I love the Dog wash! Affordable and they have everything you need!

I brought my puppy here for basic puppy classes. My pup loved the trainer and I enjoyed the classes. The manager, Amanda, gave me a coupon book for my puppy and I. We saved a lot of money and always shop at this Petco. Try the online pick up option or the Meet the trainer class!

Looks like he got professionally groomed after getting a bath and a comb through.

Awesome store! I love that they have two Mars combs in their bath area; if you're a Cairn Terrier owner like me, that's a MAJOR plus. Dexter's dead hair is all gone and so much more lighter!!!! They are also extremely friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. Also check in on you as you bath your pup.

    Clearance!

So happy I stumbled upon this place! My large dog was in need of a new collar. She has a habit of chewing it off or the other dogs will help chew it off. And every time to get a new one I've been going to petsmart and their collars are fairly pricey about 12-19 dollars for the nice ones. I happen to come across the clearance and found a harness originally 27.99 for only 5.98! And a collar for $9!! Love the variety of selections and they give out free dog food samples! It's a cute little store with everything you need inside of it. They even have cute doggy treats for your pets. The staff here was also very excellent.

The store hours here are awful (10-6). I don't know who on a weekday is able to get to a store in these hours inside the perimeter

I, myself, a novice, not a trainer, had been using a prong collar. I was jarred when she used the prong to correct my 10 month old puppy, and said he was in shock because she kept snapping the leash. That was a bit too much for me. However, when I asked the trainer what method they used, and I was told the LIMA method. I was confused as to why corrections with tools were being used. After reaching out to a few trainers, this is what I have found about the LIMA METHOD; There are technically 2 views on what this term means. The original definition has a hierarchy of things that must be done before going to usage of tools of discomfort such as prong collars and the like. The newer more common conversation has left the hierarchy behind and does not allow for use of such tools at all. So I was definitely not understanding why the trainer seem led to be using the prong as a crutch to train. I was only using it for walking, and eventually would have liked to not use a prong collar at all. The trainer was definitely professional, but using tools to walk, place, sit, basically give any command was not something I was interested in. At one point when she kept snapping the leash on my youngest puppy, teaching him place I expressed that I had taught my other puppy how to be in place without doing that. My hope was that they would see if I can do it without snapping, a leash and a prong collar on the dog that they can do it too but the same behavior kept happening. I also let the trainer know that my other pup would bite if you tried to take food away that he found on the street, but we were not using that scenario at all when training. Since I am not a trainer, I can only go by what other trainers have told me. They have told me that unless I have aggressive dogs that are biting or trying to hurt others that prong collars are really an antiquated tool as is the e collar. Definitely no hard feelings. Just not the training method for me.

***LONG REVIEW BUT WORTH THE READ***…read more This is my sweet, rowdy, rambunctious, and very demanding pup Rhodi! As a first time puppy owner, I just wanted to keep her happy. I let her get away with a lot! I quickly realized that I was not in charge of her but she was in charge of me. What I thought was being sweet was in Rhodi's mind "I can do whatever I want because I won't be punished for it." She would chew any object she could find, bark at me constantly when I wasn't doing what she wanted, would not listen to me when I would call her name, jumped on me and other people, tried to escape out the front door, and peed in the house. I watched videos upon videos but nothing helped! I was doing research on dog trainers and the first thing I thought was "this is so overpriced!" As a young college student with a rowdy dog, I was determined to find the best price with the most qualified trainer and I did! Bark Busters and specifically Cody are the best thing I could have done for both me and Rhodi. I was really nervous about having someone in my home "telling" me how to train my dog, but Cody TAUGHT me. If there was something I was struggling with, like leash training, he showed me an alternative way for me to get her to listen to me. The thought in my mind was "wow, he's not making me do it this way because it's the right way, but he found me a way that was Rhodi's right way I could do confidently." Cody was validating my feelings about not wanting to hurt Rhodi's feelings and continued to talk to me about ways that would not harm my dog or hurt her feelings. Simply being able to "talk" to Rhodi in a way she could understand that I was in charge and that she would still be safe and okay was the goal. In a matter of 2 hours Rhodi was trained! Cody did his job and now it's my turn to do mine with her by following through with the keys to success only Cody could have given to me.

I was nervous about having to train two dogs with different needs, and at different life stages. Cody was amazing. He took the time to understand the different need for both dogs and made improvements that day. Chunk was awful on the leash and would chase anything that moved. Day 2 and I can't believe the difference in control on the walks. Charlie is a puppy and well needs obedience with several indoor behaviors. Happy to say today was successful in going to his bed. The investment in Bark Busters is well worth it for any dog owner. If you're in the Atlanta area Cody is the trainer I recommend. Beyond being great with the dogs he makes you as the owner feel comfortable. He gives you the right techniques and confidence that change and obedience is possible. Cody's open and makes it clear that he is available from here on out if there is anything that I need. Was very nervous about having someone in my home and training my dogs. This was the best decision I could make for me and the boys!

And realized I owe this fantastic person a review. A very long story short, in 2015 I found myself in temporary housing after a move back to Atlanta to start a new job. It was a very difficult situation with two rescue dogs that suffered from anxiety/separation issues. The day prior my daytime pet arrangements had fallen through. I also had work travel imminent. I was in a panic and massively stressed. The same day I called Karen, she showed up to meet me and the two pups. They took to her immediately, even my ultra scared/shy guy who shivered and shook around people. She confidentially handled them, kindly calmed my anxiety over the situation and had it under control. She could double as a therapist!!! The next day while I was at work all went totally fine with their walk. I even received text photos with details of how it went. The pups were happy, I was relieved of stress and life suddenly became simpler. For simplicity sake I've glossed over a very trying and rough time in life. But for Karen and her team it would not have turned out so well. With a world of gratitude and thanks, I HIGHLY recommend.

I had a very disappointing experience at Animal House and will not be returning…read more When I first started bringing my two small dogs, my bill was typically under $100 for both of them, which included a bath and haircut. Over time, the prices kept increasing without any clear explanation. At one point they began adding a $15 "dematting" fee, even when my dogs were regularly groomed. Recently the cost climbed to $130-$140, so I started asking for a breakdown of the charges. Unfortunately, the staff seemed irritated whenever I asked basic questions about pricing. There is no posted price list and no transparency about how they calculate the final bill. During my most recent visit, I had already combed my dogs before arriving. The employee at the front desk used a small comb on my dog's legs in a way that would naturally create tangles and then claimed there would be a dematting charge. I told him if they planned to charge that fee, I would rather take my dogs somewhere else. He took the dogs to the back and returned saying there would be no dematting charge, but added that if the dogs cried or had to be corrected during grooming there could be additional fees. I had never been told about that policy before. When I came back to pick them up, I was told the total was $75 per dog. When I asked for a breakdown of what the $75 included, the employee became extremely hostile and began yelling at the top of his lungs at me simply for asking about the charges. Even after asking multiple times, he could not provide any clear explanation of the pricing. Another concern I've had over time is that on more than one occasion my dogs came home with small cuts or what appeared to be bruising. I did not notice these issues until after we left. I cannot say exactly how it happened, but it raises concerns about whether the dogs are being properly supervised or handled during grooming. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to ask for a breakdown of services being charged. Instead, I was met with hostility and extremely unprofessional behavior. Because of the lack of transparency in pricing, the concerns about how my dogs were handled, and the way I was treated when asking simple questions, I will not be returning and would caution others to be aware before bringing their pets here.

After picking her up last week after a standard groom, I noticed she was acting odd and showing discomfort. As the hours progressed, excessive gagging and coughing occurred and she was noticeably more uncomfortable. I took her to the emergency vet over the weekend and explained the symptoms plus groomer situation. Upon assessment, they identified a significant and large bruise across her chest/arm plus what they indicated was likely trauma to her trachea. Bloodwork confirmed muscle trauma. Their indication was the same as my instincts - something bad happened at the groomer. As we evaluated it, it was hard to understand how her injuries would align with an accident or an unknown incident. The groomer did not share that anything went awry during the visit and acted like all was okay at pickup. I will not be taking her back.
