Please read this before bringing your dog there!!!!! I used to bring in my dog to pet vacations every time I needed my dog to be watched and I never have had an experience like this. I boarded my dog because I had to go out of state for a family emergency and when I got back I picked up my dog. I had noticed something on her face but thought it was dirt and honestly forgot about it. The next day I look at my dogs face again but closer and I see a tick. I then checked her and found 2 more (my friend ended up telling me to take a picture so I ran to grab my phone and take a picture so I only got a picture of one of the three ticks) I called as soon as they opened and the lady sat on the phone insisting there is no possible way that my dog could've got it from them, but my dog is in inside dog and I explained that to them. The whole time i'm trying to talk one of the ladies on the phone she is unbelievably rude I was genuinely shocked. I tried to tell the lady on the phone there was no possible way my dog got the ticks from my house and she told me there was nothing they were willing to do about it and that they are sure my dog didn't get ticks from them. So in the end I paid not only for those people to watch my dog and end up giving her ticks but for her vet bill the next day too! I will NEVER bring my dog here again and I would recommend if you're reading this you don't either! read more

My family and I went to recreational camping area near by we were about 3 hours away from home. Upon our arrival we were told there was no pets allowed what so ever and we were told to take our dog elsewhere, I was devastated and did not want my puppy being anywhere else but with us But I couldn't cancel on family so I looked up places and found this place And we were able to get him in last minute. When we arrived I warned Lindsey we have not been away from our baby boy and I was probably going to bug her to check on him, Lindsey was understanding and gave me a tour and lots of reassurance so we trusted her to keep our pup happy. Without asking Lindsey sent us pics of our pup playing with the other dogs having so much fun and it made me enjoy our trip without worrying. Our local kennels in the Bay Area were full, so I looked for a kennel closer to where we were camping. I'm delighted that I found Pet Vacations. Our Chocolate Lab was the happiest she's ever been when we picked her up from a kennel. Staff reported that she connected with a couple other female borders. I should have asked to see the kennel area to be able to report on it. Can heartily recommend Pet Vacations and will use them again if we're in the area. read more

They have completely revamped this facility. I was amazed and pleased and my dog,Collin, thought it was fantastic. He loved the new"grass" area and the pond! There is now a groomer, who is training in Los Angeles. My boy loved his bath and considering I or my husband have been the only people who have ever bathed him, this is saying a lot. PET VACATIONS has always been our favorite......but now, even better.YES!! :-) The owner is a trained Vet Tech and this only makes us more comfortable with leaving our boy in her care. She is very particular who works for her and now partnering with a soon-to-be Master Groomer makes this place ideal. My boyfriend Greg and I needed a spot to bring our two Boston Terriers while we vacationed in Arnold. Greg found this place on Yelp and spoke to a woman on the phone and he seemed really pleased and thought we'd give it a shot. We were quoted $25 a day one dog $45 a day for two dogs which is a great price compared to what we're used to. I scoped them out on Yelp. Saw great reviews but no photos. But we looked forward to trying a new place. We pulled up and the dogs all came outside of their dog runs and started barking away. Greg told me that the woman on the phone said when you pull up all the dogs start barking. That didn't disappoint. We rang the door bell but someone came up right away. I didn't catch her name but she approached the dogs in a polite way, allowing them to smell her and get comfortable. She happily let us in to the little building. We exchanged food, vaccination paperwork, and such. She seemed comfortable and handled all of our dogs needs. We did not bring a bed or pillow so she said she'd put a towel down for them for at night. I asked if the dogs stay out all night and she said no. She said she closes the doors and all the dogs sleep inside. So off we went! We called to check on them and learned the boys had a new girlfriend Bailey that they had taken a liking to. She was a beautiful Frenchie we saw dropping them off. -- We called to let them know we were on our way to pick up our boys. The same woman greeted us. She took out payment and gathered the boys. The boys seem to really like her since she knelt down and let them give her goodbye kisses. All around the dogs were pooped on the way home. It could've been from all the barking and fun with the other dogs. But our dogs were healthy and we appreciate that. We would definitely leave our boys there again when we vacation in the same area. Can't say enough good things about Lindsay and crew. The kennels are always clean. My dog comes back clean, tired, and happy. My dog is usually a little clingy when I drop him off at other kennels. As soon as we turn onto the road to the Pet Vacations, my dogs starts the "drive faster" bark. He greets Lindsay very happily and doesn't even look back at me when Lindsay opens the back door to the kennel and play area. Love Lindsay and so did our babies...all four Frenchies! I should have written this review months ago but never got around to doing it due to a family illness. Our Frenchies had never been out of our back yard and are spoiled rotten. Mom and Dad and brother and sister were going on a vacation without us! She definitely had her hands full with this crew! We had several Dr. appointments at Stanford and really couldn't give her a time as to when we would be returning. She assured us that they are in excellent care and give her a call whenever we felt the need...at any time! They spent 5-6 days and when we arrived to pick them up...ugh! They were happy to see us but kept trying to go back through the kennel door! They all had baths and smelt wonderful, their coats were so soft! We're ready to return to Stanford and it's time for them to have another vacation! We had no worries leaving our dog for the first time in such loving and capable hands! Scout ran in and didn't even look back at us. Pet Vacations is the only place I will take my dog. He gets excited as soon as I turn down the road to the kennel. I started taking my pets there about 20 years ago where Lindsay spoiled my dog rotten buying a pool for him to play in, had to buy one for him when I got home. I know take my Cavalier there and he comes home completed exhausted from playing with all his buddies there.
