I've used this place for regular grooming of my two small dogs for several years. I've been generally pleased with both, their customer service, and the grooming itself, until a recent incident. I came in for an appointment the other day 15 min late. The reason, which really doesn't matter, was that I had walked the dogs just prior to drop off and one had quit on me in the middle of our walk, as he is getting old, so dealing with that caused an unexpected delay. When I arrived, before I could even apologize for being tardy, the groomer girl looked at the clock on the wall and curtly announced I'd have to pay a "late fee". I said "are you serious...how much?" She said "yes...$20. Since it was the first and only time that I had ever been late to an appointment, of which there had been many, and since it was only 15 min, I expected some leniency. Instead, she had no mercy, and chose to quote policy, stating they had charged a late penalty for 10 years. The fact that I was not aware of this because I had never been late before, and felt that I deserved at least a warning for this first and only infraction, meant nothing to her. She was sticking to her policy and told me the total of what I'd owe her. I should have walked out right then, and would have, if not for the fact that the dogs still needed grooming, and so I left them. I thought maybe she's having a bad day and not thinking straight. Why would a person, in a business of any kind, want to trade several thousand dollars in future business for a one time $20 late penalty? As I've said, this was NOT a case of our being habitually late. It had never happened before, hence my lack of knowledge regarding any late fee policy. Also, it's not as though my two little (less than 20 lb) dogs had been a problem in the past. If they had, I was never told about it? I have been paying this place for 2 groomings about every other month for several years now, even though the price per dog has almost doubled in the last few years. In fact, when she quoted the total with the extra $20 late fee I noticed it was higher again! Upon pick up of my dogs, she stuck to the late fee policy and when I asked about the additional price increase she yelled out to a coworker "how long ago did we raise prices". She said 3 months ago, but my receipt for April, 2 months ago, was the lower price. When I again expressed that I felt this was not a good outcome and that I would likely go elsewhere next time, she referred me to a competitor. Obviously, they can charge whatever they want, and whatever late fee they want, and raise prices as much as they want. I understand business. I understand dog grooming business. This IS NOT about the quality of the dog grooming service they provide or about the prices they need to charge to stay in business. This IS ALL about the treatment of a paying customer. In this case, obviously, for what ever reason, this person (business), has decided they DO NOT VALUE MY BUSINESS so therefore MAYBE THEY DO NOT VALUE YOURS EITHER ????? JUST IN CASE, SINCE SHE WANTED TO GIVE REFERRALS, I WILL GIVE YOU SOME ALSO. THESE ARE SOME OTHER LOCAL DOG GROOMERS THAT MIGHT VALUE YOUR BUSINESS MORE THAN THIS ONE DOES. Hi, recently I took my young dog to Maria's k9 Spa. I have to say I was very pleased with Trisha's work. However, the second time I called for another appointment, Trisha answered the phone and made another appointment. I was happy. I had to reschedule and another groomer answered the phone and told me she was working on my Dog. Really? Trisha never told me this. I cancelled because of this. If groomers change the person whose cutting your dogs coat, I think they should let you know beforehand. Unless, of coarse it's an emergency. I was really happy finding this place. If I made an appointment for my haircut with a particular person and they gave me someone else, I would cancel. I messaged the owner on yelp late last night for a quote and got a very prompt response early the next morning with a very affordable quote. I was even able to get him in same day. I brought my doxie in at 3 and the two women that were there were super friendly. The place looked very nice and well maintained. They told me 1.5-2 hours until he'd be done. At about to two hours I didn't hear back so I called and they said 20 minutes. Which I didn't really mind I know how things go. After 20 minutes I drove that way and I got a friendly call making sure I was on my way. When I walk in it was so nice to see Teemo running around the back and not in a crate. I was also really pleased to hear that there were no dogs barking. All the dogs getting groomed were just hanging out and Teemo looked so happy. And handsome! They did a great job and it was very affordable. I will be back even though my dog doesn't really need it. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Amazing customer service and of course is a top notch grooming salon! They love our dogs as much as we do, and are not locked up in kennels! The puppies love their Spa time and come out looking like show dogs (we have shelties too, and their grooming can be a bit challenging for some groomers, but not here!).
