I have two dogs, Kaiser and Jack, and a cat , Ginger who all get groomed here regularly, and the care and attention they receive is exceptional. Jack is a Shih Tzu with very long hair, and every time he comes out, his cut is absolutely perfect -- clean, even, and so cute. Kaiser always looks great too, and they handle him with such patience and kindness. My cat, who sheds like crazy, always comes back looking fresh and clean, with so much loose hair removed -- I can tell she feels more comfortable afterward. Both groomers do a phenomenal job and it's clear they genuinely love what they do. The owner, Robert is incredibly kind and caring -- always warm and welcoming whenever I drop off or pick up my pets. It's such a relief to know they're in such good hands. If you're looking for a grooming place where your pets will be treated like family and come out looking (and feeling) amazing, this is it. Highly recommend

What really means the world to us is that Onyva is a crate-free facility. My dog has severe crate anxiety and will often pee himself if left in a crate for more than five minutes. At Onyva, there is always someone watching your dog closely and giving them attention. I cannot recommend them enough!

This is a review for the store at Walden street and Crate Escape Too in Cambridge…read more I love taking my little dog for a play date at #CrateEscapeToo, and he loves being there. They have an open back yard, perfect for puppy games and fun on a hot day. And they are all about making sure the dog is happy and well matched. I go by my dog's inclination to a place and people and every time I see his wiggly little tail and happy face on our way to Crate Escape Too, I am in heaven! Thank you all for your love and care!

We adopted a rescue dog 2 years ago that we learned had severe separation anxiety and exhibited…read morefear around other dogs. We were concerned about how things would go but were very impressed from the moment we first contacted Crate Escape. We initially brought Cookie to the Charlestown location which has lots of big dogs and, because that's how big dogs have fun, can be a bit boisterous at times. The excellent staff there told us they thought the Huron Ave location would be a better situation for Cookie. They were right. They did a thorough screen to ensure the environment would be safe for both Cookie and other dogs, and helped us ease her in, initially dropping her off for only a couple of hours at a time on less busy days so she'd have time to acclimate. Two years later and she's staying the entire day twice a week and she *LOVES* it. It's like her puppy play date which she returns from exhausted but happy every single time. The staff are absolutely incredible, and we are sincerely grateful to them as they have improved our pup's quality of life substantially. Obviously, all puppy all the time would be every dog owner's dream, but if that's not possible and you have to work to pay the bills and keep them in kibble, you really can't go wrong with Crate Escape!

I had the pleasure of assisting Kelly at her shop from the Fall of 2022 until the Spring of 2023…read more When I say I have never met anyone else who works as hard as Kelly, or who puts as much heart into their craft as she does, I mean it. She truly cares about her clientele and they sure do love her back! Seeing how the dogs would light up with joy and wagging tails as they were dropped off for their grooming with Kelly really warmed my heart. It was such a great experience working with her. She now has another groomer, Amanda, in the shop who has been doing exceptional work and has many years experience. Ask about her Bichon Frisé cuts! This is great news because now it means that they are now accepting new clients! Please consider this shop for your dog's next grooming experience. You will not regret it! I had a really…read morebad experience at PetSmart that left my Cavalier KC traumatized and in the ER; you can imagine I was pretty anxious in taking my baby back to a new place. Daniella is the only groomer there so she personally takes care of each dog from beginning to end. I explained all that had happened in the past and she was super understanding, texted and kept me updated throughout the service until the end plus my doggie looked so fluffy, cute and well groomed! I'm definitely going back to her! The price is also very reasonable so a plus on that as well! Thank you Daniella!

I no longer trust Crate Escape to care for my dog…read more Our dog had gone to the Crate Escape since he'd had his shots. He was well cared-for, and enjoyed going there. The last few times we brought him there, the staff was clearly under-trained and awkward with him. After one pickup, we noticed a nasty abrasion on his skin with some bleeding. I got an "oh gosh, we didn't notice that", and a followup phone call that meant nothing. They have switched to an online booking system that's poorly designed and a pain to use, very different from the days when you'd just call and make a reservation. I strongly recommend avoiding these folks. They used to be great. I would have gone out of my way to bring in more customers for them back then; all the good will is gone.

Natasha didn't respond in a timely manner to reasonable questions - what time should we get there? What time will she be finished? I went with it this time anyway since her work is so good. After dropping our dog off at 8:30 am, I stopped in at 3 pm since I couldn't believe how long it was taking. The dog had been bathed, and there were several dogs ahead of her to be groomed. Natasha wanted to keep our dog there at least until 6pm (going on 10 hours) during which she hadn't been fed, or gotten outside. I really wish this had worked out. But no dice.
