Everything I took my dog in there the back room is disgusting, they do not clean up the rooms good after a dog is done and not to mention, when I went and got a groom for my dog and the boss left the nails way to short and the hair was still wet and the cut was just horrible they were really patchy and some places were just not even at all. I also wanna talk about the older lady who works at the store not the boss but the older one she has a very bad attitude with the clients there she ether complaines about doing her job or will make very loud comments about the costumers with no shame what so ever the boss herself can come off a bet bratty and too full of herself theses lady's need to learn some manners read more

About 8 months ago I was super disappointed in my experience. Since then, I've been back in and every time everyone is super helpful and kind! This is the only store in Jackson that I shop at for my pet's needs. They have EVERYTHING you can think of! It seems like everytime I've gone in lately they haven't had pretty common items that I need, so I end up ordering them online cheaper than I can buy them here. So I've stopped going in and wasting my time. On top of that, there's one middle aged lady with a huge toothy smile who is the most passive aggressive person on the planet. I love the ladies of PPP! They are super helpful, and they adore and are very knowledgeable about animals. They have made special dogfood orders for me on a number of occasions and always have great advice on how to address all sorts of pet issues, from behavioral problems to food choices. I love this pet shop! Every time we walk in, we are always greeted and someone is always ready to help us find what we need. Owning a bearded dragon, they don't always have what we need because of short demand but they will always offer to order it and have it to their store within the week! When we have questions they always have great advice and will do their best to help us! In recent years I have started feeding my dog higher quality food than that which you can get at the grocery store. I like to shop local rather than buy online, and since that time I have been shopping around Jackson for the best price on high quality food. I am happy to report that this is the place! Not only do they have the most reasonable price on food, but they have the best selection of pet supplies, like toys, treats, collars, and cold weather necessities. I've been coming in every few months for the last couple of years. The selection of treats, toys and food for both my cats and my dogs is very impressive, if somewhat over priced. Despite the prices I always come back because my dogs are always so excited that they get to go in. For as long as I can remember there's been this older lady (an owner or a manager, I assume) who's been terribly unfriendly to me. For the longest time I thought that maybe she just didn't like my enthusiasm when I came in... until I mentioned it in passing to a few acquaintances. Everyone involved in the conversation has had a similar experience EVERTIME they've gone in. The last time was the final straw. I walked in, and I saw this same lady in the office (talking to herself?) She made eye contact with me but didn't even acknowledge my presence in the business. After perusing for about 15 minutes I went back up front where she was copping an major attitude and berating another employee in front of me over what seemed like an insignificant mistake. It was as if she were intentionally shaming him in front of an audience (me). It was exceedingly uncomfortable and i was shocked that anyone would treat a Co worker or employee so poorly. 5 stars for selection, zero stars for this lady's unwavering bad attitude. read more
