I brought my 20-pound dog in for a mini groom and was surprised to be charged $85, when I have previously paid around $65. I also find it frustrating that grooming prices are not clearly listed, because I would like to know what I should expect to pay before the service is performed. As part of the mini groom, I specifically asked for his face to be cleaned up and showed a photo as an example of what I wanted. I was not asking for a full haircut. I was told that with a mini groom they only do a little bit to the face and don't really groom it. That was confusing because his face has been cleaned up during previous visits, and the description of the mini groom states that a face trim is included. When I picked him up, very little appeared to have been trimmed from his face. I was also disappointed with the customer service. I had my 7-year-old with me and was struggling to get my toddler's stroller in and out of the store. The employee at the front counter could see that I was having difficulty but did not offer to help. I understand that prices can change and that a mini groom is not the same as a full haircut. My concerns are the lack of clear pricing, the inconsistency between the service description and what I was told, and the way the overall interaction was handled. After being a longtime customer, I left this visit feeling very disappointed. Also, they blocked me on Instagram for asking why their prices aren't listed stating my issue. They just lost a valuable customer as far as I'm concerned. This is my Shih Tzu immediately after grooming. His face was barely trimmed, and you can still clearly see the longer hair around his eyes, muzzle, and ears.

I went in to see what kind of tarantulas they had available. I was told that all the animals they have are listed on the website as most of them are not on site. The owner was very kind to us, helping us to look at the options online. She also brought out a few of the juvenile tarantulas she had in store for us to look at. She also showed us some death beetles and Cuban fake chameleons. There were some bearded dragons on display as well. You can tell that the owner cares very deeply for the animals that she plays guardian to. I ended up coming back later that same day to get the Grammostola Rosea tarantula because I could not stop thinking about her :) I'm already in love with this little one! This is a great shop for serious reptile & arachnid keepers. it is small but well stocked with feeders & husbandry supplies. If you are looking to browse for entertainment it's not set up for this. I would recommend looking at the website and calling ahead to request to see any animals you are interested in buying. The way they are kept is for the benefit of the animals care and to reduce stress. It may seem unconventional to some but I appreciate the way this place is set up with the best of intentions. Highly recommended!
