It's been a while since I last visited this store, but they are still as impressive as ever. With possibly the largest selection of nano fish, shrimps, and aquatic plants in Orlando, it's a great place to shop as an aquarium hobbyist. They also sell various salt water fish, corals, and some aquascaping supplies and materials as well. I've bought most of my aquatic plants from this place since they offer the most diverse selection in town compared to other places. I have also previously bought shrimps, some of which have since multiplied and thrived in my tanks at home. This time, I decided to buy some pygmy corys, white cloud mountain minnows, and clown killifish, all of which are thriving and adapting beautifully so far. read more

I visited this locally owned establishment for the first time recently while on the hunt for a nerite snail. I decided that I wanted to support a small, locally owned shop rather than a chain store. They did not disappoint. Although a small store, they have a beautiful selection of aquarium animals and supplies. After being shown around the store by Steve, discussing my mini aquarium and learning about the store and it's many finds, I decided on a Red Wendt II plant, 3 cherry shrimp and a small olive nerite. I received great customer assistance and even signed up for their points system so I can get their updates and sales notifications. I was told that the plant is a hardy one but after just a few days it's too soon to tell if it's happy in my system and sadly my Betta ate the shrimp in less than 12 hours but the nerite looks content. Overall, I'm a satisfied customer and look forward to becoming a regular. read more

Do not buy from Something Fishy. Ordered 2 fish and both arrived dead. Sent 4 emails asking for refund with photos of the dead fish with toothpick in them per instructions on there web site to get refunds on dead fish. No reply at all. Will never order from them again and warned aa my friends. Attach copy of photo they ask for. read more

I love their name. I wish this place was closer to home. It takes me 40 minutes or more depending on traffic. I love that they do a wonderful job keeping their fishies healthy and tanks clean. Also very happy that they don't place their betta fishies in small cups. I see on their IG that they also host sales couple of time a year, so I'm gonna patiently wait for that to happen. read more

I was very disappointed with my purchase. Some of the zoas came in with aptasias on them. Some of the zoas were soo small and malnourished I doubt they survive. The Hammer looked as if it had just been cut and had not healed properly. It will definitely die soon. Horrible online experience. For over $300 worth of coral you would think it would be alot better. read more

Nice store good selection, I'm a freshwater guy so I don't know much about salt water although the corals looked amazing. Store is basically split in half with one side freshwater and the other saltwater, staff was super helpful and answered my questions even helped me identify an algae on my plants. They sold me fish that would eat that algae; I wish for the life of me I could remember the name, but anyway those fish have already made a dent in the algae and we're definitely a perfect suggestion. Plant selection was nice as well I walked away with a few and will definitely be back for more. In my opinion it's worth checking out. read more

We highly recommend this place. It has the most pristine aquariums that I have seen around. The variety of fish are unbelievable. Doesn't look like much from the outside just says aquarium but when you go in you'll enjoy your time in there. We live 2 1/2 hours away and drive here because of the fish and the service. This is regarding freshwater aquaria only, and i'll admit my last visit was several several months ago, but essentially low stock, high prices, and next to nothing for aquascaping. For all that I would have given 3 stars, but my last visit ended with the owner ignoring my farewell pleasantry, and giving me the cold shoulder. Truth is he knew I wasn't buying anything, and truth be told there wasn't anything worth buying. As of now I take a 35 minute trip out of Oviedo and visit Fishy Buisness on Ronald R. Any place that actually places their bettas in aquariums and not in cups is A+ and they care about the welfare of their fish. The store is clean, the prices are good, the selection is great. Hand down the best fish store I have been in in central FL. I only wish I had found you sooner. My only recommendation is a sign by the street. A Pet Supermarket employee found the place for me on a google search...and this was probably asking several places in the area for a good fish store in the past 6 months. I have been to a lot a fish stores and I have never been treated the way I am treated in this store. Lee, always has time to answer my 10,000 questions even though I have a small tank and don't buy expensive fish to him it doesn't matter. He always takes the time for me and makes sure all my fishy needs are taking care of. He's always got that fish that I can't live without. One of the best thing about his store is he only sells you what is needed and doesn't try to up sell you. His prices on fish and coral is cheaper then the other 2 fish stores in the area. Something Fishy is a very cool place to shop. I love the detail in the showroom. While looking at the various types of fish and coral the staff was extremely helpful and not pushy at all. What's really impressive is the variety of both fresh and salt water fish. My daughter had a blast looking at the starfish and was really excited when the owner let her feed some fish!! So I was here last weekend and I was completely blown away. I've been in the hobby - well all my life really but more recently back into salt water for over 3 years now. Everyone knows about the big name players in Orlando but I've never seen such a nice LFS. They have an amazing freshwater selection that will pull you away from checking out the saltwater goodies, and that doesn't happen every day. So yes, they have freshwater and saltwater fish, and coral frags - at decent prices too. I'll be back for sure. read more

I took the leap and started a salt water aquarium with his help. He was very helpful and made an intimidating process very easy.
