No matter who grooms my dog, i am always happy. Great customer service from all the groomers. Vitalcare is a great service!

Using a furminator after a bath and deshed plus "groom"
Tyler T.

I took my two dogs here to be groomed. I payed for the Bath and Deshedding Plus package for both (appx. $85 each). I immediately noticed that my male dog still had clumps of shed in his bum. The groomer let me know that he attempted to site most of the time, so I decided to go ahead and brush both of them out with my furminator tool, and this is how much hair came out of both of them! I was appalled at how much came out of his back and neck area! If I am paying an extra $40 to get them deshedded, it needs to be done correctly.

Susan from Petco was the best! This lady was so knowledgeable and helpful! She had a awesome attitude and made a great plan for my picky eating 51/2lb Shih Tzu! She told me about the Petco plan so we can save money. She deserves the biggest raise possible and definitely a keeper! I am making Petco my new store. You never get This service from petsmart! Go say hi to Susan she will be very happy to help. Giver a big raise she really deserves it!!!!!Thank you Susan for helping us and Bailey!

Wound from the groomer

Updated! Petco responded to the situation and offered to take care of the vet bill and even offered a free grooming service. Megan, the manager was very friendly, professional and kind. I appreciate their responsiveness!

The razor burn from Angie's grooming.
Chelsea A.

We had Angie groom our minature poodle since our regular groomer moved. I love shopping at petco and I had high hopes for their grooming salon. Unfortunately I was severely disappointed. When I picked him up, I first noticed she didn't pluck his ears. So I called back (I was already running late for a prior engagement) and they said to bring him back Sunday. Well, when I got him home, I was able to check him out. This is when I noticed the awful razor burn under his chin, on his neck. Through the evening, it bled pretty consistently. I took him back Sunday and showed the manager. They cleaned hm up and gave me aloe spray for him. Angie told me she didnt pluck his ears because they were red (although she didnt feel the need to tell me about it when I first picked him up). I was willing to let it go until I took him to the vet to have his ears plucked. When they looked at him, they said his ears were fine and there was no reason she should have skipped plucking them. So on top of the outrageously expensive haircut, I had to pay the vet another 60 to pluck and clean his ears (WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BY THE GROOMER). Angie was unprofessional and did not even meet my expectations. Not to mention she felt the need to say negative things about me because I complained about her work. I will never let her near my dogs again. If you want to try Petco grooming, the only person I suggest using is Jessica.

Took our dogs to Petco last Saturday for a de-shedding. This is what my husband managed to get off of one of them today.

All of them in Clarksville stated that they couldn't do it; due to needing the dog to be able to stand on it's own in some brace/contraption. This groomer never said it was an issue and never made it seem it would be issue with her being in a diaper. They take care of her, even with her anxiety issues, and she's in a fresh diaper when we pick her up. She looks like a brand new pup every single time with bows/bandannas in her hair.

Definitely worth every penny…read more I stopped by on Saturday not aware of the time they closed. The regular hours were closed, but I opened the door and asked if I could get a tour even though they had closed an hour ago. The guy said sure without any hesitation. The rooms are clean, indoor, and the play area is clean and inviting too. Everything here is beautiful. Smiles from the workers as well. Dogs are not allowed to play or sleep together unless they already live together. So there is no doggy socialization here. They protect themselves and the dogs from any harm. I'm okay with that. We get our own socialization with other dogs at the dog park. The smaller rooms with no TV cost $24 per night. The large luxury suites cost $26 per night and come with a TV (one per room) that plays animal planet all day long. This was Moo's (our pup) first time here so I got her the luxury suite and left her there for one night. She LOVES animal planet. Sometimes they will take your animal the night before WITHOUT a charge to make it easier on them if they don't have anyone to receive her the next morning. They wanted to do that for us, but we weren't ready to leave her and wanted to make sure she had her own toy and food since she's allergic to some foods. They made it possible for us to drop her off at our preferred time though. The next morning, we dropped her off and they took her collar off which surprised me since I thought they might need to keep track of her for any reason, but I guess it's their normal thing since the dogs don't play together, they have no problems with mix ups. I thought that was interesting. After I picked Moo up, she got a cute scarf on her neck, kissed the two ladies goodbye who helped bring her out to me, and was smiling the whole way home. She was very happy to see us again. Her first night away from home since we got her at the shelter. I don't know if she slept very well, since during the day it was extremely noisy, but I don't really expect it not to be with the dogs there. I wonder if they quiet down at night when the lights go off. I hope so. Moo was very very sleepy and tired the next two days. She recovered after that. I am only curious about whether or not she went to the bathroom there (in her room or outside during one of her three play times) because she doesn't go to the bathroom anywhere except in our backyard at home...not even at the park or anywhere else for that matter. I asked about it, but they didn't have specifics. She's fine though. I definitely recommend this place. GO SEE IT or LOOK AT THE WEBSITE. The rooms look exactly like the pictures. I forgot to take my own pictures from outside the building, but see my dog all smiley with her cute little scarf?

I wouldn't normally bring my dog to daycare but yesterday I had to because we were getting work…read moredone in the house. I brought him here (cannon dr.) because it's very close to my job and had relatively reasonable prices. I came to say hi on my break because it was his first time and I wanted to check in (don't judge he's my baby) when I came in to see him he was bleeding from his legs and paws, split a dewclaw in half and was covered in drool (one of his stress responses) the staff then told me he was moved to the other building because he climbed on top of the crate he was in. he filed down all his nails trying to get out of the crate/kennel they had him in. he was brought outside on a leash only. he was not able to free roam or play with other dogs. I guess doggy daycares here are different from where I am from because for me a doggy daycare is a place dogs can run around and not be in a cage all day. hence why I brought him there. I will never be bringing him back and I hope to find a place that will actually take care of him while I'm at work and not lock him in a crate. if you're comfortable with paying for your dog to be locked up all day, don't hesitate to bring them here but if you're looking for a place for your dog to run around and have fun with other dogs this is not the place. The staff was very friendly and sent 3 pictures of him while I was working. they were all very kind. I'm just confused on what their job is if they aren't watching the dogs in their care. this was all easily preventable.

I've spent the last few months letting my Pomeranian's coat grow in order to counter the butchering…read moreshe endured from another groomer. When I called to set up the appointment I recounted our experience with the other groomer, and the employee I was speaking with was appalled at my story. I asked if their groomers were skilled in scissor-cutting double-coated dogs. She asked me to hold while she consulted the groomer. As it turns out, the groomer who took care of my dog has owned Pomeranians in the past and is well-versed in how to groom them properly WITH scissors. So I made the appointment and was told that it would probably be only 60 to 90 minutes. That was surprising for a bath, haircut, and nail trim...or maybe I'm just used to the other groomer and their 3 hour grooming windows. Riley's even calls to give you a 15 minute heads up that the grooming is almost complete. My girl looked good when I went to pick her up. She had a bath (presumably with unscented doggy shampoo since she didn't smell like an exotic dancer.) She even had a little bow in her hair. That was a nice touch. Maybe next time I'll ask them to paint her toenails. The most important thing is that she made my baby look like a Pomeranian again. It's gong to take a while longer to get her coat fully restored, although it may never grow back properly 100%, but the groomer was able to even things out so it doesn't have that weird look that we'd had before. At any rate, I'm pleased with the job Ms. Jackie did, and we'll be back.
