They have a great variety of toys, more than other premium stores I have been too. There is a good selection of leashes and collars. They have a great stock of bones and bulk treats. I got a great deal on 2 massive rawhide bones for $10! They are well stocked with dry and wet foods, although I didn't see any raw food. They had a huge section for cats too! No one initially asked to help me, so I looked at the dog food and grabbed one I thought would be good. When I went to the counter the lady asked if I found everything I was looking for. I told her what I was looking for and asked if the food I had chosen was good. She said it was, but suggested another food since my dog has a sensitive stomach. She also suggested a probiotic powder that you can put on your dogs food, she uses it for her dog. I had never heard of the food she suggested or the powder but together they sounded like what I needed. I was very happy with the overall selection that Fairplay offers! The prices seemed to be decent for toys, treats and food. I will definitely return to Fairplay for my pet supply needs!

It would seem that this particular PP caters mostly to dogs, leaving not much for the cat owners in the area. There are waaay more dog food, treat, toy choices than there are cat stuff. This is unfortunate because I'm such a cat lover. They also seem to carry mostly food. There aren't a whole lot of toys, though there are some. Most, again, are for the pups, and seem to be treats as well as toys. They do have a lots of treats for the animals though, which is nice. This Pet Planet is also a groomers, which is great. It means that you can have your pet prettied up while you buy new food, litter, toys or treats. The staff are just as nice here as anywhere else, and don't hesitate to answer questions or offer a hand. A mediocre Pet Planet in my opinion, but I'm a cat lover so that's why I don't dig the abundance of doggie stuff!

Given my own feeble attempts to shave him, I assumed Pet Planet might fail too. Thankfully, the groomer was able to clip his nails in less than 30 seconds, then efficiently proceeded to execute a lion cut. No fuss, no muss. No scratching or biting like he does with me. After the clippers, she deftly and impressively trimmed the legs with scissors in no time flat. I was in and out in just over half an hour! Dog service is usually slower though, I'll warn you. People usually bring in their pooch at 9am and dogs stay in cages between cutting, shampooing, drying, etc. until the late afternoon. They were are pretty quiet though, bemused by my shorn cat. The cat was relieved to be rid of the fur and so was I...$50 well spent!

It's good in that there is everything you could ever want: from dog frames and nick-knacks, to food and toys, to a bakery and room FILLED with dog treats. To say it's a bit cluttered is one thing - but it's also intriguing to take 10 minutes to poke around and see what is there, like a doggie treasure hunt if you will. The lady who owns it is really friendly and helpful (and you'll always leave with a pocketful for fresh baked treats). I use a food that isn't carried so she always special orders for me which is nice of her. The prices are also a little cheaper than chain stores. The only REAL problem with the entire store is the checkout and the till staff when you want to GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY !! I was there on Dec 11 and dropped a couple of hundred on dog food and that's how it happened! I'm not sure why Yelp felt the need to hide all the positive reviews and leave the negative ones. I'd never been into a global pet foods before moving into the neighbourhood. I have now and I can say that I love it. The staff here are highly knowledgable and really care about your pets. They're willing to go above and beyond to make sure you and your pet is happy. They helped me out with a tricky food situation for my cat and saved me money doing it. They have a great food and litter loyalty program and carry all the brands you could want OR can order them in if by some off chance they don't have the ones you're looking for. From now on, I'll come here for all my pet needs.
