This place has everything from pet food to pet beds. They've got a bunch of different sized scratching posts for the cats, as well as a bunch of kennels for making taking the pet somewhere a little easier. There are even cages for hamsters and all the stuff needed to get started. Obviously, it doesn't smell that great in the place, but that's probably from all the spilled food. It actually smelled like dogs breath. I guess if you're a dog person you'd love this fact, but being the cat person I am, I wasn't a huge fan. The smell wasn't enough to drive me out though. There were a couple nice, pretty helpful people in the store who looked pretty happy to assist me in any way they could. I was looking for a post that my parent's cat could scratch up, since they seem to be big fans of the couches. I was surprised by the amount of pet supplies and food they carry. This very nice lady ANY in the fish dept. She was very helpful and she helped me with getting a flat deck cart and load it on cart (29 gallon ) we did together every one was busy. It was busy wen I was there. The nice cashier and manager offered a carry out. I had gone in about 4 or 5 months ago and was talking with one of the lady's, and mentioned to in talking that my dog was having a really bad ear reaction and ot was swelling up. So I was taking her to the vet. She asked what dog food she was on, and I showed her. She suggested going to a fish based food. The downside of that has been that I was travelling to many different stores. I'm happy to say that has changed since I have been a customer with Dog Gone Healthy. I began shopping there in December 2011 when the store first opened and have found Dog Gone Healthy to be a very big time saver! First I will say that Laura the owner has done an extensive amount of research on what is nutritionally best for our 4 legged family members. There is not an item in the place that she doesn't know inside and out so you can be sure you will walk out with what you need. She is able to answer all my questions and guide me to the solution, I have never felt like she was recommending a product to me simply to make a sale. Laura also has a great selection of accessories that are as pretty as they are functional. I've never been a fan of a dog bed that looks out of place in my home. (Like it belongs in a barn or somewhere in the wilderness! lol ) She really has it all! I am looking forward to getting out to the pack walks that she posts on her Facebook page! What a great idea! Veronica is consistently sour and scowling when talking to people. She and other members of staff contribute to a very unwelcoming and judgmental environment, and you get the impression that interacting with clients is a burden for them and they'd rather be doing anything else than talking to you. It is never a good feeling to walk into this establishment, which is too bad because the grooms are actually quite well done. If this business was run by more tolerable people it would get five stars easy.
