He has always been a happy boy, but we picked him up he's like a totally different pup! He had his collar was on so tight we had to cut it off. There was no way to take it off but over his head but it was way to tight for that! SO HOW DID THEY GET IT ON!!?? We took him to the vet and he lost 5.2 lbs. He's traumatized! while my dogs seem happy when thru leave, the staff never answers the phone which means you cannot confirm booking a daycare or boarding. while they do have a website, it's not reliable. they also don't offer multi dog discounts or discounts for two pups using the same large kennel. don't recommend if you can't get ahold of them prior or if you have multiple dogs. positives: place is clean, dogs seem to have fun, they give you a report card of how your animals did. read more

We usually go to picture perfect grooming, however I scheduled an appt here for today 11/23 through their online booking because of their reviews. I have a 9 month old Pomeranian and she had gotten spayed 2 weeks ago and she also has seizures. I honestly don't think they read the animal notes. Booking the appointment was easy but I was confused to learn that they only have one groomer. I ended up needing her to be done a bit quicker due to personal reasons, however when I came back to pick her up she had loose hair still all over, like they didn't brush her fully after cutting her hair. Also, they nipped some lines of hair behind her ear??? Weird. The way they trimmed the hair around her butt area was also very unappealing. I only got a tidy, lord knows how she would of came out if I had gotten her a haircut. Customer service was mediocre also. I'll stick to picture perfect and just make sure to book my appointments in advanced. It came out to $42, I wish I would of just waited. Won't be back here. read more

My dog sustained various puncture wounds and scratches and no one has any idea how. The vet couldn't believe just how extensive the wounds were. They had to shave both sides of his body, part of his front legs, and his rear. He was feverish, swollen, and bruised. KPP reimbursed the vet bill and I'm expecting a full refund for the 3 1/2 days of boarding. I'm absolutely devastated. They got one start because of the reimbursement/refund happened with no drama but I will never utilize this business again. read more

I don't recommend this place for boarding. My parents boarded their senior Chihuahua (11) here over Fall break. When my mom picked ChiChi up, she was breathing weird. Overnight her breathing became labored and she started to have this awful coughing sound coming from her and was very lethargic. My mom got her an appointment to the vet, the next morning. Turns out ChiChi contracted Kennel Cough at Kathy's. This was extra scary since Chichi is an older girl. read more

We picked up our dog yesterday... He was there for 2 weeks. I gave them the dog, and they returned a skeleton to us! He lost a lot of weight! Also, he smelled very very bad. Unfortunately, I don't know where he slept and how often they cleaned his bed. I gave them canned food for about 12 days and big amount of dry food. I do not know what they fed my dog, but he started vomiting last night, and then he had terrible diarrhea! (This is despite the fact that for all the time he is with us- 6 years - he has NEVER had problems with stomach upset!). In a puddle of vomit and diarrhea (sorry for the details), I saw grains of rice. Why did they feed him rice??? Also, they never returned his food back. No way he ate all that food. We will look for another boarding. It is very dangerous for my dog to be in this place. Never again!!! read more

Took my mini schnauzer in to get fully groomed with a schnauzer cut. I grew his hair out on purpose and made sure his hair wasn't matted so that he could get the schnauzer look. He came out fully shaved with no skirt. They shaved him down completely and forgot to cut his hair near his face,nose and ears and not to mention they forgot to clip his nails. I paid over $60 for a complete horrible job for him to come home looking like that with a bad smell and kennels cough. I will never recommend or come back to this place. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! So this is the first time I've had to board my dog, he's pretty rowdy so I was worried about him being at a kennel. He got kicked out of doggie daycare at another place because he wouldn't stay in the baby gates but I thought "he's a dog not a baby, kind of crazy to expect him not to hop over that little thing". Anyway, so checked out Kathy's and they were very dog friendly - outdoor play yards, large indoor AC kennels. You get to choose whether your dog gets to play with other dogs or just be by himself. My dog loves to run around and act like a fool so I picked letting him play with other dogs. The online registration was super simple and when I went to drop him off everybody was super friendly. Fast forward, I was on my trip and called to see how he was doing, they said he was so fun and happy and running around and having a great time. And then they sent me this picture. He definitely was enjoying his time so I relaxed and enjoyed mine. When I picked him up he was completely happy, and we got home and he conked out - I could tell he was worn out from having a great time! I would definitely recommend Kathy's if you have a dog that likes to be a dog. I will be taking my guy back for daycare just to get him some fun time during the week and definitely the only place I will Board him. read more

Upon dropping my little buddy off I had a warm welcome from staff. They were younger, energetic and extremely attentive to my pup. He was initially very nervous but they gave him plenty of time before rushing him into anything he wasn't sure of. I must have called over a dozen times to check and see how my little one was doing and every time I did, they gave me a well detailed description of how he was acclimating while being respectful. Kathy even sent me a picture of his happy face and assured I could call whenever I needed to. I have had some pretty questionable experiences in the past with doggy day cares so it's nice to see someone show that they really care about your four legged companion and doesn't just keep them in a kennel all day. I'll start by saying highly, HIGHLY recommend Kathy's for boarding and daycare. Great service, great prices and tired puppies...what more could you want? I bring my husky Yeti here for day care nearly everyday during the week and we both love this place. Don't let the outside fool you, it may not be the prettiest building but they are currently remodeling and expanding. I work at Fort Campbell and the hours and location are super convenient. Once you get past your first visit it takes less than 3 minutes to drop your dog off and to pick up. The staff is great, they remember you and your dog and they are always friendly. They are great at handling my dog and he is always happy to see them. My favorite part is that when I pick him up, he is always exhausted from all the play time he gets. I have a very social, very energetic dog, so I feel so much better knowing he is getting exercise all day. This may not be the best situation if you have a dog who does not like to play with other dogs, but I know the staff works with dogs of all dispositions, so they can make accommodations to make your dog more comfortable. I've also used the grooming services and the boarding services here. Because he is a regular at day care I don't worry about him when I board him and they often have availability. For grooming I've found it super convenient because they will do the grooming during daycare so it doesn't take any additional time out of my busy schedule to take him to a separate appointment. Often when I have him groomed they waive the daycare fee for the day and only charge the grooming fee. You won't find a more affordable place anywhere. I don't know what Yeti and I would do without Kathy's! If the staff is reading this thank you so much! read more

I just moved to the area trying to find a good place for my dogs to be groomed and thought i'd give this place a try. If you're thinking of coming here, DONT. especially if you have a doodle. I was given a pallet of coats to choose from for my golden doodles haircut. I chose a normal length not too short not long at all. I picked my dog back up a few hours later to a completely shaved dog besides his head?!! HIS TAIL was shaved off. you do not shave a golden doodles tail. The girl who "groomed him" name is Vanessa btw. Here is a picture of before his haircut. he starting to get shaggy but not too bad. and the second picture is what they did to my poor baby. BEWARE. I've been bringing my dog here for over a year but after the horrible customer service I received today I will no longer be bringing her. I was given a birthday gift of a grooming credit to KPP and the appointment was made on that day for a week in advance. When the dog was dropped off they refused to take her because she didn't have an appointment, despite seeing the credit (including a tip) there. they argued with me back and forth instead of just accepting the dog. I literally had to go home to grab the appointment card, attached to the credit certificate, which shows that the appointment WAS SCHEDULED. as a repeat customer I obviously know not to bring a pet without an appointment, and also as a repeat customer, I should have been accommodated considering they already had my money! I asked for a refund, there are plenty of great groomers in Clarksville. I'm not begging anyone to take my money. read more

This time she even had kennel cough. My first vet bill was over $600 because she needed to be hydrated with IV's. This time not only did I pay for my cat and dog to be board, my vet was $260. I'm disappointed when I called Kathy's that they didn't take any responsibility. I will never take my pets there again :( read more

I used to bring my dog here for daycare, and I will say that the daycare option does seem to be okay, but do not board your dogs here if you care for their health and safety. Just spent 600 dollars at the vet for my dog to get rehydrated and was told that he hasn't eaten in the last three days. When I called Kathy's and asked what was going on, they said they didn't know and that my dog was fine during his stay. Well his electrolytes and liver enzymes were low, and he went from 52 pounds (weighed right before he left for boarding) to just under 48 pounds in three days. I've had issues with them in the past about lying about the services I paid for, but nothing ever this bad. I was never contacted about any of this, and had to call trying to find out what happened, only to get told that the owner would call me back in 3-7 days. This is ridiculous, it's one thing for busy employees to miss one or two things, but my dog was mistreated for several days and they didn't even have the decency to be upfront about it. I dropped my dog and a friend's dog off on a Saturday afternoon for one night of boarding. The PROs: first time client is free for one night of boarding, their inside office had A/C and was cute to look at The CONs: the lady didn't ask for any shot records for either of the dogs, I didn't fill out any sort of contract/paperwork, and when I asked to see the kennel the two dogs were going to stay in - there was some serious hesitation... Just didn't give me a good vibe. Also, I had to ask what their schedule was for potty breaks and meal time (they definitely weren't going to tell me). It sounds to me like the dogs just stay in their kennels and get let out maybe 2-4 times, which is NOT the same as playtime you know. The kennels were alright....I mean, it's dog boarding. Decent sizes and they were clean. If you go here, I would recommend that you bring a blanket or your dog's bed because if you don't - they will be sleeping on an old towel. OKAY, the worst part was picking the dogs up the next day. The employee made me fill out a contract (including SS#...um NO) with my information, vet information, and request immunization records. She kept saying that 'this should have been done when you dropped them off'... Sorry lady, but that is not my problem the staff don't know what is going on! My dog is alive and well. Who knows what went on while he was there (for 28 hours). I am going to stick to my original dog boarding lady (she was just busy this particular night). I'd rather my dog stay in the comfort of our home and someone can check in on him.. It's all preferences! But I won't be coming back here. read more

Love this place. We use it for our groomers, doggy day care, and boarding here in Clarksville. Dogs get a chance to play when their being boarded. It's not like other places here in town. And they are so good with the pups. My dog who is usually skiddish with new people, took right to them. Their prices are so reasonable and you get a discount when doing things together. Every time we have to go out of town, we always pick Kathy's pampered paws to board our dogs. It's such an incredibly friendly environment. They are super sweet to my two dogs & I know they love it there because when we pull up to their building, my dogs go crazy and head straight to the front door to get in. We also get our dogs groomed here and every single time, they do it exactly how I want them to look & they come home gorgeous and clean! This place has been great the last time I sent my two dogs there. My girl Lisa is very social and friendly and my boy Leo is great with people but he gets weird around strange dogs. They are very patient people here and know how to care for dogs. My dogs were very happy when we picked them up and they looked amazing. The only problem I had was I called for a picture of my dogs to see how they were doing and they said they would send me some but never got anything. I would give 0 stars if I could. Their customer service is beyond awful. I took my 7 month old Bernese mountain dog for daycare yesterday. They wouldn't let him play without his rabies vaccine dates even though I was showing her where it was. She said she would call the vet to verify then when she couldn't get ahold of the vet she didn't even have the curtesy to call me. My puppy sat in a kennel all day and I had no idea until I picked him up. My poor baby could have sat at home instead of listening to other dogs bark all day. When I picked him up he was full of energy and I couldn't do anything about it because it was already ready dark out. I am furious about the way they handled the situation. read more

I was extremely nervous about boarding our two dogs. They were both strays and are very weary of new situations and new people. I tried to board them on post, but we got called to get them because they didn't adjust well to the environment. So, when we tried Kathy's last October, I was prepared for the worst. To my delight, both dogs did well and were even bathed when I picked them up! They asked me if I wanted to add baths, and I said sure but didn't expect them to cooperate! Our larger dog even has thyroid issues and his medicine was no problem. I was beyond satisfied. We have since used Kathy's for weekends away, and I just reserved our spot for our upcoming vacation.
