Cavalier Corral - Maverick was a happy little guy after he got groomed today. Even got a nice little Red Tie for being such a good boy

Of course, my request was accepted! Now when I pickup my little buddy he's always happy and doesn't seem like he was lonely like at most boarders. This is more like a doggie hotel! Additionally, about a month ago, my wife and I decided to get a Cavapoo, and we were extremely pleased with the process. We got a nice starter kit and a very happy and healthy puppy! From what I hear they've stepped up their business and now have a staff that has the utmost care for the puppies. Great facility, great owner, great staff, and even better puppies! 5/5

I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else while I'm back in town. I've taken 2 of my 3 dogs there and both times it was a treat. Business is very clean and welcoming and it's big with a wide open floor plan which makes it beautiful. One of the best groomers I've ever been to and that's saying a lot since they have been in California... Texas and Florida. If you want top of line VIP service at great affordable prices this is the place to take your dogs. They offer a wide range of services... keep up the excellent work!!!

AWITP is much more than just a boarding kennel. Dirk also offers day care, grooming, obedience…read moretraining, and a couple times per week, he and his staff will take the dogs for an actual walk in one of the actually metro parks. The facility was built with dogs in mind...before it was A Walk In The Park, the building was the home of the Toledo Area Humane Society. The building is more than large enough, and the yard is even bigger. The staff is awesome...just plain awesome. You can tell that every single person working here really loves dogs, and the dogs, at least my dog, seems to love all of them. We recently left our puppy here when we weren't able to take him with us on vacation. My wife, who still does Facebook (LOL), logged in daily to see videos and pix of the pack including our boy, so she and the kids (and me too, I guess) felt connected. When we got home and went to pick him up, he was happy to see all four of us, but he didn't want to leave...I guess dogs really are pack animals. We also utilize doggie daycare a couple time per week. As far as pet safety goes, and I might not have this exactly right, but I think the dogs are grouped by age and size. That is, the large breed puppies are kept together, and the small breed puppies are keep together. The large breed adults are kept together...etc. In other words, you don't have to worry about your chihuahua pup getting eaten by a Doberman. Great business, and great location. Five stars.

Dirk is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about dogs. The dogs are engaged physically, mentally and socially while in their care. They are never stuck in a kennel for the day. At night the dogs sleep in bedrooms together with a staff member present at all times. His staff is top notch - friendly, reliable, and well educated on dog handling. AWITP is the only place for my dog care needs - my pup loves her time on the "ranch". I highly recommend!

The BEST breeder EVER…read more Something I appreciate but never would have thought of myself is waiting 6 weeks to "pick" our puppy on "puppy picking day." It makes so much more sense to hold off on your decision until the pups develop their personalities instead of solely going off looks. Jennifer is super thorough and maintains constant communication throughout the entire adoption process. She was constantly sending us pictures and updates in our group chat of puppy parents. Before we even thought of the question, Jennifer already had given us the answer! Her constant communication was something that truly made the entire experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. That's is the way it's supposed to be - adopting a puppy should be more fun that it is stressful! I'm from California. Jennifer personally delivered my puppy to me. YES, across the country! She flew with her at no extra cost to me (other than flight costs). She left her home at 3am and got back home at midnight. She had 4 layovers and nearly 24 hours of continuous traveling. Now THAT kind of effort is unheard of. She has so much kindness to give and it truly shows through her breeding program. While there are so many amazing components to Doodles & Doxies program, the true dealbreaker is the training they do BEFORE your puppy comes home. My girl came home 100% crate trained and 95% potty trained. I was expecting long, sleepless nights with an unhappy puppy crying in her crate. Not only am I happy that I didn't have to deal with the headache that comes along with crate training, I am more happy than my dog was never miserable and in distress while in her crate. A puppy coming home 95% potty trained sounds like a fairy tale. I knew that they were beginning potty training before they arrived home, but I did not expect this a perfectly potty trained pup. Once again, Doodles & Doxies exceeded expectations! I'll only get puppies from Doodles and Doxies from now on. They are the best from coast to coast! I highly recommend them.

We work hard starting with genetically tested parents. We take great thought in putting together parents that compliment each other in genetics, temperments and looks. Next we feed all our dogs with the most holistic food we have found to make sure the foundation of their health is solid. We have an amazing relationship with our vet who oversees the mothers during heat. When the pups are born, we catalog their journey during their 8-9 weeks with us with pictures and videos to share with all their waiting families. We start these sweet pups with Early Neurological Training, desensitizing them to things that will bring fear later on. Helping them adapt to change. We teach them to relieve themselves in one area of their whelping space, keeping where they sleep clean. This helps with potty training later on. We start potty training at 6 weeks old, and crate training at 7 weeks old. We are doing our best to make the transition from our home to yours as stress free as possible! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you want to learn more about our program.

I am in the middle of my experience with Glass City K9. Maybe I should wait until the process is…read morefinished, but I've seen so much growth in both my pup AND myself so far that I feel compelled to comment right now. I did not choose a board and train because it was *kind of* out of my budget and I didn't think it was necessary; it would have been easier and I *could* have made it happen, but I chose not to. I chose the "silver plan." Essentially, the trainers train us, the owners, to train our own dogs. We are paying for them to pass on their expertise. Keep in mind that if, as an owner, one does not FOLLOW THROUGH with the plan as given by the trainers, the results will not be optimal. I am, by profession, a teacher. So when I am told to specifically follow a lesson plan with my dog every week, I follow the plan. Religiously. I have a husky. I'm told they don't like to listen. When I adopted her (rescue), she was pulling me so hard on the leash that I was falling over onto the pavement. She cause me to wreck a perfectly good pair of Silver jeans, and she tore my belly button piercing (it never healed... it hurt a LOT... I finally gave up and took it out). I was not a happy dog mom. I tried positive "treat training" and she learned every command quickly but would only comply if offered a treat. Well, by week three with GCK9, my girl was stopping at street intersections without being prompted. Why? Because I trained her to do so because I didn't want her to get smoked by a car. This wasn't even part of GCK9's lesson plans; I kinda just added it in because it naturally followed with what I was being told to train her to do. I LISTENED TO WHAT THE TRAINER SAID AND I DID EXACTLY THAT, then when it all worked and my girl was so proficient she was getting bored, I did some add ons. Folks, know this: YOU WILL GET OUT OF THIS PROGRAM NOT WHAT YOU PAID INTO IT, BUT WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT. As for the e-collar... if you're that worried about it, Google "shock collar vs e-collar" and start there. I can put my girl's e-collar in my hand at the level at which I typically train her (which is super low) and I can tell you this: My physical therapist has turned up the tens machine on me WAY higher than I've probably ever turned up the e-collar on my pup, and I wasn't wearing a double coat to buffer it... and I've never been hurt by a tens machine. At the current stage, I only need to actually use her e-collar about 50% of the time. She just knows what she is supposed to do, and she does it. At the end of the day, folks, so far I have to say that I believe that I have gotten more value out of this training than my pup has. Here is why: In a world where I have had to stop paying attention to the news because I feel as if everything has spun into such utter chaos that it has caused me to up my meds and increase the number of mental health therapy sessions I have every month (depression and generalized anxiety disorder), training my beautiful dog has given me a sense of purpose and made me feel as if there is something among the chaos that I can actually control. I now wish that I'd have trained a dog before I'd had human children, because it would have made me a more patient, loving, and firm disciplinarian. My 9-year-old son is benefitting because he is following my lead and also taking responsibility for our dog's training, which is teaching HIM to be a better human being. If you do it right, your dog won't be the only one to change in a positive way; YOU will as well. I promise you that if you approach Glass City K9 with the right intention, attitude, and work ethic, you will have zero regrets.
