These people are despicable!…read more My husband and I went in for a visit for our cat, and we overheard an older staff woman behind the counter, through the paper-thin walls, say, "Why would they bring their cat in for the visit if they didn't have the money for the medicine?!" The staff member she was speaking to then told her, "Shh, keep your voice down." And she said (and I quote), "No, I don't care, let them hear me!" We called and asked about the costs before we decided to make the appointment because we were concerned. It was during the holiday season, and we were running low on money, and vet visits can be extremely expensive, to which the receptionist on the phone sympathized with us, saying that they understood. Once we were there, we instantly regretted making the appointment with them. From our arrival to our departure, the discrimination against us increased drastically, to the point that it became exceedingly tough to endure. All of the staff members were stuck-up and rude, showing no consideration for the impoverished family whatsoever. You could actually feel the dirty looks and negative energy from the DVM when he walked into the room, which was completely uncalled for, unpleasant, and unprofessional. To address the staff's nasty comments, the whole reason we called the vet in the first place was because doing Something is better than doing Nothing for our pet, and we were very well aware that we would have to pay for medicine, and were capable and willing to do so. My friend, a few years back, who used to work there, told me that she was eventually fired from St. Bernard Veterinary Hospital because she found out that one of the male vets were abusing the animals in the back. She went public and blasted them on Facebook, and they were in some hot water for a while. Some of you might actually know who l'm talking about or have even heard about this. Mind you: These are also the same people who also took my expensive $1,500 cat about five years ago when we brought him in to be neutered - that wasn't a stray, feral, or community cat - and clipped his ear without our permission! I trusted them, and they're lucky that I didn't sue them because it was done with intention. Don't give these people, who are the most undeserving, your money. My experience and the experience of others outweigh their "experience" altogether, and my experience, as well as the experiences of others corroborate the facts. FYl: The only opinions that matter are the ones that are exposing this type of evil.

I was taking him to different big box stores (with "Pet" in their names) and my dog was basically traumatized each time. Well, today I took little 3.5 pound holy terror Harley to Bonnie's. wow, I'm just so impressed with her professionalism, pricing, care, expertise, and quick in and out service. I will for sure utilize her services again and HIGHLY recommend that you do so as well.

Yes, it took a while to get an initial appointment with her but once you can get in with her she puts you on a schedule and there is no problem getting appointments as long as you stick to the schedule. She is very busy. We drop her off very early in the day and she is usually already half full with small dogs. It is usually just her and one assistant but sometimes it is only her. She can only do so many dogs in a day so I understand that if she is 100% booked why she couldn't take a walk-in. We typically drop her off in the morning and will get a text when she is done sometime in the mid to late afternoon. Most groomers due the big dogs last so we are used to this and prefer it this way. Our pup is usually very happy to go see Bonnie and now knows exactly where her spot is when she walks in. As for the grooming, she does a great job. We typically go with just a short cut for our poodle but we have experimented with the crazy poodle cuts and she did them very well too. She usually comes home with painted nails and bows to match whichever holiday is coming up next. Cost for a Standard Poodle is $80.

Over the years, we have bathed Flash every 2 weeks, brushed him regularly. Initially, we trimmed him at home. We have tried a couple of groomers, but were not satisfied. About 3 months ago, we tried Grooming by Lesa. We were very happy with his first grooming. They have a card they give out - Groomer's Tips: Mats. On the card they recommend a haircut every 6 to 8 weeks. So Flash went back in 8 weeks, and looked great. Recently, I booked a grooming appointment for Thursday, April 16. I was driving over at 8:30 to drop Flash off when Grooming by Lesa called and said they were overbooked and could not do Flash. After a couple of more calls, I was able to get Flash an appointment for Monday, April 20. Yesterday, 6 weeks after his second grooming session, he went back for his third grooming. This time, the grooming was a complete shave back to the skin. It was the first time he has ever been shaved by any groomer. He is a totally different dog. It will grow back. But we will never go back to Grooming by Lesa. Flash was dropped off at 8:30 in the morning. I was hoping to pick him up around 5 pm. At 4:27 pm, I received a text: "Hey this is Grooming by Lesa. I just want to let you know that Flash is really matted on his chest. He needs to go shorts. I need your permission first." I assumed that only his chest would be cut short. So I replied immediately "Okay. When can I pick him up?" The next text came back at 5:57 pm, 90 minutes later. I was already driving over because the groomer hours end at 6:00 pm "Hey you can walk in in about 10 minutes. Just finishing up his sanitary rounding his feet," I arrived at 6 pm and waited another 15 minutes. And Flash came out totally scalped. It was not a proper grooming. His look was totally unbalanced. His chest area was clipped back to his skin. His ears and tail were both a long tangled mess. This was not the first time I have waited long past the original pickup time. We are taking him to our veterinarian to make sure he is not injured. Also, Grooming by Lesa only takes cash payment. No credit cards or checks.
