Strut Your Pup - happy hot dog at the halloween party!

Strut Your Pup is genuinely the BEST daycare (& boarding & grooming) ever…read more As a single dog mom with a very irregular work schedule, they've been an absolute lifesaver. They make everything so easy for me -- they do both pick-up and drop-off (only $10 each way on weekdays and $30 on weekends!), which is huge when I'm working long or weird hours and can't get home in time. They also literally have everything I could ever need in one place: daycare, boarding, veterinary care, and grooming. Peach has boarded with them before and it went perfectly. And the grooming? They do it while she's already at daycare and then drop her off at home clean and fluffy, so I come home to a happy, tired, freshly groomed dog. It's the most convenient thing ever. The grooming prices are very reasonable and the quality of the grooming is the best she's had (and we've tried MANY groomers). They're incredibly responsive over text and email, which I appreciate when I'm at work and can't call. And one of my absolute favorite parts: the daily report card and photos of my dog every single day so I know exactly how she's doing. Plus they have a live webcam you can access from anywhere -- I check in on Peach from work all the time and it always makes my day. I truly can't recommend Strut Your Pup enough. They treat my dog like family and make my life as a busy dog mom so much easier.

Addison the Dog Walker - Dog Walker Extraordinaire, Chelsea, Hell's Kitchen

Addison the Dog Walker

I had had a dog walker who was super unreliable (cancelled on me last minute, lost my keys twice), whose boss nickel and dimed me for everything, without taking any responsibility for any of their wrongdoings. Addison is extremely reliable and communicative. He walks Molly in her group five days a week while I'm at work. I was hesitant about her walking in a group before, but he never walks too many dogs at once, and brings his helper if needed. He sends me plenty of photos, and it's clear that she's having a blast! He really learns their personalities and tells me how she's progressing on her walks and in the group. You can tell that he cares for each individual dog so much! What a relief when I'm away at work every day.

I chatted with him for a few minutes and he generously shared his thoughts and tips about the competitive business of dog walking when I asked him for that advice. It was a great conversation and I felt strangely compelled in that moment to write this review and snap a pic to capture the moment. Thanks for the chat, Addison. I believe any Chelsea or Hell's Kitchen dog would be lucky to have you as their walker!

Great service here! I called you a couple months ago because one of my pet parents (I am a breeder)…read morecalled me just panicking because she was on vacation and her neighbor friends that were watching her puppy Frankie, a ten month old miniature dachshund and unfortunately they were unable to sleep because he was whining and up all night crying and they could not sleep and that now she needed to find a place for him to stay immediately. Although they were, at the time reserved and very busy, they took the time to speak with me on the phone and go over everything with what they did with the pups and how they took care of them each individually and very conscientiously and with great care and I was very impressed with their service and the level of care they provided for the pet parents' fur babies. They reassured me that they would do everything possible to make sure he was extremely well taken care of and that his separation anxiety was also addressed while his mom was away on business so that way when she came home he would be a better puppy and most likely to react as strongly when she went away the next time. I like that they have specific program just for separation anxiety to calm the pets as well, you can tell they take a lot of pride in their work and really care about the animals and that the customers are happy with the great level of care they provide for their babies. I would recommend this place because I would even choose this place myself for my pets, if I were ever visiting there in Jersey City that is, and that really says a lot.

Terrible. First off these 5 star reviews must be FAKE the pet sitter that was supposed to be…read moresitting was changed last minute, without giving us notice. Also 4 out of the 6 schedule visits the sitters showed up more than two hours late. On top of that the tracking app and check-in and check-out scans were very conveniently "not working " luckily we have a home security system that records the times they were there. In one occasion we also noticed they didn't bother to clean the litter box so we had to contact their boss and make them go back to clean it. How ridiculous I am doing that so called bosses job. Not to mention the sitter looked in boxes that looked like jewelry boxes luckily we had hid those away beforehand. So if you are ok with all this go for it. Otherwise you are better off getting someone off the street to pet sit for you. No it is not a mistake. I literately spoke to Pedro over the phone and he made up excuses and he still charged me. I'm adding the payment I made. I can't believe they have no shame. Specially after being so negligent, wow, everyone stay away this is the type of people you let in your home.

I always get super fast responses through email so I'm comfortable knowing that they're readily available in case of an emergency. In case Rusty chewed up anything (he's 7 months old, you know how it goes) they helped clean it up and were totally transparent about it! They even replen his water bowl, etc. My Rusty always looks forward to his daily small group walks and I rest easy at work knowing that he's in great hands. The rates are also incredible- the quality for the amazing price ($12 for a small group walk, $22 for private!!) is unbeatable. 10/10 stars isn't enough!!

At first, Carole the…read moremanager was very responsive and helpful over email and our dog seemed happy with the walker, Darrel. The service we agreed upon was for Darrel to walk our dog and then put out his food and fresh water for him before leaving. There were frequent problems-- small at first-- with following the instructions. Darrel would forget to refill the water dish or would not close the refrigerator after feeding the dog (the dog food is in there). Each time we communicated the problem to Carole, she would tell us she'd remind Darrel but the problems continued. Once or twice, Darrel left our apartment door unlocked after walking the dog and bringing him home (luckily nothing bad happened). The final straw was that Darrel forgot to feed the dog a couple of weeks ago. We reached out to Carole to address the issue, which to us represented an escalating pattern of inadequate care for our dog and disregard of our simple instructions. Her response was that she "didn't like the tone" of our email, said that feeding and not charging extra for it was "doing a favor"-- charging extra to feed the dog was never something that was mentioned to us AT ALL throughout the course of the year we were using their services-- and proceeded to say she would no longer work with us. No apology, no attempts to make things right-- just an unwillingness to take feedback and accept responsibility when something that jeopardized the well-being of our dog happened on their watch. We have moved on to another walking company and are much happier with their services and willingness to communicate. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of zero is because these mistakes didn't happen every time our dog was walked and there were some weeks throughout the year where everything went according to plan. Would very much recommend against using this small business since they don't take responsibility for their mistakes, don't respond effectively to requests to correct them, and simply terminate their working relationship when you point out flaws in their service.
