Very friendly and cost efficient! !!! Will come again!!! Found them on Google and was hoping they could make my puppy cake on short notice & they did! I'm in love!

Many thanks to Scout at Taj- Ma-Hound for creating a beautiful cake for our amazing Boston Terrier, Ndugu's 18th Birthday!! Ndugu ecstatically dug in and after he had his fill there was plenty left to share with his two sisters. If you need a Yummy pet cake that's sure to impress - check out Taj-Ma-Hound in Decatur !

Today was my first experience with Taj-Mahound, at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market. Luke and I made our first trek to the Market this pleasant Saturday and one of my favorite booths was this cool outpost. I picked up a few treats for the baby (see pics) and he loved the first one I gave him - the cheddar and bacon bone biscuit. We'll see what he thinks of the peanut butter treat tomorrow! Good prices- most treats in the $1-2/ea range. Nice lady working the stand. Will definitely look for them again at the Market or even trek to their store for future supplies and goodies!!

My experience was brief but fantastic! The staff was friendly, professional and really loved all fur babies. This is my first time visiting the shop and I was super excited to purchase my pooch a doggie birthday cake. Needless to say the staff did an amazing job and also introduced me to some other tasty treats for her. The shop is located in a really cool neighborhood nestled behind a coffee shop. They offered a variety of treats and accessories. I shall return. Thank you so much for your kind service and making my pooch birthday a blast.

This place is amazing!!! I threw my dog a birthday party and last minute decided not to make the cake myself and needed to find one already made. I came here to buy one of the smaller ones but asked if they possibly had a bigger one available and they did! She iced it up for me in about 30 minutes and I was on my way! They were so accommodating, friendly, and helpful! All the dogs at the party loved the cake! I will definitely be coming back for more treats and goodies and some of those cute scarves I saw in the store! I definitely recommend this place for any dog treats!

This is the second time I've come for my dog's birthday treat because they are amazing! They have such a great selection of treats, not just for your dog's birthday, but for any time. They also have a cute boutique section with toys and accessories for your dog. I've never done a large custom birthday cake for my dog because she's small, but they do those as well, and today they even showed me one to see if I was interested in something that size. They are always so helpful, and it's perfectly ok to bring your furry friend in with you! Great business all around!

Got my dog a cake for his 11th birthday. He loved it and it was $17. Win win deal. My mom picked it up and said it was a really cute shop. They also have free ice cream for the dogs and free wine for the humans with a $5 purchase on Thursday's. So ill definitely be back.

Sebastian says "put your paws up" for his wonderfully made birthday cake!

What a gem in East Lake. They made a birthday cake for my little man and I couldn't be anymore satisfied. I will be visiting them many many times!

After getting my morning cafe au lait at Karvana, my beau and I read a little sign for $1 doggie treats on sale... "Where do we go?" we incredulously questioned each other. We sauntered our rumps across to the Universal Joint, and found no signs of treats. We about faced, and right before we gave up, we saw an arrow. "Eureka, darling! Alas, there is an ARROW!" We followed the arrow... (think Sesame Street... Follow, the Arrow, so you'll know where to go!) We finally see bright lime green walls with paw prints scattered on them like leopard prints! We've arrived at the Taj Mahound, and were the only customers there! It's like fun, prissy, princess meets dog. Girls just wanna have fun, and make money meets dog. It just reminded me of an awesome boutique in a quaint shopping village ... meets dog! It was excellent. Well decorated, great selection, and the treats were nothing short of fantastic. On Wednesdays (which is when I went) starting at 5pm, there is Free Doggie Ice Cream, coupled with a casual happy hour for the owners. Free Ice Cream with Free Drinks? What more can you ask for? The shopkeeper (maybe owner) wasn't chatty with us because she was busy talking to a girlfriend of hers, but the place pretty much sold itself. I'm a sucker for places that remind me of Greenwich Village in NY, and this one is it. NYC Dog Chic meets Magnolia Bakery... YES! That is it! Constructive Critique: Too bad I didn't get any attention from the lady (even though we were the only clients around), maybe I would've gotten exactly what I needed to give a 5 star rating, and be drawn back even sooner to mingle over ice cream and beer. Either way, I'll be back!

Freakin' awesome dog boutique!Treats are delicious I would know because i've actually eaten the brownie bites and muffins. They are all human grade ingredients and super healthy. No sugar added to any of the treats. Its like whole foods for you and your pet. The service is great, the dogs love the treats, and they people that work here are super nice and friendly to all furry friends! The ice cream social on Thursday nights is fun and you get to hangout with all kinds of diff't breeds and people :)

I'm a fan indeed! This cute little dog bakery sits a short distance from our favorite dog park (Oakhurst) so it makes for a perfect pit stop on the way home. The gourmet treats are incredibly cute and the flavors change weekly, I think. Prices are good and fluctuate depend on the amount of detailed design that goes into a treat. I got a little pink pig shaped treat for $1 and to help wash it down a tall boy of PBR for $4. (note the picture) They have ice cream socials each Thursday night for your little friend and even provide space for your little one and his/her friends to celebrate it's barkday. Yes, barkday is K9 for birthday.... get with it people... For your feline friends they have a small section of cat treats. Everything seems to be natural ingredients and they even get more involved and provide some treats that are gluten free. SO.... whether it's a party, some doggy ice cream or a pit stop in for a few treats or a cake, Taj-Mahound is there for whatever your pet needs.

Soooooo cute! It was my Saint's 1st Bday and he loved his chocolate cake. The cake lasts about 7 days and we fed him small slices until it was gone. The ingredients were fresh and not foreign. I love the shop it's super cute and the ppl behind the desk were very helpful. I plan on going back for his next Bday. Only thing..... the red icing is kinda pink but it's no biggie. I was too excited for him to care!

We bought the Yappy Barkday Cake with yogurt frosting for our pup. He is usually a picky eater but DEVOURED this cake. It really helped him have a great Barkday. Highly recommend for any pup! Easy ordering online and pickup.

We saw the sign for free ice cream on Thursdays at the Oakhurst dog park, so we ventured over after the puppies were worn out.

My low maintenance (except for the grooming part) fur baby needed some vaccinations, and I wanted to check out this pet store. A win-win situation! Pet Supermarket is in the extremely busy Toco Hills Shopping Center, which has a huge and free parking lot for all the neighboring businesses. The veterinarians occupied a little area in the middle of the store, and there was no line because I got there a couple of hours after they started seeing patients. My Suki was such a great patient, didn't whine or bite, but then she doesn't do those anyway. It took less than 15 minutes for everything they needed to do, and the prices were reasonable. Walked around the store. Prices were kind of higher than the larger and more popular stores. The store was well organized and clean. It was funny to watch Suki look through everything, especially in the dog toys area. She is a small dog and weighs only 11 lbs, and she was so interested in the large toys. Some of those toys were almost half her weight. This store sells live animals, and today I saw chameleons, lizards, rabbits, birds and "skinny" guinea pigs. It's not that they were actually skinny, like thin, but barely had any fur, looking as if a kid had taken electric shears and shaved most of their fur off of their bodies. They were very energetic, though. All of the animals that I saw, including the fish, were healthy. This store, even though it's smaller in size than the mega pet stores, looks like it stocks most of the necessities for your pets.

I walked in, asked him about an item, and he went the extra mile to walk me to the item and gave his insight. I wasn't expecting such great assistance, so thank you, Mark!! I saw how he behaved with the other customers as well, and he is really kind-hearted. Great staff member! Store: Very bright store, great price labels, and easy layout to walk through. Such a satisfying shopping experience based on the organization of the store. Would I recommend? Yes. Will I be back? Maybe. The prices were a bit high, but I like the variety, so maybe.

sometimes 5-star reviews are goodbyes. this is exactly that type of Yelp entry…read more Whole Dog Market was recently acquired by another company, and they are taking on the name of "Pet Wants." I'm sure it will be a lovely experience as much of the staff will be staying on. I found out about the acquisition on a recent trip to pick up the kibble I've been purchasing there for the better part of 3 years. the folks notified me that they will no longer be keeping Fromm products in stock (available via special order) and that I should transition to Pet Wants kibble. based solely on that interaction, I don't think we are fully grasping what it means to switch the kibble a dog has gotten used to--or the inherent stress and effort it takes to gradually shift the dog's (or cat's) food. I wasn't happy about that. I love the staff here, and our dog got his name from an inspirational visit back in 2022. but I'm just not getting the point of selling to Pet Wants, nor am I "with" the concept of force-switching (lack of a better term) to in-house kibble. I'll probably go back, but my primary visits will be to Highland Pet Supply, which keeps all Fromm products in stock. thanks for the memories!

There is plenty of parking with the private lot. Along with many other stores in the shopping center. The store is open and bright. It is easy to find items in The Whole Dog. The items are organized well. Also the space is not cramped so you have plenty of area to move around. I loved all of the grain free food options! It can be hard to find different types of food. Especially with good ingredients when you read the back of the bag. I did not have that issue at The Whole Dog Market. They also had dog foods at a variety of price points. They had a large refrigerated and frozen section. Also an area with probiotics, calming chews, and much more for your pup. And of course large treat wall! The customer service was phenomenal! We were greeted upon arrival. The associate asked if we needed any help we told her we were browsing. She said to ask if we needed any help. We ended up having a few questions. And every single question we had she answered completely. She obviously knew the products in the store well. She also gave us suggestions or substitutes for products if they did not have them. Basically if you are in Atlanta and you have a dog the Whole Dog Market is a place you should visit!
