I have said all of this to the owner personally. -horrible communication, and it gets blamed on clients -not putting out quality training -price is TOO high for what you're putting out -lying about customers feeling that have been told to owner -owner treating trainers horribly -trainer treating other trainers disrespectfully We have been so disappointed in our training. Stanley was NOT ready to pass public access. We barely passed and we have a dog that's only good at walking on a leash. The miscommunication between the desk and the trainers was horrible and instead you blamed it on ME, the person paying your company to help us. We were told we could apply for scholarships but was NEVER told what it could be used for or when to apply. Also I asked multiple times when I could use the scholarship, was told it can't be used for the public access test (which is $210 too much) and wasn't able to be used for task training. We even did our public access test together with another team and there was 0 discount for either of us. I am HUGE about sending people to Legends Acres and my loyalty is huge but I will be suggesting many others including Tiffany's company (one of the trainers who left while we were training due to the communication and many other issues) and whoever we have to pay to get our dog up to service dog standards and will tell my HONEST opinion about the company from now on. Also the talking down about trainers by one trainer in particular was not very professional. I waited to write this until I was not emotional about the situation like when I called about another miscommunication issue back 6 months ago and the owner directly spoke to me and downplayed everything we spoke about and gaslit me saying it was a me and the trainers miscommunication when the trainers were telling me they wanted to do training and you weren't allowing it.

I'm not connected with Legend Acres in Stewart, TN, but I want to make people aware of this…read moretrainer. Owner/operator of Legend Acres, Kristi May, comes to Jackson for dog training classes on Sundays. My dog is doing so well, not just learning "tricks," but also behaviors. I learn cognitive exercises that he enjoys, how to "set him up to succeed" in his learning, and to strengthen our bond. At Legend Acres, she and her team provide so many services for dogs and horses. She has multiple degrees related to horses, dogs, animal facilities management, etc. Look at the website : legendacresboarding.com. I strongly recommend her to dog owners here in Jackson (and elsewhere).

Then, I had applied to meet her for adoption & met her, & took her home never looking back. This sweet girl had some tough knocks and behavior issues to go along with them. I enrolled her in a 6 week program with Mighty Dog Services. The team was patient and worked with her throughout the training. Her fear of other dogs, barking at people, pulling on leash walking, nervous pacing, separation anxiety all were resolved. She's a a happy camper that knows what I ask her do, she does it and happily takes praise and treats- and lots of love. They helped this dog overcome a rough past so she can trust and enjoy what she has now. She and I both are extremely thankful for the folks at Mighty Dog Services in Portland TN. They work with all breeds, ages and issues. They truly treat each as an individual and unlock all the potential the dog has to offer. As a dog mom- just as a mom of children. I would rather not fuss at my dog for behavior issues- I just want to love and enjoy them. Its possible , I promise give them a call.

How the mighty have fallen! In the nearly three years since we've been taking our Pomeranian to…read morePetco for grooming, we've seen the quality of service fall exponentially. Yesterday, I took Lily in hoping to have a good experience, but it wasn't to be. We've been letting her fur grow out because we want that classic Pomeranian look. I told the groomer that I didn't want her cut really close, that I just wanted her trimmed about 3/4 of an inch. What did I get? A dog that doesn't resemble a Pomeranian AT ALL! And the groomer (I wish I could remember her name) said, "Well, if she'd had a double coat, this look wouldn't be a good one for her." Um... hello? Pomeranians are double-coated dogs! What the actual... ??? I asked to speak to a manager and expressed my dismay and unhappiness at the job the groomer did. I asked him at the very beginning of our conversation if he could identify Lily's breed and he had no clue. I had to tell him that she was a Pom, and she sure didn't look like one post-grooming. I received no apology, only a half-hearted, "Well, I guess I could comp the cost of the grooming." Please, Mr. Manager, don't knock yourself out on our account. I've attached before and after photos. If you notice her sanitary area under her tail and down her back legs, she was SHAVED in spots. Unacceptable! A knowledgeable groomer would know that you cannot cut a double-coated dog that closely because you risk the fur not growing back properly, and it can be a life-long issue. To say we are not pleased is the understatement of the century! In the beginning Petco did such a good job. Now, I'm unwilling to risk another repeat of this latest fiasco.

All of them in Clarksville stated that they couldn't do it; due to needing the dog to be able to stand on it's own in some brace/contraption. This groomer never said it was an issue and never made it seem it would be issue with her being in a diaper. They take care of her, even with her anxiety issues, and she's in a fresh diaper when we pick her up. She looks like a brand new pup every single time with bows/bandannas in her hair.

Definitely worth every penny…read more I stopped by on Saturday not aware of the time they closed. The regular hours were closed, but I opened the door and asked if I could get a tour even though they had closed an hour ago. The guy said sure without any hesitation. The rooms are clean, indoor, and the play area is clean and inviting too. Everything here is beautiful. Smiles from the workers as well. Dogs are not allowed to play or sleep together unless they already live together. So there is no doggy socialization here. They protect themselves and the dogs from any harm. I'm okay with that. We get our own socialization with other dogs at the dog park. The smaller rooms with no TV cost $24 per night. The large luxury suites cost $26 per night and come with a TV (one per room) that plays animal planet all day long. This was Moo's (our pup) first time here so I got her the luxury suite and left her there for one night. She LOVES animal planet. Sometimes they will take your animal the night before WITHOUT a charge to make it easier on them if they don't have anyone to receive her the next morning. They wanted to do that for us, but we weren't ready to leave her and wanted to make sure she had her own toy and food since she's allergic to some foods. They made it possible for us to drop her off at our preferred time though. The next morning, we dropped her off and they took her collar off which surprised me since I thought they might need to keep track of her for any reason, but I guess it's their normal thing since the dogs don't play together, they have no problems with mix ups. I thought that was interesting. After I picked Moo up, she got a cute scarf on her neck, kissed the two ladies goodbye who helped bring her out to me, and was smiling the whole way home. She was very happy to see us again. Her first night away from home since we got her at the shelter. I don't know if she slept very well, since during the day it was extremely noisy, but I don't really expect it not to be with the dogs there. I wonder if they quiet down at night when the lights go off. I hope so. Moo was very very sleepy and tired the next two days. She recovered after that. I am only curious about whether or not she went to the bathroom there (in her room or outside during one of her three play times) because she doesn't go to the bathroom anywhere except in our backyard at home...not even at the park or anywhere else for that matter. I asked about it, but they didn't have specifics. She's fine though. I definitely recommend this place. GO SEE IT or LOOK AT THE WEBSITE. The rooms look exactly like the pictures. I forgot to take my own pictures from outside the building, but see my dog all smiley with her cute little scarf?
