We comb him regularly at home, but had waited two months to take him to the groomer since we have had cold weather. The woman said that if he was very tangled, she was going to cut him short. What a surprise when my daughter picked him up. He's been shaved! All his beautiful curls are gone and on top of everything they the lady did not even comb his ears all the way. Things have been crazy as of late due to being in the midst of a move and staying somewhere in the…read moreinterim with three animals. My goal, before moving the animals to the temp place, was to get baths and grooming done for both dogs and the cat. Family members have been taking their pets to this store for quite some time, and with a last minute groom on the horizon, I knew that I wasn't going to be able to get a free spot for one, let alone three, at Bark. I think things worked out well with timing because I took all three down on Monday morning at 10. Who else thinks about getting their animals groomed on a Monday morning? All three went in with no problem, even the cat, and I was called about 2 1/2 hours later to pick them up. The cat, who was my biggest worry, was absolutely great according to the groomers and smelled like a candle. The dogs were smelling great too, but my only concern is that they basically shaved my long haired dog completely bald. I have never seen him shaved that close in all the times that I've been taking him to be groomed at different places. When I say he was almost bald, I was concerned about him getting sunburned, that's how short it was. It will be quite awhile before he is due for a cut again and if I take him there again, I will have to specify to not shave him bald. Although, you'd think that an experienced groomer wouldn't cut that close.

Two of the brands that I buy, based on their "preferences" go as follows: Earthborn Holistic (Grain Free): Favorite flavors seem to be the Chicken Fricassee (Chicken with Vegetables in Gravy) and the Monterey Medley (Skipjack Tuna and Grilled Mackerel with Vegetables). My 3 cats are much like bratty children...each must get an EQUAL portion of food or it's anarchy. So if I mention a kitchen scale purchase in a future review, you know what its for. Perform Ultra (Grain free): Favorite flavors are the Salmon Bisque and Chicken Stew. Whenever I feed my cats, I feel as if I should be wearing an apron and checking back to see "if everything is tasting ok." Any attempts that I've made to change it up and sneak in a can of Friskies has resulted in looks of contempt and the silent treatment from all. I can't recall the cost of each brand, because the more I see the price, the more I'm convinced that my cats eat better than I do. Pet Supermarket is conveniently located close to home, and is always well-stocked and clutter-free, making it all the more easier to be the "humble servant" that I am.
