Our instructions were, that we receive paw prints and a lock of his hair. Not difficult I would think. Unfortunately we did not get the hair. They didn't clip it. I can't say how much anguish this has caused and there is no going back. We've had issues before with this clinic. We had an emergency and they said they would take our dog for an extra 25.00. They are uncaring and it's all about the money. There are lots of good vets around, you don't need to go there

I felt confident sending her in to get help on her own. the kitten was lethargic, not eating, not drinking, which my daughter, thru tears, explained to Dr. maya. she was told we don't take walk ins sorry. Go to emergency. Dr. Maya was cold, and didn't even look at kitten. customers waiting told my daughter they were sorry and hoped her kitten would be alright as she left. Dr. Maya and staff said nothing, not even goodbye. my daughter took a cab to Shawnessy and was told they don't take walk ins either, but considering the symptoms were severe and my daughter was clearly upset, they looked at kitten. Despite being fully booked as well, they helped her and were wonderful and caring. The kitten had to be euthanized an hour later, diagnosed with extremely fast progressing FIP. This was an awful lot for an 28 year old to handle, but the staff at Shawnessy pet hospital were caring and wonderful. My daughter said Dr Malay was cold towards her and made her feel uncomfortable. And then proceeded to stare at her saying nothing as she cried and waited for her cab to take kitten elsewhere. Shame on you. We will never be back , and we have had two dogs from puppy to adulthood have all their treatment there. If there was a zero star review.... Dr Naya would get that for showing zero compassion. maybe if an adult, not 18 year old had walked in the treatment would have been different

I have been in 5 times since in the last 6 mos I would say and it seems to have gone downhill. At first I played it off as staff having a bad day but after 5 visits, more of the same? No smiles, no one offers assistance and you almost feel like a disruption at the cash when it is time to check out. I dunno, maybe they are not doing too well. It is a decent sized store with an OK selection. For the price of what they charge here compared to larger box stores, I will only go from now on in emergency situations.

I've been signed up for their Free Rewards program, however I'm not sure what it's for - the website isn't very descriptive and in the past 2 years I haven't saved on anything I've purchased. Recently I've noticed that their Table Treats (pretzel bully sticks, pizzle sticks, etc) are usually picked over and the prices of items have also increased significantly (a small deer antler chew has gone from $7 to $12!). They have started carrying the Puppy Love bulk bags (5 pretzel chews for $20) so I'll grab a bag if/when they do have them in stock - I've only managed to find a bag twice since December I wish this place had a better loyalty program or better promotions to entice people to come here more often. Food and treat wise I'll head here sometimes but toys and other pet supplies I'll head to the nearby Pet Smart or even Walmart because it's a lot cheaper.

I used to come to Global Pet Foods pretty regularly every few weeks to stock up on raw food for my…read moredogs because I absolutely loved the service. My last visit, unfortunately, will be my last. Since expanding their raw food selection, Global has not kept up with educating their staff about canine nutrition, which made for an extremely awkward and painful experience listening to a staff member try to make it sound like she knew what she was talking about. Global has clearly caught onto a market that is demanding raw food nutrition for their pets, but has fallen sorely behind in backing these products up. There are many other highly knowledgeable sources available in the city if you are looking to buy raw food for your dogs, and I would highly recommend giving your business to people whose passion is extending genuine knowledge and sound advice regarding canine nutrition. In hindsight, I wish I would have brought my business to a local pet store anyway, rather than a chain that offers Air Miles and drives other small businesses across the street under...

In fact, when Milo goes outside to potty, his feet get so cold, he hobbles around as though his legs are broken until we get inside to the warmth. I knew I had to get him boots at minimum. And, I wasn't looking forward to it. I know how dogs HATE boots. Thank goodness for Global Pet Foods. One of the staff members energetically ran over to help us try on boots. She found the perfect ones for them, and helped me get them on. She made the process so easy and even brought treats over for Milo so that we could make sure he could walk in his new boots -- he wasn't wanting to move otherwise! Then, we moved onto coats. They had so many options and sizes. I found him a perfectly fitting Canada Pooch one with a cute scarf to match. I just HAD to... (haha)! When I was checking out, I was laughing with the ladies running the store about all the hilarious winter gear for dogs out there. I brought up this knit hat with braids that I saw on the Canada Pooch website, and we just died laughing. They said they would like to try ordering some and would call me if they end up getting them in stock. Such a fun place to shop with great customer service.
