They also sell various salt water fish, corals, and some aquascaping supplies and materials as well. I've bought most of my aquatic plants from this place since they offer the most diverse selection in town compared to other places. I have also previously bought shrimps, some of which have since multiplied and thrived in my tanks at home. This time, I decided to buy some pygmy corys, white cloud mountain minnows, and clown killifish, all of which are thriving and adapting beautifully so far.

On a recent visit to this location, I visited the aquatics section, the feline section and the clearance section for canine snacks. They had most everything that I expected, however, I did notice that there were some items here that I had not seen at other locations. As with most locations, I generally find employees up front working the cash registers or in the pet grooming area. I didn't really have any questions in my last visit but generally I am able to get questions answered. Due to price and convenience, PetSmart is one of a few pet stores that I always shop in.

Upon…read morecheck out, all health concerns were addressed and the store manager as well as sales associate shared with us that her health was 100%. They threw in once we paid $7,000 that she had a "minor" surgery on her lower stomach (inguinal hernia repair) and that it was common. This information wasn't disclosed to us prior to our interest in taking her home. None the less, we took her home with us (back to upstate NY) where she developed more issues her first few days home. She had a upper respiratory infection, and her sutures were probing inside her stomach.. causing to open up and bleed. These were never removed and/or were we given after care instructions. Luckily we have an amazing vet here who helped us with everything. She had 1 visit to the after hours urgent care.. along with various other nights we considered taking her. She has been in and out of the vet. THEN, ever since she had been home she had coughing, sneezing, kennel cough, loose stools, as well as a UTI.. which as of yesterday.. we were told lab results showed a bacterial infection.. that we've tried to treat but the antibiotic did not fight it. As vet bills have added up every week, as dog owners know can be extremely expensive.. we will do what we can to make sure she is back to normal health.. which she may have never been coming from that place. Our vet is now reaching out to Cornell Medical for further advice. We have had nothing but problems with our poor puppy and pray for good health but would NOT recommend purchasing a puppy from this business. ANYONE who is willing or able to forward this to anyone with authority that can close this place down and put an end to how they treat and handle these poor puppies I highly encourage you do.

About an hour later, I got home thinking we were completely set... only for my husband to announce that he really wanted a front-opening enclosure. So, back to Pet Bazaar we went. Cameron helped us all over again, happily completing the exchange and making sure we had exactly what we needed. He was cheerful, patient, knowledgeable and professional through the entire process, and he even threw in some crickets for Spikey! And somehow, almost unbelievably, we ended up back there a THIRD time. Cameron was still every bit as patient, kind and helpful as he had been on trip No. 1. Thank you so much, Cameron and Pet Bazaar, for helping two very new bearded dragon parents give Spikey the best setup possible. I was pleasantly surprised at the quantity and variety of items that they do stock, especially given the small square footage of the shop. They do have a lot more to offer than would be perceived. Each time that I went in, I took a look around the shop to check out the animals and supplies. I went to the counter to inquire about the items that I was hoping to find and was able to quickly get an answer as to whether or not these items were carried or were just out of stock. I did inquire about the price of aquatic plants and neocaridinas. Their prices were more expensive that the big box stores and the small aquatic shop that I usually patronize. That's not to say that I wouldn't ever shop here in the future but it just isn't that often that I need to modify anything in the aquarium. They might be more price competitive for other items.

Shellie's has been our biggest blessing over the last 4+ years. We came to Shellie's for the first…read moretime after adopting our 5yo Great Pyrenees; he had some baggage/trust issues and it certainly had been a LONG time since his last bath/groom... The team at Shellie's exuded patience and love for our big guy from the very start; we were able to develop a plan for regular visits (even if just a quick wash) to help him acclimate to regular grooming sessions. They never rushed a service with him (the initial took 6hrs, but his later were down to 1.5hrs, keeping the same groomer each time) they kept him comfortable and loved from the get-go. We tragically and unexpectedly lost our sweet Bud this April to Bloat, the whole team shared love and sweet words about our boy. Flash forward to today... we rescued another dog (1/2 Anatolian and 1/2 GP mix). I woke up to him having gotten sick in his crate and "biological waste" covering some of his fur.. tack on that I have a toddler, and this morning just felt like the day was DOOMED before it started. Along came Shellie's to the rescue! I desperately texted to see if they had any same-day appointments for a bath... she promptly responded, was patient with the timing of me getting him there (we had to take a walk.. no way he was getting in the car like that), and kept him for long enough to allow me to clean out the crate/house before needing to pick him up.
