NO Stars for these lazy millennials who somehow are now in charge of this grooming salon!!....don't bother bringing your dog here to get groomed, because if it barks they won't touch it!! I have a sweet Golden Retriever who likes to talk & he wouldn't hurt a fly! He has been getting groomed here since he was a puppy and now these lazy kids just decided that they won't groom him?? They wasted an hour of my time, my gas (I don't live in Carson City!), and ruined my weekend!!...if you didn't want to groom animals that bark, then say you only groom turtles!! Plus, I AM Never Shopping Here Again!! I buy all my food at Chewy.com for half the price! read more

The lady that approached us while we had our pitbull puppy walking on his leash was beyond the rudest I have met. First, we have properly vaccinated our animals so I know where I can and cannot place him. So when she demanded that we pick him up and carry him I was appalled by the fact that we were being told to carry our dog while nobody else was. We came to peace with this and were just trying to check out as this lady was just splirting facts about diseases that are only killed on the floor with bleach (which rises the question of are they not cleaning their floors properly?) Secondly, my dog is an emotional support dog, and in training to be a service dog. This woman had the nerve to then tell me what "rights" I have with him being an emotional support animal, as if I did not already know. Telling me how I would be fined taking him into places and that I can't just bring him everywhere. Will not be returning with my business to this location. read more

my favorite groomer, kara is gone and then I go in to ask a question about a product and the manager was so rude I left. I think they need new management! read more

A Petco groomer cancelled my appointment without informing me. Also, the same groomer rescheduled me for another day, again without informing me. I arrived on the original scheduled time and date, but there was no record of my original grooming time. The only proof that I had made an appointment at all was from the groomer who had called me the night before to remind me of the appointment. Originally, I made the appointment several days ahead. I was informed that my dog needed shot records updated.. I received a reminder the night before again reminding me to bring shot records. The groomers were completely indifferent to the fact that I was terribly inconvenienced by their error. I really have never received such bad service before. Ever. I wasted and hour of my day driving to and from this appointment. The service was terrible. read more

This place does NOT take care of their animals! My daughter bought a baby Leopard Gecko that was sick with mites, she runs a Reptile rescue and was going to try to nurse it back to health, the store was filthy and unsanitary for even a wild dog. We found out a couple of days later that the Gecko had mites, we went back to the store, my daughter took pictures of the other Geckos, and they all had mites, those mites got on our bearded dragons and we had to give them a treatment bath. BTW, the Gecko died as a result of having mites. The manager Alan was very rude to my daughter and said it was her fault and refused to take accountability for his store's carelessness and incompetence. This Petco is the one in Jacks Valley. My advice to all of you, go to Pet Smart, they take much better care of their animals, and their facilities are clean and sanitary. read more

Went in the other day with my boyfriend to get a couple of more fish for our fish tank. I asked one of the associates to send someone over "whenever they had a moment" because it seemed like they were. Little busy. whatever, I don't mind the wait at all. However whenever We had someone come over to help she asked someone who had just shown up to get a fish while my boyfriend had been waiting for a while. Although it was no fault of the other costumer just a mis understanding my boyfriend said that we had actually been the people waiting for service. the other person literally just got there. she was quick to cop and attitude and said "well I didn't see you." and turn her back to him. whenever she did get around to helping us grab some fish she handled the fish poorly and with an attitude. and aside from acting like we were inconveniencing her by having her do her job she plopped the baggie of fish in my boyfriends hands without closing it and walked away before he could ask her to rubber band the bag of fish. Completely unprofessional. Rude, and honestly a little unbelievable. There is a universal way that costumer service works. she could've handled the situation better. a simple "oh my bad! How could I help you?" what started as a simple misunderstanding turned into a bad experience. read more

Marissa is an amazing groomer and is so gentle with my 14 year old dog. She has an eye for doggie style. Devony is so sweet and cares for my pup like he was her own. He always comes from the salon as fresh and clean as ever! They are amazing groomers! read more

I'm not sure how Danielle is a manager, we left the store with my 8 year old in tears! We purchased a clownfish there and within a day witnessed our coral banded shrimp attack it to his death. Danielle said it must have been sick and that's why it happened. Well it didn't get sick in my newly cycled tank. When I asked if they'd replace the fish for that reason she stated they don't have a guarantee on saltwater fish and that's up to the manager, and that no she wouldn't. Mind you I've spent at least $300 on fish supplies within the last few weeks. Without the guarantee I figured I'd risk the $20 and let my son pick out a replacement. When we were at the register she said the fish was $40, even though I showed her on my receipt it was $20. She refused to give us the fish at that price and took it back. Even her employees were shocked at her behavior! I'll now drive 30 miles to get my fish from a knowledgeable and friendly aquatics store. read more

I took my doggie here for grooming and I am very happy with the outcome. My pup looks great and smells amazing. Thank you, Petco!

I took my dog in to be groomed and I was very disappointed. They did not buff her nails after trimming, so they were sharper than before I took her in. Also, it was suppose to include ear cleaning and a bath. They wouldn't tell me the shampoo they used, but she was very flaky after (she wasn't before). They said her ears were cleaned, but they were not. When I went back in they were extremely rude and handled my dog very rough. DO NOT go to this Petco EVER!!! read more

Went here about an hour before closing with our pitbull and surprisingly the staff loved him. Usually we get confronted or asked "does he bite." We were in the store for a while and bought some items and our cashier even applied some coupons to bring our prices down. Very good service :) read more

My kids and I love this place. Great variety and selections. Bought Hampsters there and have had no problems.

If I could give negative stars I would!! I setup repeat delivery for food for my pet while I was overseas. I even changed the dates to reflect a good time for my pet sitter. It was supposed to have arrived towards the beginning of the month. IT STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED! The pet sitter went and got different food because the closest PetCo is 45 minutes away. This has caused belly issues for my pet and a huge additional cost to me. I have called customer service twice now. The first person assured me that they would rectify this problem and expedite 2 day shipping. It is now day 5 from that first call and STILL NO FOOD! I am supposed to get a phone call from a supervisor sometime in the next 24-48 hours. Completely unacceptable all the way around!!!! They have lost me as a customer. read more
