I took him into Dr. Addison and she was quick to pinpoint the problem. First she gave me some medicine to give to him and when that didn't work she came up with another solution that helped my cat immediately. Dr. Addison specializes in feline care and because of this she is quite knowledgeable about anything that might be bothering your cat. She is also good about follow ups. I brought my cat back in for a follow up checkup and she even called me to make sure that he was feeling better. I wouldn't hesitate to bring any of my cats back to Aurora.

My dog was scheduled to receive a Bordetella vaccine, we waited over 20 minutes in the lobby before being seen. When I went to ask the receptionist who was extremely rude, how much longer it would be she said I was up next, but that was all. I told her I would need to reschedule if it was going to take much longer, about 5 minutes later a tech came out to grab my dog. She returned shortly where I thought I was going to check out and be on my way. I then find out she still needed to see the vet for an exam, although she was just spayed and received an exam in July 2026, she also had an exam in May 2026, an exam in April 2026 along with a parasite screening, an exam in January 06 2026. None of these additional services were discussed beforehand with me! The confirmation text message to confirm her appointment read, Bordetella only. When I asked how much the exam would be she told me $75, I refused to pay a $75 exam fee that had not yet even been performed, as they told me it would take even longer to wait to be seen by the vet. My biggest concern isn't simply the additional charges every, but the lack of communication and the way the situation was handled. The manager kept telling me its standard procedure, as I told her. That's standard procedure to her and the vets office but not the customer, this should be explained and made clear. Why would we automatically assume a fecal test and an exam would be done if I call and book a Bordetella vaccine? The manager then told me that they could just print out all of my records, what professionalism she showed, and pay for the services I did receive. They charged me for a fecal test, that was never run for the Bordetella vaccine, and printed out my dogs records. Aurora will never receive business from us again, which is such a shame that this is how they treat their military clients and their pets!

I called my regular vet, and although I've never had any issues with them in the past, I was disappointed by how nonchalant the response was. I understand that they had no appointments available, but there was also very little empathy or reassurance. I was simply advised to take my puppy to an emergency vet or come in the next day. I then called Animal Care Clinic, and the person who answered the phone was incredibly caring, compassionate, and concerned. After consulting with Dr. Esposito, they advised me to bring my puppy in right away. Without going into all of the details, I can honestly say that Dr. Esposito and the entire staff were amazing. Although the situation could have been very serious, they kept the atmosphere calm and even lighthearted while making sure my puppy received the care and attention she needed. I am so grateful for the compassion, professionalism, and genuine concern they showed both my puppy and me. It was clear that they truly cared, and that meant so much during an incredibly stressful situation. This was his third and FINAL time going there!! The second time I picked him up I noticed he was cut to short in his face as it was extremely red and he wouldn't stop scratching at it and it eventually scabbed over as it was healing. I was hesitant to bring him back for the third time but I did anyhow. I didn't notice how bad he was until we got home when he wouldn't stop dragging his face on the carpet and scratching at it again. His skin has been so irritated and extremely red, he flinched when I tried to touch him from it being so agitated. I was called by one of the workers and she informed me of how sorry she was and the groomers was new and she must've used bad clippers, but the thing that really got me was she claimed she didn't see. I'm not sure what her role is but it's unacceptable if you hired a groomer and you're not aware of the quality of work they can do. The fact that people actually entrust you with their pets and THIS is what they get is not okay!! There's no way any animal should be in the care of your facility and you just not see what's going on! I do not recommend them and will NOT be returning. I'm disgusted and extremely upset!!

However, communication became a major concern. Email responses were very slow, and important details were not provided until the last minute. The most concerning issue occurred one week before the wedding, when we finally received an invoice that included unexpected charges. While we were initially quoted $75 per hour, the invoice included over $200 in additional "consultation" fees. There was no formal consultation--only a few email exchanges (approximately 3-4 emails) requesting basic information about services and timelines, many of which went unanswered. Due to the lack of timely communication and the surprise fees so close to our wedding date, we ultimately felt uncomfortable moving forward and canceled our plans. Future clients may want to clarify all fees in writing upfront and ensure communication expectations are clearly established.
