They NEGLECTED MY BABY!!! I had to go out of state and I brought my dog here after she had surgery to remove a fibroma from her leg. So she was being boarded with sutures in her leg. I called everyday except for one to check on her and every time I was told "she's fine, she's sleeping." My grandfather had to pick her up on my return date because my flight came in later than the pick up time. When I got to my grandfathers there was my baby!! Immediately after giving her loves I check her suture site to make sure it looked good and her sutures were gone! I immediately called them even though it was after hours to let them know and to inquire why no one noticed this or informed me of this. I received a call the next morning from Tiffany stating that she had gotten ahold of Dr Mitch and that as long as the site looked good, it was ok. NO. It's not ok that my baby was in your care for 5 days and not ONE PERSON EVEN LOOKED AT HER SUTURES TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE OK!! I went in to talk to a manager and talked to the lead Tiffany. I was treated as though it was no big deal and she even went as far as to suggest the stitches came out in my care that first evening my baby was home. Even though I called the day of her pick up in between 6-7pm stating that Lucy's stitches were out. Not only were they out but according to the vet tech in my family who looked at Lucy's leg, they had been out for at least 2 days minimum (she could tell by the scabbing). So since I felt obviously this situation was not being solved by Tiffany I asked for the manager Meagan to call me. I waited almost 2 weeks and received no phone call. So I call her and she says she had been waiting for me to call her. Really? You're the manager of this business and there is an issue and instead of calling me as I was told she would, she was waiting for me to call her. WOW. So I talk to her and nothing has been resolved, no apology no acknowledgment of their wrong doing. INSTEAD I am being treated as if this is somehow my fault. I did make a mistake and told them I took Lucy to a vet to have her site looked at the evening she was picked her up, instead of telling the truth that my aunt who is a vet tech for a pet hospital in Chico is the one who looked at her site. I lied because I felt backed into a corner, like if you don't have documented proof from a vet we STILL WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS HAPPENED AT OUR FACILITY. Also my baby had wounds on her face, probably from trying to get around the cone she wore that was supposed to keep her from getting her stitches out. Which ALSO NO ONE NOTICED OR MENTIONED TO ME. I understand things happen and that even though precautions were taken to keep Lucy from getting her stitches out she was able to get them out. My issue is that NOT ONE PERSON NOTICED AND NO ONE IS ACTING LIKE IT EVEN MATTERS! They take your dog to the bathroom 3 times a day. NOT ONCE in those 3 times a day did anyone EVEN LOOK at her suture site. Thank God it did not get infected and that Lucy is just fine. I typically don't board my dog, I have family more than willing to watch her (she's a precious little angel) but because of the fact that she just had surgery and had stitches, I didn't want to put that responsibility on them. So I took her where I thought she would be safe and well looked after. It was traumatic for both of us, I was bawling like a baby when I dropped her off. She is my baby and has been for the past 10 years. The last thing I expected was for her to be neglected and then to be treated as if it's no big deal or as if I have done something wrong. I will never bring her back there and I will tell anyone who will listen my experience with this Pet Bed and Breakfast. She was not looked after properly and she was for the worse when I picked her up, not the better! read more
