Gretchen and Ben were absolutely amazing to work with! We had a great experience working with them on our wedding last month. In our initial consultation with Gretchen, I was immediately impressed with her efficiency and ease with asking exactly the right questions to get a feel for the aesthetic we were going for. I'm a very indecisive person, but she quickly helped to pinpoint a style and a color scheme. After the initial meeting, she and Ben were easy to work with and very communicative (but not at all high maintenance). They stayed within our budget to a tee. We were blown away by the end result -- everything was gorgeous and beautifully finished. Everything down to the smallest details (the flower girl's headpiece, the details on our ceremony chuppah) were so thoughtfully crafted. We also rented vases and jars from them for a very reasonable cost, which saved us from having to rent them elsewhere or purchase them unnecessarily. Gretchen is very detail oriented, which is definitely a quality you want in a florist! All in all, we highly recommend Petals, Ink. If we could do it again, I'd hire Gretchen again! read more

I am so pleased with our choice to work with Petals, Ink for our wedding last September in Austin, TX. I loved Gretchen's style from photos I'd seen online, and after we met to discuss my needs and vision at her lovely studio, I knew it would be a great fit. I got my bouquets and loose stem flowers for vases that my friends arranged on the wedding day. She was very flexible and accommodating when I made several changes to the flower selection, and she provided instructions for my friends who picked up the flowers, putting them at ease. If you are wondering whether or not you should use Petals, Ink for your event floral, I would say stop thinking about it and just sign them up. We had a large wedding west of Austin last weekend and Petals Ink could not have delivered a more beautiful set of arrangements and bouquets. The individual flowers (peonies, etc) were beautiful on their own, and the combination of floral, succulents, and greenery color and texture, with lovely accessories on the tables, was more beautiful than I had even imagined. Gretchen did a beautiful job on our wedding flowers. I was sort of ambivalent about flowers until our bouquets arrived--they were huge, dramatic, and colorful--they took my breath away! I also ordered adorable tiny succulent boutonnieres from her, and a flower crown that looked perfect in photos. She captured the whimsical boho vibe that I wanted to achieve and nailed my color palette. Even though flowers were something I at first felt obligated to get, in the end they were among the most memorable and beautiful parts of my wedding, and I felt like I got my money's worth. Gretchen of Petals Ink has all the qualities of a talented florist. I had researched other florists prior to meeting with Gretchen, and I found that I could find quality designs OR reasonable pricing, but never the two combined. That is until I heard of Petals Ink! Gretchen is an attentive listener, and is knowledgeable about subtle details that could save you quite a bit on floral costs without compromising a beautiful esthetic. She is also such a creative spirit! For our wedding, I was unable to use a traditional Chuppah due to the space constraints of our ceremony site. Gretchen emailed and met with me numerous times to come up with a plan that would work in our venue. As I walked out on our wedding day, I could not believe how gorgeous the canopy looked decorated with hanging flower poms and gorgeous ribbon.
