I just returned from a 4 day trip to visit family and had Laura pet sit my chihuahua and chiweenie. I could not be more pleased with her. My dogs can be a little timid but they warmed right up to Laura during our initial meeting. It's obvious she is a true animal lover. I called and spoke with Laura. I was looking for a place to board my cats while we all are driving cross country and stopping in New Orleans. She took a very personal interest in helping me find the perfect place, since they do not board cats here. I'm well over due on this review. I needed someone to check on my cats after we moved to New Orleans 2 years ago. Laura came by and met with them before we left. She is a great pet sitter. She spends some time with them (and has been known to bring them toys and treats after asking if it's ok) and doesn't just clean the litter and check on the food. She just keeps our key and a few days before we are going out of town, I text her when we will be gone. She brings in our paper and mail (since we have trouble getting those stopped) and deals with our finicky alarm system. She always sends pictures of where they are hanging out that day. We were out of town before Ida and she even offered to take them with her or meet us with them! Talk about going above and beyond! She's reasonably priced and is willing to come every other day (a lot of the other pet services insisted on coming every day). I messaged her only a couple days before going out of town and she was more than willing to accommodate me. She was very enthusiastic about my pets (two cats, her specialty). I am beyond pleased with Laura and the excellent service she provided! I was gone for ten days and we set it up for her to come check on my cat for five of those days - every other day while I was away. During that time I had a leak in my air conditioner and she let me know and sent me photos. Instead of me having to worry, she was in touch with my landlord and even came an extra day at no charge to check and make sure everything was in order concerning the issue. She also loaned me her own "cat calming plug-in" for the two weeks and left toys here for us to keep. She also sent texts and picture updates and left a log of each day she was here for me to review upon my return. Wow! Laura is wonderful! She dropped everything to help me out this weekend when I had an emergency dog sitting situation. I am visiting and she didn't mind spending hours in my hotel room (the hotel surprised me by saying you can't leave your pet alone for any amount of time). She remained very patient with my nervous dog and didn't get upset when my dog hid in her crate and grumbled at her the whole time. She also worked with me when I was unsure about my return time and was extremely conscious about not overcharging me- this is very rare with this type of business.
