Bulletproof Dog Training

Bulletproof Dog Training

I could not be more unhappy with the training that we received for our dog from Bulletproof Dog…read moreTraining in Eastgate. Our dog was a barker and jumper. She didn't have any terrible behavioral issues. She was the most friendly, sweet, LOVING dog we had ever met. Once she cam home from the training, she was very sick. I did not receive updates on her while in training as promised. I was never notified that she was sick. When we picked her up they said she was sneezing from getting bathed. That was not the case, she was sick for a month and on antibiotic for a month. After speaking to Bill about the issue of her being sick and not receiving updates, he refunded $500. Which now in hindsight, I should have received a full refund. Once our dog started to feel better, she has become more aggressive, which she never was. She will not allow us to put any training collar on her as she is so afraid of it and snaps at whoever is putting it on her. We rescued our dog from the side of the road at 8 weeks old. She was not mistreated. She was the sweetest jumping, barking baby. Now, she doesn't trust anyone but our family. No one can go near her in her crate, come to the door, stop for a visit, on walks or in public that she doesn't know. I am not saying that Bulletproof has bad training, I am saying that whatever they did to our family dog was bad training. If she was unable to be trained with normal measures then we should have been notified. She should have been pulled from the program. I believe that she was "zapped" too much and at too high of a level which has made her so afraid and aggressive. The dogs that they train should be trained through positive reinforcement, not zapping the h3ll out of them through fear and PAIN!!!!!! Shame on you, Bulletproof, Cincinnati!!!!!! Shame on you!!!!!!

I genuinely cannot recommend Anderson Township Family Pet Center enough! Whether you're in need of…read morevet recommended dog food, affordable + safe doggy daycare, grooming needs, puppy training, or simply in need of toys or treats for your dog or cat, ATFPC is the spot. The staff at ATFPC is always very welcoming, and helpful, and my dog is always excited to be there. For anyone considering doggy daycare, my dog ALWAYS comes home from ARFPC exhausted since he's been playing all day long (they play from the time your dog arrives until 4pm) and I know they take the necessary steps to ensure all of the dog's safety. Go check out ATFPC, I promise you won't be disappointed and your pet will thank you!!

There is ample parking out front or on the side of the building. They are currently offering curbside if you'd like to stay in your car. I'm not sure anyone here would know what I'm talking about, but walking in instantly reminded me of the Agway stores in the Northeast. There is so much here. Having frequented many pet stores over the years, if this was closer to my house it would be a go -to. The inside isn't fancy, its no frills, but the staff is so nice and knowledgeable, the selection is great, and the prices are good too! Right when you walk in there is an aisle full of pet lover stuff for the owners, including shirts, posters and keychains. They have a huge selection of high quality dog foods, and even bigger selection of dog treats, tons of toys (including some unique that I've never seen), beds, leashes and more. They offer boarding, daycare, and training classes in an area behind the retail store. While I was there several people were picking up their pets. There is even some farm type items like local honey and jams. Support local and check this place out!

I ran into a situation where I needed some work done at my home, and I could not continue to foster the FOURTEEN foster pets that I had through them at the time. Rather than work with me, help me, and have empathy for my situation, I experienced a lot of pushback, and negative reactions to needing a break from fostering. My phone calls and texts were not being returned. When they were returned, I was met with attitude and a complete lack of understanding or compassion. After much resistance, they finally took the fosters back. They don't supply their fosters with food or supplies as they claim. Not once was I given any supplies for the dozens of animals that I fostered through them, even when I expressed that the puppies I was fostering were going through more food than I could manage. They also don't spay and neuter most of their animals before adoption. Now that I am back in my home, neither Regan, nor Jaime, (the founders of PORT), will return my messages asking about the well-being of my former fosters. If you bend over and break your back for them, you'll be great. But God forbid life happens and you find yourself unable to help, because you then mean NOTHING to them. Proceed with caution should you decide to do any sort of business with PORT. Don't expect a lot of help. Definitely don't expect compassion and empathy when life happens. Edit in response to PORT's reply: Port requires a minimum of 5 days notice for return, except in cases of emergency. I had an emergency. I explained this to you guys over and over and over again and your response was, "that must be tough." I had a dog through you that was being aggressive with a child. But you guys didn't consider a threat to someone's safety an emergency and were of no help. In some cases, I waited more than 5 days for you to help; I waited literally weeks! Not to mention that that dog was pregnant, and when I took her, you never advised me that that was a possibility. So I ended up with eight puppies, when I agreed to one. It was never "clear to you" that our foster relationship had come to its conclusion and that I wished to step away. I quite literally told you that once I was back in my home, I would take the animals back if they still needed placement. I notified you on July 10th that I could not handle all of the puppies. You did not take them until July 18th, and that was only after I showed up to get their shots and microchips, and had to PLEAD with you to help me. I notified both of you that Rusty was a safety risk, and you literally did not care. Even after notifying you of the unsafe circumstances, it took you two days to take her, and that was only after I refused to give you any more leeway. That was also after I had notified you on July 10th that I could not handle all of the animals that I had. You did not take Rusty back until July 31st. I let you know on July 28th that I was having trouble getting the kittens adopted. I notified you on August 4th that we needed to move the kittens. You did not take them until August 15th. As for the spay/neuter, it's irresponsible for a rescue not to spay and neuter before adoption, regardless of any contract. I also asked, several times, about getting my fosters fixed, and you never followed through. Don't gaslight me. You did enough of that when I was actually fostering with you.

All these years later I still get compliments on how well behaved he is, especially for his breed. This is the reason, now that I have obtained another husky puppy, that I have returned with the new dog! Mary Jo is a very experienced and compassionate trainer. She really cares about the dogs and wants them to succeed. Prices are on point with similar facilities. During 2020 they are requiring masks, limiting class sizes, 1 person per dog, and have the floor marked for 6ft distancing (which would be standard to keep the dogs apart anyways, so its observed). Discounts are offered if you buy more than one session at once, or decide to continue to the next level by wk 7. There is also a referral discount. Many different times are available from daytime, to evening, to weekends, so something for everyone. They also offer agility classes here once youve completed all the obedience levels. Private training sessions are also offered for a reasonable fee. As an experienced pet owner, and vet tech, I highly recommend this spot for your dog. I used to do obedience myself, but saw such a major difference when I started taking my pets to classes with other dogs.
