After the original owners of Puppy Love chose to retire and sell their business, everything…read morechanged, and none of it for the better. A horrific experience with the new ownership that required a visit to my veterinarian after a week-long stay traumatized my little lady, and I chose to never use them again. That is until the (2nd) owner chose to sell the business to Graham and Kathleen - the newest owners of Puppy Love Playcare. Similar to the original owners, Kathleen and Graham also live on site. After learning of the new change in ownership, I chose to give them a call and spoke with Kathleen for quite some time. Kathleen was forthcoming and answered all of my questions. I then decided to give Puppy Love another try and am so thankful that I took the chance! My little old lady was terrified when we first pulled up and she realized where she would be staying. I'm sure she was remembering the trauma she had experienced with the previous owner. But after picking her up from that week-long stay, I couldn't have been happier. It took Kathleen and Graham a few days to get her to let down her guard and relax, but she finally did so. And she showed no signs of stress when it was time for her to come home. After such a positive experience, I chose to use Puppy Love again for a two night stay, with the same results. This time my little lady acclimated even faster and enjoyed herself even more. If you had previously used Puppy Love prior to Kathleen and Graham's becoming the new owners and are afraid to give it another try, either because of a bad experience or reading some of the horrible reviews posted during that period of time, I would suggest putting those fears aside and giving the new owners a try. Going forward this will be the only daycare or long-term boarding facility I will use for my little old lady.

They then said to me and the co-owner we're not permitted to have him returned to us. They also lied and said the co-owner went into Lollypop yelling and cussing. This is a lie because Manuel has never been to Lollypop Farm. This just proves what I've been saying to Manuel for years; there are no decent White people in Rochester This means if you're in a bad marriage or whatever and your violent ex drops of your beloved pet as revenge they're not giving it back cos they sure didn't care to bother letting me know or returning our pet to us when he was illegally brought in May they all suffer from stage 4 cancer and may this facility be shut down, and trust me read all the 1 star reviews. Also, I assist police departments on solving cold case homicides. I said to a homicide detective in another region of NY I'll never never assist on cold cases in Rochester because Fairport, NY police work for Lollypop Farm and well, yeah this and other 1 star reviews explains all you need to know

You can even hike a trail nearby and there is a playground next door.

I emphasized I was there mainly for the nail trim and told them in advance he does not like his feet touched but the dozens of groomers we've been to throughout the country (we've lived in 6 states in the past 5 years) have been able to trim his nails just fine. I even brought his muzzle for them to use. First, the groomer called me at 9am and asked if I could bring my dog in at 10:30am instead of my appointment time of 11:30am. I said sure. I dropped him off at 10:30am with the above instructions and they said to come back at 12pm. At 11:15am the groomer texted me saying she was almost done and asked if I could pick my dog up asap because I told her he's not good with other dogs and they don't seem to have the ability to separate dogs after grooming. So I dropped what I was doing and rushed back over. When I arrived, the groomer and owner told me they couldn't do his nails. Even with the muzzle they said he was dangerous and they couldn't do his nails. I was not happy but said ok, how much for just the bath then? They said the price would be $50. I said what?? I was quoted $40-45 for a bath and nail trim. The groomer rudely said, "We charge more for bad dogs. You have a bad dog." I said, I'm not paying more than you quoted me for services I didn't even receive. The groomer and owner started loudly telling me I needed to pay $50 because I have a very bad dog. Absolutely disgusting behavior on their part. I didn't even know where my dog was until I paid $53 for services not rendered. I would rate this groomer zero stars if I could. I have never experienced such nasty behavior from a shop owner. They don't love dogs, they don't know how to handle dogs, and they don't know how to be business owners. They could've avoided this terrible experience and review if they A) Didn't repeatedly call my dog a bad dog and B) Didn't charge me for services not rendered plus more than they quoted to begin with. I will be challenging this charge with my credit card company.

Now when I bring them to the groomer they aren't shaking and crying. They actually run right in which is awesome. No matter how busy she has been she has figured out a way to work us in. I enjoyed seeing the dog decor and how clean the place was. I kept sniffing around for something that may have fallen on the floor but no such luck; the shop is that clean. I could tell Ali was very interested in what my owners wanted because she kept running her hands over my coat to indicate what she would do. When my owners returned to pick me up I could tell my owners were thrilled. They were smiling from ear to ear, hugging Ali and heaping compliments on me. I also saw Ali give my owners a card which probably means I will be back for another appointment. I am glad because Ali made me look fabulous. I've walked by TPP numerous of time and then I found her work on FB. I stalked all her cute curry clients and I loved the way their haircuts came out. My sister contacted Ali through FB and scheduled an appointment to come in. She had an opening the same week. There is a small parking lot next to the building. Ali was so welcoming upon entering. She was so friendly! I dropped Bubbles off and she said to come back in an hour. I came back in an hour and Bubbles was so cute. Normally Petco and Petsmart keeps Bubbles for hours! The price was very reasonable. Ali is a one woman team. I am beyond happy with Bubbles haircut and I love supporting local businesses! I'll definitely be back!
