This store was ok. It wasn't busy when I visited. There was a bit of cluttered throughout and we even passed by some dog poop on the floor.. we did find an employee who quickly cleaned it up.. They didn't have what i was looking for but got some other treats for my lil furry baby.. prices were decenthas convenient parking and there were not a lot of people there when I went. The prices were decent and Alot of parking

I brought my sweet golden for grooming services and when we went to pick him up we were told that he hurt himself in the crate and he suffer a cut on his head. No excuse is acceptable for this situation. Even if the dog is stressed he should never be allowed to be placed in an unsafe crate. Avoid this place.

This is the scene every time I walk into this store. Empty shelves with partitions and racks blocking the empty shelves where the product I want to purchase is supposed to be. This store is always a mess and never properly stocked. Really aggravating because they are one of the places that stock the product I like. Get your act together.

Can someone please post, Petco Hartsdale groomer and trainer photo board!? (if that's not weird) it would be a lot easier when booking appointment, to know who you are booking with, especially because some of the employees have the same name :)

Angelo saved our dog's life -- and I mean that in the most literal sense possible…read more Oliver is a rescue who had been surrendered by two families before us. We took him in, loved him, and still found ourselves in crisis -- biting, aggression, resource guarding. We were scared of our dog and desperate for help. Oliver was our fifth dog and as a family we were seasoned users of positive reinforcement as the primary training method. We turned to Angelo at Art of K9 and made the decision to board Oliver for 8 weeks. He took on Oliver after a thorough consultation. Angelo worked through Oliver's aggression and resource guarding using the e-collar and other training tools. These methods gave us the ability to communicate with and control our dog in a way positive reinforcement couldn't. The transformation is hard to put into words. Oliver is now relaxed, cuddly, and genuinely at peace. He still has his moments -- but now we have the tools to handle them. This has changed everything. If you have a dog with serious aggression or resource guarding and you're at your breaking point, I highly recommend Angelo. He didn't just train Oliver -- he saved his life and we are so thankful.

At first, we second guessed our choice to leave Monsi for 6-weeks because we missed her. Every time we checked in with Angelo, he updated us, but we missed our fur baby so much. Now, afterwards, I can't stop recommending this program to everyone I know. It's a worthwhile investment IF you plan to KEEP UP with it. All of Angelo's work can easily be undone with dog owners that do not upkeep the foundation he creates. Currently our dog listens to each command after one time saying it, she is walking off leash behind us, does not lurk around the table while we eat or cook, stays in place for 2-hours and counting, and more. Overall, she has many service dog qualities. I need to give credit where it is due because our dog was unsure of herself, very anxious, annoying at times because she didn't know what to do during quiet hours at home and needed way too much physical exercise (4+ hours daily). He taught us, and our dog Monsi, that exercise and socialization looks different than we thought. Monsi is the dog we dreamed of and didn't know how to achieve. He tapped into her potential. She does not impede our life in anyway. She adds on to the quality and is stress free now that we know how to maintain and handle her. Not only that, but my parents sent their dog at the same time as our dog. So now we have two dogs that listen to the same command. We can bring our dogs on vacation and have complete calm and fun with them present. This was the greatest gift to a life of joy with a well trained fur family member! Thank you Angelo and Art of K9. I know picking a program at such a cost is nerve recking since there is not enough information or proof online but promise me, this is the place. We put a lot of trust into prior reviews and tiktok/Instagram videos.... We got lucky finding this place. It's a hidden gem of Westchester. If anyone needs more details to convince you this program is worth it, contact me. I'll convince you- haha!

I'm puzzled by the amount of negative reviews there are on this page. My experience at the store…read morewas excellent and I actually purchased a kitten! Let me just start off by saying, it's painfully obvious that majority of the negative reviews here are written by animal rights activists. I get the whole "adopt don't shop" thing you guys have going on but maybe if the animal rescue groups in Westchester hasn't made it extremely difficult to adopt, I wouldn't have went the purchasing route. (Send me a message and I would love to share my experience with a couple animal rescues in Westchester). Back to Westchester P&K --- I went on a Friday evening and the store was decently packed. I was able to walk around and be assisted quickly though. Megan is probably one of the friendliest pet store employees I've ever met. She was extremely polite, patient and friendly. I was able to meet a couple different kittens and was allowed as much time as I needed to play and interact with them. Not once was I rushed to wrap up my playtimes with the kittens and I was not pressured into the purchase. Any ways, I decided on a kitten I wanted and was given a price. BECAUSE I'VE DONE MY HOMEWORK, I already had a budget set in mind. The price that was quoted to me was only a couple hundred dollars over my budget. It worked out perfectly and Megan worked as fast as she can to complete my purchase. Overall, it was a very very good experience and my new kitten's been energetic, eating well and using her litter box with no issues. Some of the negative reviews here: - "The animals are kept in tiny cages" --- I've been to many animal shelters and pet stores and let me just tell you, the cages are all the same size. - "The animals were overpriced and the store took advantage of covid-19 to jack up the prices" --- Just say you're poor and move along. It's a business. They are not a charity. Maybe check yourself in the mirror and settle for a mud instead of a pure bred. You do not NEED a pure-bred animal. - "These animals definitely come from mills" --- I don't think there's a pet store on earth that doesn't get their puppies/kittens from mills. Again, if you're that concerned about it, go adopt one from the pound. TL;DR: My experience at the store was great. I would highly suggest you have a minimum $2500 budget before visiting. If you're uncomfortable with animals possibly coming from puppy/kitten mills... don't go. Go to the pound and call it a day. Nice staff members here.

He is now 3 years old. His paperwork stated he wasn't operated on, which was my goal to buy a pure breed poodle and possibly mate him with a female. And then..... when I took him for his first visit at the Veterinary office, I was told he actually got neutered and his paperwork stated otherwise. So they falsified information just to get the money! So careless and I wish I would've took legal action against them. Paid SO MUCH money to be scammed!

Julius Caesar was rescued from an abusive home and was going to be put down because there was no room for him at the shelter. What started as a foster quickly became an adoption because we knew he needed our love and help. He was highly reactive and terrified of almost everything-- people, sounds, other animals, etc. It was almost impossible to calm him and get him to stop barking. We started at PCOTC and tried two different instructors, who were great, but there was no difference in Julius's behavior. I'm grateful we didn't give up because once we found Betsy and Alice, everything changed for the better. They understood him on a completely different level than other instructors. Their support and encouragement are what made his progress possible. After one year of their weekly classes, Julius has become his best self!! People think he's been medicated or simply a different dog because of how much he's changed!! He now gets excited to go to class, see all his friends, and show off his outfits. We couldn't be happier that he finally feels safe and comfortable in his own home. These extraordinary ladies deserve a RAISE and the fattest bonus because they helped us save our fur baby. Even though Julius doesn't need much training anymore, we plan to continue with Betsy and Alice's classes because we are beyond grateful for all they've done and enjoy watching him improve. So much love and appreciation for them both; thank you for working a true miracle

He was not only a nuisance around our apartment, but was actually rather embarrassing. I had previously met with a behavioral trainer and a traditional trainer closer to me (Rockland Co.) but neither one of them GOT my dog or his issues. They didn't see what I saw and were entirely dismissive of my concerns. From the first meeting with Neil, it was a completely different vibe. He listened to my concerns, anticipated behaviors before I explained them, and assured me that we could work on the issues without changing his personality or creating a robot dog. Perhaps most importantly, my dog immediately took to him and loved him (this is a dog who is usually a bit wary around new people). While Orion is still working on his training, his ability to focus and ignore background issues has improved in an astounding way. The group classes are also a wonderful perk to the training curriculum. They are fun and really help to enforce the dog's focus in different environments. While you can find tons of rave reviews about Sit Means Sit online.... I think that Neil is truly what sets this particular location apart. From his ability to connect with the animals, to his understanding of common (and maybe some not so common) behavioral issues, to his patience, and ability to explain things in a light hearted way... he makes the training experience much more fun and turns it into a bonding experience with your pet, rather than feeling like you are punishing your dog ... you just feel like you are having fun together while both learning new things. Neil not only takes pride in his work, but truly takes all of "his dogs" successes as a personal matter. You can see his pride when he sees one of the dogs "get it" and you can tell how much he loves what he does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Neil to anybody looking for a trainer, even if they have been let down by trainers before. This experience will be different... I can promise you that.
