Oh, and don't even think about contacting head office as they support their franchise owners and NOT the customer. They will make the situation worse and throw you under the bus!! I quickly learned that Donia is a very remarkable person who offers more than just her board and train services. It's also great to note that she offers these services in her own home which means she spends a lot of time with each of the pets that she takes in. When we first met with Donia, she explained her services and based on our training needs recommended a two week board and train for our 14 months old boxer. BONUS: She also owns boxers and understands their boxer-isms! We were a bit hesitant and worry-some to leave our pup with someone and we were always curious as to his going-on's. But Donia was awesome at keeping her facebook page updated with pictures and updates on to his training status. She also sent check-in emails which put our minds at ease. Once he was done his training, we immediately saw a change in his behaviours and definitely picked up on the new things he had learned with her. We did find a need for additional training on his crating but Donia was quick to offer assistance and tips for us. She has been a great resource for us and we are glad to have met her. We will definitely use her services again as she has become an important part of our family.

A pleasant interaction is standard every time I go in, Lulu is in good hands. She went in once with an ear infection which I had missed. It was treated and forgotten about. It has been five hair cuts since the infection, when I pick her up we have the usual salon conversation with a full report on both ears. Truly amazing they noted that detail and check for me every time. I never worry about my Lulu while she is in their care. If you can get your dog in, your dog will be in caring hands. We are happy that they will feed our dogs their raw diet, keep them together, and even cater to our grouchy shiba inu who likes to start fights - we couldn't ask for more. Each time we are away we get to see our kids playing and having a great time, they come home happy and uninjured, and the price is right. I also like that there are a variety of dogs there and that the owners seem to be breeders of Mini-shelties themselves. Great find, and close for us being out in Bragg Creek.

Attentive service as one would expect. However, the level of compassion and service we received last week when we came in to euthanize our family's cat, Holly, exceeded expectations. (note to the reader: this was a scheduled visit, not a random walk-in... that would be weird). Dr Marty was exceptionally thoughtful and articulate when explaining the process of euthanasia to my family - which included our 12-year-old daughter (it was ultimately her cat). Today, we received a handwritten note in the mail expressing heartfelt condolences, written and signed by Dr Marty himself, and signed by his staff. How kind, how thoughtful. Thank you so much, Dr Marty and team. Your care and attention given to our family, and Holly was greatly appreciated.

I can say with all honesty, that this is one of the best clinics I have ever brought a pet to. Whether it has been for routine vaccinations, a sick pet, or purchasing speciality food for a pet with allergies, they are always friendly and helpful. You get the feeling that they truly CARE about animals and making things easy on them. I, sadly, had to put a beloved pet down who was very ill, earlier this year. They treated both me and my fur-baby with compassion and respect. They even carried my dog in the clinic for me as he couldn't walk and he was too heavy for me to carry. I really appreciated their care -- giving me time and explaining everything along the way. I even got a follow up and a card in the mail a week after. Truly a great vet. Would highly recommend them.

The…read moreoffice admin is like a security guard and doesn't allow any patient to get through to Dr Schell to ask questions. They are bad for properly crediting your account when credit is supposed to be given and then you have to fight for it - and....you'll lose. Dr Schell is a good vet but it's going to cost you big time and they get upset if you go somewhere cheaper for routine testing. I took my dog to another vet for a urinalysis because BBV was hundreds of dollars more expensive. The results were sent back to BBV and they charged me about $80 for Dr Schell to look at the results at our next visit - which we also paid a full vet exam fee plus the charge to look at the results. One month, my dog was there 3 times that month for the same issue and I was charged a full vet exam fee every visit. Typically vets don't charge for follow up exams. They usually charge for the initial exam but not for a follow up / check up of the same issue. This was the last straw for me - so I moved on to a different holistic vet after being with BBV for a few years and my dog being a very regular patient of theirs...getting monthly chiro and acupuncture as well as regular check ups etc. I'll pay what I have to for my fur babies but I don't like being "nickel and dimed" to death. Please notice that all the other reviews are several years old. I think they've changed in a negative way over the last 5 years.

I have been going to this Veterinarian Hospital for a little over a year now for my cat (4yrs) &…read moredog (8yrs). I have found that the employees are always friendly, and will giggle and joke around with you. The main Dr. that I have delt with has always been honest and has never made an attempt to cash grab. Even when I was in a panicked state and insisted on him giving my cat an x-ray, he advised after giving my cat a physical, that he was confident my cat didn't need an x-ray. I told him that because of past experience, I wanted to see for myself and so he did, and he was right. He also wrote down a few natural solutions to a few problems I was having with my cat, so that I could try them at home before having to come in and spend any extra money. I took my dog to the same Dr. because he was limping about after every major walk & play date with other dogs. He advised us that he thought it was minor artheritis in his one knee, and to try this certain vitamin in his food rather than medication to help his pain! We haven't noticed the limping since! The at home tips they've given me have been so helpful & unnecessary, yet they still give them. I have the genuine feeling that they care more about my pets well being than the extra buck they'll make on an unnecessary x-ray.
