I contacted Veronica's in advance, letting them know my 10 year-old dog can be leash aggressive and doesn't like super high energy dogs. They responded in a timely fashion and explained they had different rooms for different energy level dogs. They were extremely friendly, sent photos of my dog, and made me feel extremely comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands! I cannot say enough good things about this place and I would bring my dog here in a heartbeat if needed in the future

Jean-Francois and I had several conversations in the month before my trip; he assured me that they could take care of my dog no matter what, and he went so far as to offer to bring her to my hotel so that I could walk her every day of her stay. A last-minute reprieve from the work hotel meant I was able to spend my entire trip with my dog. When I picked up my girl a couple hours after dropping her off, the staff member at the desk described her interactions with other dogs in detail, and they were quick to mention that, as expected, she had shown signs of stress and separation anxiety. The kennel space itself is clean and carefully managed. Kennel spaces and the outdoor yard are floored in concrete, but the dogs don't seem to mind. There is also a wide selection of treats, baked bones, bully sticks, and dog gear in the lobby. JF and his team truly care about dogs. If you need to board while in Banff, look no further than Veronica's.

Looking for an affordable dog kennel for our shepherd-collie cross had been a difficult challenge…read more We wanted somewhere that had lots of playtime, and open space for our dog to run around in, not just a small fenced in area he had to lay in for two weeks. We found that at Treetops. The staff is so caring, and really got to know our dog's habits, and playmates. He never said our dog's name incorrectly (which happens at almost every other place we go with him), which proved to us that he cared enough to learn our dog's name. After a two week stint at Treetops, our dog was exhausted and elated. He was so happy running around with his friends, he almost didn't want to leave! Their prices are great, and the staff loves dogs. Great place to take your pooch.

Hello to all dog owners, I feel it's time to write my review…read moreabout my second experience in Treetops kennel with my sable German Shepherd by name Jasper from work line and intact at that time.I'll go back to Spring 2015 when I had to put my GS in Treetops kennel due to visit my mom in Europe. My dog was there for almost 2 weeks and when i came to pick him up he was jumping up to my shoulders and happy to see me.Unfortunately I had to put him down almost 3 weeks later it happen so fast due to his enlarge heart and so much body fluids in his lungs, on top of it vet did find fracture tooth. My dog was always a very healthy dog whole life and never slow down, but he lived in city, but not outside in a dog house. That kennel is not heated or close at nigh( during cold weather).Due to a very cold conditions he got very sick! Please do not sign any waiver when leaving with your dog and go direct to see your vet for check up.To all staff I'll never forgive you!!! Alena Kyselova from Calgary,Canada

They treat my dog like a king, and truly look after him as if he were home. (or better yet). Whenever he sees their van pull up, he is ready to just jump in so he can be wisked off to his spa for his holiday. I never ever have to worry about him, as they treat him like one of their own. This Kennel is highly recommended for short or long term stays. They are clean, and have a lot of space for off lease entertainment.

We tired one kennel just outside of Cochrane only to have our dog returned home filthy (had been peed on by other dog) his bed was all peed on and our groomer found a cut on his foot the next day... so we were very on guard as we continue to search for another kennel - that's when we tried Country Tails. Dave and Cathy are fantastic and it is clear they love and are commitment to running a safe and fun Country Tails Kennel. They quickly put you at ease, and our dogs loved them!! Last time we dropped them off at the kennel, our older dog (who had been there before) didn't even look back at us but pulled the staff member into the back to be with the other dogs - he's only ever done this at our old kennel before our move ...that speaks volumes to us!! Thanks to Dave & Cathy for all their hard work, care and love in watching over my fur-balls :)

We have been looking for a daycare closer to home for our one year old puppy. This seemed like a…read morenice place. She went for the introduction day and all went well. There were no issues with her fitting in with the other dogs. When we picked her up, we noticed the handler aggressively correcting her with the leash (negative reinforcement). We had understood the daycare had a positive reinforcement policy. Beyond this being a bad training technique, it is useless with our dog as it makes her more excited. We did not say anything to the handler and brought it to the attention of the owner privately to see what was their opinion. He responded that both us and our dog are no longer welcome at his business.

It was brought to my attention recently that I write pretty critical reviews about pet care places…read moreon my Yelp. I am a pretty protective dog dad and bad experiences tend to stick out, so I thought it was time to write about where we found that we are happy with! One day while at the Bowness off leash park, there were quite a few more dogs than usual. Turns out it was "park play day" where the daycare brings the dogs for some playtime in the park. The owner was there and taking pictures of the dogs, as it turns out he is also a pet photographer! Our dog turned out to be pretty photogenic and got some good pictures. My girlfriend got information about the daycare and the next week we started taking him there. The building is a good size inside and outdoor play area as well. On hot summer days there are kiddie pools set up where the dogs can jump in and cool down. The facebook page is updated often with pictures and videos of all the dogs so we can check in and see all the fun being had while we are at work! Brian, Janice and all their staff are amazing. They always tell us a bit about what our dog did, who he played with and such. We have never had any issues with the daycare. It is reasonably priced, with multi day packs available to save some money. They also do regular nail trims for him, sometimes without us even asking! Brian also has a professional photo studio where he does amazing work with the dogs. We took ours in for a Christmas photo shoot and ended up getting amazing pictures and Christmas cards done. I would highly recommend Back in the Pack, and I'm sure my dog would too!
