This was a horrible experience. I had placed a bird on a payment plan. My 10 year old daughter had bonded with a selected bird and we were told we could pay a portion down and she could come in every day until we paid off the bird. We did this for 2 days. On the third business day, the bird we placed on hold was gone. The lady there kept insisting the bird must have gotten out and stated they would try to find it and call me back. We eventually left the store, defeated, with my daughter in tears and heartbroken. I never heard back that evening and had to call back the next day. They informed me that the bird had been sold to someone else, despite it being on hold. I repeatedly asked to speak to the store owner as this was unprecedented and I have yet to receive a call from her. The lady that was "helping" was clearly not prepared for this situation and could not help. We personally went back on Tuesday and noticed the owner was in the back. She refused to talk to us. This was the last straw. How can you run a business and not talk to your customers? Despite the circumstances, I was not irate. I was trying to get the issue resolved. The lady at the desk was actually argumentative and defensive. She claimed she did nothing wrong. The store owner remained in the back, avoiding any confrontation. This business failed to address the issue professionally or even offer us a genuine apology. Resigned to the fact that the owner wouldn't engage with us, I asked for a refund of our initial payment. I have worked Customer Service my whole life and this was the most unprofessional experience of my life. My poor daughter caught in the crosshairs of it all. There was no effort to make it better. I had to ask and probe every step of the way. It is unfair they get away with treating people this way when a hard working consumer was trying to support their business in good faith. Leaving empty-handed was a bitter end to a situation that should have been easily resolved. As we walked out, I couldn't help but feel a mix of disappointment and frustration. read more

I recently purchased both a baby macaw, a baby cockatoo, and two cages plus supplies from Pet Creations. The store was informative, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in all aspects of my purchase helping me feel like I was fully prepared in bringing both the birds and supplies home. This also included the information on where to follow up to determine the sex of my birds. You are unable to determine the sex of these majestic birds without having bloodwork done. The staff have always gone above and beyond to help me and my other family members during their purchases. They are closed on Sundays, but they allowed me to come in and helped me learn how to hand-feed my birds and start the bonding process. While I was there spending time with my birds, I witnessed firsthand how both the staff and owner sanitized everything in the store. they wiped down ALL the merchandise in the store, and the walls inside their baby bird sanctuary and outside in the store area as well. I, along with many other customers, can call or text, at any time during the day or night, with questions or concerns for mine or their birds, and the owner will contact them right away to help them through anything. If anyone wants to give anything other than a 5-star rating to this store, it is only because you haven't done your homework on what it takes to give the quality of care that is given by each individual within this store. It isn't about that you had to wait a few extra minutes because they are running around helping others. Because I assure you that when it is your turn, they want to know that they've met 150% of your needs and goals without the feeling of being rushed. read more

My uncle has been coming here for years. I just moved to Jacksonville a few months ago and I was looking for a place to shop for my 6 year old Siberian Husky (pic attached for cuteness.) After hearing all the great things he had to say, we decided to go over one day when she wouldn't take to her food (Rachel Ray) and was having tummy issues. Upon walking in I knew I was going to love the place. There were so many animals to look at and hold and I even had a conversation with a bird. Yes. Me and a bird became friends just like that. Her name is Lilly and she will literally snuggle you if you pet her. I have never met a bird quite like this one. Its obvious her owners show her a LOT of love. I got some dog shampoo, flea and tick spray, dog food and some treats. As soon as I put the food in her bowl she finished it immediately and was looking at me for seconds. Within just a day or to her digestion was much better and she was a happy girl again. This will definitely be my go to place for any and all my pet needs! read more

I'm very impressed with Pet Creations and believe this to be the best pet store in town. During a recent visit my wife and I decided to purchase a Umbrella Cockatoo. We go by daily to visit Lilly until she is ready to come home. While I'm here I've noticed that Kim and her staff go out of their way to make each and every person that walks through that door feel like family and not just another customer. The love and dedication that Kim personally gives each and every one of her animals is very commendable. We've also purchased a salt water tank and Brandon has been very informative and taken the time to fully explain what we need to do to properly setup this tank. Just took my baby Romeo here for the $30 wash, nail trim, etc and they took excellent care of him. He doesn't like being away from me and it was my first time bringing him here so I was a little nervous of how he would react. The store is a cute little pet store that I will definitely come back to because I saw some cute dog bowls. I dropped him off at 10am as a walk in and he was taken back immediately. I let them know he had sensitive skin and they said their shampoo is good for sensitive skin so yay! I got the call at about 12:50 that he was ready. It seems a bit long but he smelled amazing afterwards so I knew the 3 hours was spent nicely. They did call and say he wouldn't let them cut his nails which I kind of saw coming but when I got there and he saw me he let them and they were so nice about it. He's a nervous dog around strangers but they understood and took great care of him. I will definitely come back! And mind, if you are paying with a card there is a $1 fee but I didn't mind. read more

I would NEVER return here again. They forgot to groom him, which made me question everything else. I also texted and called 2x the Owner that I was on my way, and provided no response to let me know of the current circumstance (that the bird was neglected). Instead, she ignored my calls and never texted back. It makes one question, while I was out of the country for 10 days, I wonder if they even took care of this poor bird! He was starving for attention when I received him. The Owner says otherwise. She also claimed she was in touch with me for the past 11 days, which is NOT even true. I have documented 2 days of text messages of the 11 days. To top it off, they overcharged me. Very irresponsible. I would NOT recommend bringing you pet here for any sort of boarding. Calling me to try to "make things right" after the fact does not count when you have nothing else to offer but excuses. The first time I went every employee was rushing around like crazy. I was there for good 15 minutes before someone said anything. I've been three times and its pretty much the same every time. Who knew they were also a feed store? Well, they are! Our backyard hens will only at Central States Layers Chicken Feed, and Pet Creations has it! That, and the pine having bedding material, scratch (also Central States) and oyster shells, cracked corn, and other treats. The staff loads it in my car while I wait to pay, and they are all very friendly. No more Tractor Supply for me, this gem is great! read more
