Unfortunately, the second visit completely changed our perception. During our second appointment at the 130 Avenue location, Roxy groomed our dog. About 20 minutes later, she called us saying she could not continue because the dog was presenting wounds. These wounds appeared while our dog was under her care. When we arrived, our dog had visible injuries on his chest, was bleeding, and was trembling. Roxy was also trembling while speaking to us and implied that the injuries may have already existed, mentioning that he had "strange fur." We immediately removed our dog from the store while he was still bleeding. Today, we scheduled another grooming appointment specifically with a different groomer. However, Roxy was present again and involved herself in the appointment, even though we were not scheduled with her. This made us extremely uncomfortable. It feels like she has a personal issue with our family, and we do not understand why. Because of this situation, we had to cancel the grooming once again. We no longer feel safe leaving our dog there. This experience has been stressful, upsetting, and deeply concerning regarding our pet's safety. We expected much better care, accountability, and professionalism from PetSmart.

Would you like us to take him to the vet?" I responded with, if it's no longer bleeding, I'll come in and see. He was not taken to the vet that day, but within a few days, we had to take him. Long story short, he now has a bleeding ulcer of his eyeball, and we are aggressively treating it to prevent surgery. 50% cornea loss as of now. As expected, zero accountability from the store. "We can not prove it was the groomer who scratched the eye". My advice, if you are ever asked, would you like us to take them to the vet, even if the issue looks resolved, always say YES! I understand that sometimes accidents happen, we are just shocked by the lack of accountability.

The lady I spoke with said it's absolutely fine and that they can definitely get my dog in as long as we're there prior to 5:30pm. When we went to drop my dog off (at exactly 5:25pm) we were told (by Brandy and Megan) that they would not accept her as they were claiming it was 5:33pm and since we were supposedly 3 minutes late they could no longer accept her. We were not late! We were actually shocked by this and even double checked the time only to be told that our clocks must be behind and the store clock is accurate. Seriously..? We arrived prior to 5:30 and even if we hypothetically arrived 3 minutes late, it's still not okay to reject a customer in that manner. At that point we didn't want to argue as the two ladies seemed so careless and unprofessional that we felt extremely uncomfortable ever leaving our dog with them. I'm still pretty shocked about this situation. We have been longtime customers at this Petland location so it's unfortunate that this occurred. We will be taking our dog elsewhere and advising our friends to stay clear of this location.

They joke about how he is "miserable as usual" when we walk in lol. They are super knowledgeable about raw food, and I appreciate that they will not sell people crap. They are always ready to recommend resources to further your education as a dog owner. The products are quite cool there too; there are some unique items that you custom order there. Have yet to go into a better neighbourhood pet store.

She is amazing and is the only groomer that single handedly improved our dog's temper/bad attitude when getting groomed. It took us several years and multiple groomers before we met Crystal and omg are we thankful that we did! We also purchase Thor's dog food, treats, clothes, accessories, and bedding from this Petsmart as their service is great and all the people working there are so welcoming and helpful. The store is also kept well stocked and clean everytime we visit. Again, I cannot say enough good things about this Petsmart and definitely recommend it to everyone! In my opinion, it's totally worth the drive!
