We bought a new house knowing that there was electric work to be done. During the process of getting estimates (which is a pain) the people from Cullen were again and again the most responsive and the kindest. Their estimate also came in among the lowest and it was the most detailed explanation of what they would be doing. During the process they kept me appraised regularly and clearly about the many changes ( Not their fault - the guy who DIY-ed the electric in our house was clearly inept) Everyone who came to the house over the three week process to get everything repaired was polite and helpful. They definitely made dealing with a stressful situation manageable and the guarantee on their work gives me piece of mind. Highly recommended if you need Electric work! (BTW - The only negative review I can find is about a single driver, and not about the companies electric work. In all my dealings with the company and Andrew Cullen that's something he wouldn't tolerate as he's a big advocate of customer service.) read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I recently purchased my first home and had to have it rewired. I went with Cullen as the initial phone call I had with the owner was an awesome first impression. A technician was sent out to do the estimate, which came out higher than I was quoted over the phone. I wasn't upset with this since I couldn't expect a quote over the phone to be entirely accurate. I was however completely disappointed with the entire project. First, the tech that was sent out to complete the job basically destroyed my house. I was advised that there would be holes in the walls as needed to do any rewirings (roughly 10 would be normal) and yet ended up with OVER 80 holes in my 1200 sq ft home. Every room had ceiling and wall holes when my home has attic access as well as basement access. NOTHING was ever communicated to me about why things were happening or that it was being done incorrectly. I was completely taken advantage of in this situation. One person would say one thing, another would say something else, and on and on. Communication does not exist within this company for sure. Managers and owners visited my home during this project and not once was anything stopped to be corrected until I had expressed my frustration. Lights were put in places that made no sense, nobody ever asked me where I even wanted the lights placed specifically, light switch and outlet covers were crooked, my home was left with uncovered holes allowing insulation to fall every time a door was closed while my child and dogs occupy this home for weeks. They caused extra damage that was unneeded by being careless. Then the contractor they use to repair the holes is a joke. I was to pay for the cost of 80+ holes being repaired after paying over 10k for having the rewire. Andy (owner) did agree to cover these costs, after going back and forth, but yet the work was not completed to satisfaction. When Shannon came back into my home to see what was still needing fixed, it was an argument. Needless to say, they are out of my home and it's not been easy putting it back together. This experience has been a huge learning lesson and I will never recommend this company to anyone. Everything that could have gone wrong with my home, did. I am so shocked to see all the great ratings (which is what I went by when I was researching companies). If I would have seen something like mine, I would have definitely went with another company. All I wanted was for my home to be safely rewired and put back to the way it was when they started. They destroyed it. read more

In July someone came to my house to give me a quote on replacing old wiring. I was told I would have a quotewithin two weeks. I did not get a quote and called them back in August and was told they were a little behind it will be another two weeks. It is now December and I still have not heard from them so obviously they do not need my business. Was not impressed with their customer service. read more

I contacted Cullen Electric to install two ceiling fans and an exterior outlet. However, due to poor workmanship by the first crew sent to my home, only one ceiling fan was installed and that installation was wrong in very aspect. However when I sent an e-mail to the owner of the business, Andy Cullen, the following morning I was shocked to receive a response from him while he was on a plane flying out west. Mr. Cullen quickly understood my concerns and took immediate action through e-mails to his management team. Within hours the company;s operations manager was at my house to fix the installation and Mr. Cullen paid for a professional painter to repair a hole the original crew had placed in a wall. And then Mr. Cullen did the truly unexpected and refunded me the original cost to install the fan. Mr. Cullen is truly one of a kind when it comes to customer service. He did everything within his power to make sure I was happy with the installation. His actions prove that Cullen Electric puts its customers first in every way.
