bike thing haha, and even called up our vet for her vaccination requirements (yup, we forgot those too... we were such a mess). On top of that, we spent like 15 minutes just talking about how he started his business and his love for dogs, along with local places to visit and eat that weren't super touristy. We felt like we were inside VIP-ers! Waffles stayed there a few nights and came back clean and so happy! The reason I'm writing this review now is because even years later, after trying out MANY other different dog hotels, across multiple different states, we haven't found a place that we love as much as Blakemoore Bark, with the same kind of service - full of dedication, kindness, and creative thinking. You guys are doing a great job! Miss you all!

This was our first time boarding our dog and I couldn't have been more disappointed. Communication before dropping him off was good, and I felt like he was going to be taken care of. However, upon dropping him off we received zero communication. I had to call multiple times and no one knew which dog I was talking about. I explained he has never been to daycare before and wanted to know how he was doing, and I had to describe which dog was mine and pretty much got a "yeah okay I see him. He's outside. He went to the bathroom." Okay.. is he eating? Is he playing? each time I called they promised picture updates. About 2 hours before I picked him up they uploaded pictures ... OF A DIFFERENT DOG. I emailed them to let them know and they told me it was a "mixup" with uploading. They then uploaded a handful of pictures clearly all taken in the same ten seconds. The pictures all showed my dog covered in eye goo. When we arrived to pick him up, no one answered the phone. I had to flag someone down on the side. They brought out my dog after about 10 minutes and then they had to go find all of his belongings which were all not together and apparently scattered in different places. His blanket was not even with his bed. They then returned with the wrong blanket before they finally found the right one. ***after bringing him home, we learned our dog developed a UTI while in their care due to not having enough water available to him.

Blakemoore Bark is the best ever! They are super attentive to the pups, sweet, and care so much about your pups. We have one "problem child" who didn't well at other [overly occupied] facilities - he would get over stimulated and basically act out. He LOVES Blakemoore. They have been so patient with our little guy and have actually helped change his negative behavior. He's truly a better behaved pup since his time at Blakemoore. They're awesome - you'll love them.

Oh my! Where do I start! Channing is amazing. My dog actually didn't mind being there. Normally, as soon as he sees me or hears me, he starts going nuts. Not this time! Whatever Channing and his staff is doing keep doing it! Thank you! Everyone was nice too! AND, my dog looks freaking amazing!

I was on a long road trip cross country but decided to stop in New Orleans to explore a bit. I brought my 2 dogs in for a day of doggy daycare, the staff was super helpful and friendly. You need proof of vaccine that are up to date, but they can get that faxed from the dogs vet. they welcome new pets which was great because many businesses need time before to allow services. Overall I had a great experience Dakota was super nice and helpful and answered any questions I had. It was their first time at a doggy daycare so I called to check in on them, and they were happy to give me an update on how they're were doing. The prices are very are fair which was a plus! Thank you Blakemoore Bark! Here's some pics of my fur babies enjoy!

I'm spending March here in NOLA . Loki, my minature poodle, and I are from the Great White North aka. Michigan.

Because we do not live in the area, we had to do a significant amount of research, ask detailed questions, and place a great deal of trust in the person we chose. May appeared professional, was knowledgeable about her services, and clearly cares about animals. Based on our early interactions, she seemed capable and experienced. However, communication became a major concern. Email responses were very slow, and important details were not provided until the last minute. The most concerning issue occurred one week before the wedding, when we finally received an invoice that included unexpected charges. While we were initially quoted $75 per hour, the invoice included over $200 in additional "consultation" fees. There was no formal consultation--only a few email exchanges (approximately 3-4 emails) requesting basic information about services and timelines, many of which went unanswered. Due to the lack of timely communication and the surprise fees so close to our wedding date, we ultimately felt uncomfortable moving forward and canceled our plans. Future clients may want to clarify all fees in writing upfront and ensure communication expectations are clearly established.

Yesterday he should up at 7 am fed her came back at 330 for a 10 minute and never showed back up last night. Here it is 9 am on Sunday and he still has not showed up. So I beg you please do not use this guy, he does not deliver his what he promised. She set up some in-house consultation time with me to meet her (Sarah) as well as the pet-sitter that would be responsible for my kitties. They were both lovely and I felt comfortable with them. I booked ( through the online portal) the days I needed her to visit the kitties ( I have 2 persian cats). Each visit is 30 minutes and costs around $20 per visit and then an extra $3 per cat. I document each cats details on the portal as well as instructions for them to follow. Updates are sent through the customer portal. I always feel as ease knowing that my kitties are being taken care of. They send daily updates through the portal with cute pics of your pet. I Just have to mention that when Hurricane Barry was said to impact New Orleans, my hubby and i decided to leave because we have a newborn and couldn't risk staying in New Orleans. I called Sarah the day we left and asked her if she could see to the cats while we were away and she agreed too. She is truly our life saver. We played it by ear and because the storms weren't too bad she was able to check on them daily keeping me informed the entire time. She even picked up my packages for me at no additional cost as this was separate visit. If you are considering their services, don't hesitate and book it now. As you can see from this post I have been using their services for almost 4 years now and going strong. My persian kitties just love them!

Needless to say, we were beyond impressed and asked for her info. We had adopted our super shy five-year-old ten pound terrier and were nervous he wouldn't warm up to a dog walker/trainer. Janette came over to our apartment to meet with us and Otis. During the meeting we were reassured - Janette is clearly an expert and cares deeply about the dogs she works with. After the first walk, Janette told us that Otis was nervous and struggled to stay with the pack or come when called. She suggested we do training walks, where she takes a smaller group of dogs out for a slightly higher price to focus on training. After only a month, Janette told us Otis was ready to graduate to normal walks. We noticed that Otis was more comfortable around other dogs and people, better behaved, and actually started to play at home. He is clearly a much happier dog since beginning his walks with Janette and Sabrina. I could not recommend R+ more highly. Janette and her team are professional, patient, and kind. All the doggy daycare facilities were either fully booked and/or closed, but we lucked out and found Kelly of Kanine Krewe NOLA through the concierge at the Loews Hotel (long story but we were planning to eat at Cafe Adelaide and called the hotel for ideas). Kelly was available on short notice and we booked her for three consecutive days. That allowed us to go to an anniversary dinner, a Christmas Eve party and a Christmas Day lunch. Kelly is punctual and arrives prepared. She will take pictures and text them to you so you can see how your dog is doing, although we declined since my wife and I were on dates. She is experienced and knew how to immediately get Stella comfortable with her. Starting with her second day, Stella was sad to see us go but immediately rushed back inside the house to play with Kelly. Kelly took Stella on walks and was great at accommodating her need for constant affection and snuggling. Each time we returned to the Airbnb, Stella was happy to see us but very calm and relaxed. Kanine Krewe NOLA was a huge relief. Stella was much happier, and my wife and I could enjoy our time in the city without worrying about our dog's wellbeing or that she was destroying the Airbnb we were staying at. One huge distinction between this and other services is the hours. Most places aren't available in the evening, but that's when sitters are needed the most. I highly recommend them for any visitors or any locals who need a few hours of pet sitting. We take our dog to doggy daycare regularly at home and have taken her to 24 hour doggy daycares in other cities, but the personal attention she received from Kelly was better than any of those other services and well worth the premium.

Over the years, we have bathed Flash every 2 weeks, brushed him regularly. Initially, we trimmed him at home. We have tried a couple of groomers, but were not satisfied. About 3 months ago, we tried Grooming by Lesa. We were very happy with his first grooming. They have a card they give out - Groomer's Tips: Mats. On the card they recommend a haircut every 6 to 8 weeks. So Flash went back in 8 weeks, and looked great. Recently, I booked a grooming appointment for Thursday, April 16. I was driving over at 8:30 to drop Flash off when Grooming by Lesa called and said they were overbooked and could not do Flash. After a couple of more calls, I was able to get Flash an appointment for Monday, April 20. Yesterday, 6 weeks after his second grooming session, he went back for his third grooming. This time, the grooming was a complete shave back to the skin. It was the first time he has ever been shaved by any groomer. He is a totally different dog. It will grow back. But we will never go back to Grooming by Lesa. Flash was dropped off at 8:30 in the morning. I was hoping to pick him up around 5 pm. At 4:27 pm, I received a text: "Hey this is Grooming by Lesa. I just want to let you know that Flash is really matted on his chest. He needs to go shorts. I need your permission first." I assumed that only his chest would be cut short. So I replied immediately "Okay. When can I pick him up?" The next text came back at 5:57 pm, 90 minutes later. I was already driving over because the groomer hours end at 6:00 pm "Hey you can walk in in about 10 minutes. Just finishing up his sanitary rounding his feet," I arrived at 6 pm and waited another 15 minutes. And Flash came out totally scalped. It was not a proper grooming. His look was totally unbalanced. His chest area was clipped back to his skin. His ears and tail were both a long tangled mess. This was not the first time I have waited long past the original pickup time. We are taking him to our veterinarian to make sure he is not injured. Also, Grooming by Lesa only takes cash payment. No credit cards or checks.
