I have been working with Zen Dog Pet Care for about two months now. Priscilla walks my puppy Hudson. My boyfriend and I live in an apartment in Bronxville. Jon, the President, is amazing at meeting our scheduling needs and always does his best to help us. Priscilla is extremely kind, caring and dedicated. I can always get in touch with her, count on her to send me daily reports and trust her to make any changes we need. Hudson loves her and we are so happy to have her. We have been working with Zen dog for four years. Jon is amazing with our two dogs. Rain, shine, snow or storm, Jon is there five days a week to take our dogs on their daily trek. This is not just a walk, it is hour long hike with other dogs. Our dogs come home happy and tired! During the trek, Jon sends us pictures as we can see how they are doing. The best part is they have daily opportunities to socialize with other dogs and people. As a result, our dogs are so well socialized, they transition to multiple new setting and easily adjust to new people and other pets. As we return to in person work, this service is indispensable to our family and to our pups. As someone who has used this service regularly for years, I wholeheartedly recommend Jon and Zen Dog. We have been extremely pleased with our Zen Dog service. We have tried both the monthly dog walking and the half day trek and play. Paula did our daily walks and she was reliable and communicative. The trek and play is awesome! Our dog goes to the dog park for half the day and we come home to a happy, well exercised pup. It also helped condition him to the car, which was such a relief, as before he was afraid of the car and would sometimes get car sick. Thankfully, those days are over and he happily hops in the car now. Zen Dog has been flexible and accommodating with our changing schedules this summer and the Pet Cloud updates have offered peace of mind when we are away or at work. Its fine as long as the there is no issue. I set up an appointment for him to meet our dog on Sep 16th @ 11am. Sure enough, Sunday comes around and no jon. I sat around for an hour waiting for him, and after no phone call or email, I went about my day. Finally when i got hold of him on the phone he was really defensive and will not own up to any issues Poor communication skills and unprofessional. I would never trust my dog with this man or "company." read more

We used Zen Dog for about a year. I was not happy with them for multiple reasons. They are extremely expensive, over $1100 monthly for "full day" off leash walks. "Full day" to them is on average 10:30am pick up to around 3:30pm drop off. During the time we used them, they apparently had another dog on their off-leash walks who sounded small and not physically active from their description, so my large active dog frequently did not get adequate exercise, and was full of energy at the end of the day. Jon, the owner, told me that "(the other dog) would die if we were any more active" that was his reasoning for my dog not getting the activity I was paying for! My dog ended up gaining a tremendous amount of weight the year we used Zen Dogs. They used a GPS mapping service for walks for "accountability" but during the entire year i couldnt get it to work. Jon's wife Nicole frequently takes the dogs out. She is friendly up front, but the minute you have an issue to discuss, she gets angry, seriously nasty and unprofessional. Jon is more professional, but hands a lot of management over to Nicole, who is truly awful. If there is one hint of inclement weather Nicole will cancel your walk - never mind if *you* have to go to work, she doesn't! - and you're screwed. Very unreliable. Forget about getting any money back. We stopped using them over six months ago when we moved. Nicole told me on a Thursday that the next day, Friday, was our last walk, so i was scrambling last minute to find another walking arrangement. I work full time and needed a stool sample for the next arrangement. Nicole refused to get it, stating that she went to vet tech school and she knows that stool samples need to be fresh, not a day old. I couldn't believe how unhelpful she was being. When I begged her to collect the sample, that less than 24h wouldn't be an issue, that I have never had a vet complain about stool samples I provided, she texted, "(my name) are we having a problem??" She was so rude and unprofessional, and it continued to bother me even after I stopped their services. I wasn't going to leave a review, but even after six months I still feel ripped off by them, and Nicole's behavior was consistently awful. If you are considering using their services, I feel you should know about my experience with them. Seems like many others have also had issues with their lack of professionalism. I do want to add that my dog adored Jon. read more

With the daily updates in the app, I was kept up to date on how well my pup was doing and how happy she clearly was playing with the other dogs. I have been using Zendog for a year now for daily midday walks for my miniature pinscher. While we were new to the area moving to Westchester from Chicago, everyone at Zendog has been great at providing us with local information including an excellent vet. Roxie is a furry child to me and every day I am confident she is in great hands with humans who love her as much as I do! Just as life goes, there have been the trials and last minute happenings for which the Zendog team have always been there. Jon and Nicole run a great business and have a warm, welcoming philosophy and understand their priority are the pet clients as much as the human ones. I appreciate that since that is what I'm looking for, handle me well, but handle my dog better :) I would highly recommend their services and my dog gives them two paws up as well. read more

Hands down the greatest dog walking experience we've ever had. Our Pippa was with them for two years and came back every day exhausted and content. The walkers are professional and truly love animals. We're so sad to end our sessions but we're going down to one income and unfortunately the dog walking had to get cut. I had a good working relationship with Zen Dog but always had issues with their billing. Their had their billing system tampered with by an employee and lost the history. I went through my records and gave them the information so they could bill me for the six months I had not received a bill. I received a billing on Thursday and on Monday received an email from them asking why the payment hadn't been made yet. I was taken back that after basically recreating the information they needed to bill me, they were now asking for payment four days after my receipt. I should also mention that I had received a cancer diagnosis the previous day and had my mind otherwise occupied. The situation went down hill from there and we mutually agreed to termiinate service. It's too bad they got so defensive and angry. Also they refused to return my key - so paid $425 to locksmith. A good company with owners that did a good job but needed to lose the attitudes. I was a good client - but found out there are other equally good companies. read more

Zen Dog Life has been a life changer for my husband and I. Our former dog walker quit on a Friday evening and Jon at Zen Dog Life swooped in to make an extremely stressful situation easy. He had our meet and greet set up within an hour of me calling him. we love zen dog! they are professional, responsive, friendly and above all, they really care about their four-legged clients (and human counterparts). they send immediate notifications when your dog walker arrives and leaves, a map showing the route they walk, and notes about the walk (including a "business report" and any other feedback). even pictures and videos of your dog in action. several of our neighbors have spontaneously told us how great they are with our dog. :)! zen dog is the best! read more
