Great staff. They are consistently available, helpful and pleasant. If my packages are heavy they carry them to the car for me. Parking allows for an easy in and out. The store is organized and usually well stocked. They sometimes offer a dog treat at the register which makes it feel like a mom and pop operation. I have been shopping there for 8 years. read more

This has been my go-to spot for all things doggie since they opened. The store is always clean and the staff has always been helpful. They just got a new store manager, Neil, who is simply AMAZING! I called the store on my mothers behalf due to her purchasing an item she needed to return and replace and she did not have her receipt. Neil gave me superior customer service over the phone. Good customer service is so rare nowadays but if he took the time he did over the phone with me, I can only imagine he and his staff will do the same for all of those still shopping in the store. Since good customer service is so rare, I always try to go out of my way to give kudos to those who deserve it....Neil definitely deserves it! Online orders for curbside pickup are horrible. The web page will say there's stock, the site will let you order, and then you get a call saying they actually have no stock. Appx. 2 years ago, the store's very responsive and responsible management staff changed w/ 1 transfer w/in like store locations and the other to an altogether different venue.It is less clear now who is The Manager and when. Over all the store is stocked with a wide assortment of dog food toys and accessories. The girls at the cash register were very friendly and helpful. Sadly when we were there the floor personnel was unfriendly and walked right by us and didn't ask if we needed any help finding what we were looking for. Certain items are pricier than Petco but I like this store so much better than the massive pet supply chains. It's Connecticut-based (as far as I know) and the selection of food and care items for cats, dogs and other critters is pretty expansive. Since I'm pet-mom to an obese, toothless asthmatic fur baby (yes, I know how to pick 'em), I had to stop in to pick up some pill pockets (basically hollow treats to administer medication) for my cat, among litter and other necessities. The staff were so helpful and swiped the store card to save me an extra few bucks, despite me not having a PS Plus card. Nice little touch. Also...the store is impressively CLEAN, which is a huge bonus for any place that has anything to do with animals. read more

This place should be shut down. There were literally dozens upon dozens of dead fish just left in every one of the tanks decomposing while their corpses were being canabalized by the unfortunate fish remaining that were probably starting to death. The conditions for the rodents was no better as they were covered in their own feces and some seemed to be on the brink of death. The surrounding area outside in the isle was filthy and had trash all over the ground. The staff didn't know anything, didn't care about the well being of the animals and ill just leave it at that. I don't know who was in charge; seemed like nobody but they should feel ashamed of themselves. Please don't support this place by shopping their. Sorry to be morbid. read more

I'm not sure who loves Pet Supplies Plus more, the dogs or myself! I've been to the locations on Silas Deane, Berlin Tpke, and Bishop's Corner. They have all been consistently clean and well stocked, with friendly and helpful staff. So much retail and variety! We can't leave without buying Doggie Wishbones by Merrick because they are a favorite among the dogs. The staff will go as far as to order an item not in stock or recommend where you might find said item. Follow them on Instagram for bonus coupon offers.
