Fish Ceviche - 10/10 EXCELLENT!
Ryan G.

Food was 10/10 amazing. The Lomo Saltado did not make it to the picture cause it was devoured on arrival. It was bright, with a tomato forward flavorful sauce! Best Lomo Saltado I have ever tasted to be sure. 10/10 would order again. The Fish Ceviche was perfectly acidic and well seasoned. It did not come with fried plantain chips or taro chips but they did have potato chips which worked well with the flavor of the fish. 10/10 would order again. This ceviche even rivals some of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in San Francisco! The service was top notch, and while working with a limited menu they definitely are putting out some great food! I will be telling my friends and family about this place. I will definitely be coming back!

The desert display fridge looked horrible. not appetizing AT ALL

The place looked nasty. Very disorganized and unhygienic. They need to get a food inspection done ASAP.

a plate of rice, meat, and vegetables

Unfortunately I have to give you 2 stars. the first time I had your food was in person, This time i ordered from doordash and let me tell you.. i was very disappointed! The rice had no salt, garlic or any flavor to be honest, other than a soapy taste. The lomo saltado was drained! Like not a drop of juice, how is that possible?!?!?! Now, i did order through doordash so maybe it sat way too long before it was delivered? Pan con chicharrón was very soggy( maybe that's were the lomo juice went) . I hope you understand this is not me trying to bash you if anything I want you guys to succeed so i don't have to drive for an hour for some good food. I will try it again soon and i hope the food quality improves. Wishing you nothing but the best.

This place is a hidden gem. The food reminded me of flavors from my childhood plus new fusion flavors. It was so delicious! We ordered a ceviche which we devoured so fast we didn't stop to take a photo. The Anticucho tacos were amazing. I don't know how nobody thought about that before. Genius. The plate comes with 3 tacos which my husband loved so much that one didn't make it in the photo. The owner was very nice and welcoming. We will definitely come back.

I have ordered several times from this place and I have been disappointed each time. The first ceviche I got had no canchita or choclo. ‍ The lomo saltado they gave was tasteless and tasted like carne con chile rojo, same thing with their anticuchos. I decided to post a review this time because the Anticuchos look like carne con chile rojo, it's tasteless in flavor. The ceviche's fish is not fresh, as you can see in the picture it's over cooked like if it were Regular ceviche without canchita or choclo. The one time that their ceviche was given con canchita and choclo, it smelled like if they just separated the fish from a Ceviche mixto. It had the smell of a Ceviche mixto that had been left out, re-refrigerated and then sold. I will not be ordering from them anymore. It's a hit and miss.. Sad because their portions and prices are reasonable, main reason they got 1 star. If you look at another guys ceviche you can see the difference that I was talking about. I got old ceviche

Hotdog and salchipapas with an inca kola

So happy with my order. Delicious! I'll definitely be back It's nice and clean with great service

I'm so glad we have a Chinese duck and pool roast eatery here in the area. Most of these places are…read moretough to find; either in Chinatowns in major city hubs or a primarily heavy Asian-influenced town. I came here yesterday during opening and there was already a long line of people waiting for their orders. I think they can hire a few more people to speed things up in the back kitchen. I ordered their roast pork belly with rice which was really good. Expect that traditional 5-spice flavor that's mainly used in Chinese roast pork. They give a generous amount too which is nice. I also enjoyed the ginger sauce it came with. I thought this paired better than the black sweet sauce they provide. Typically I like my pork belly thoroughly cooked but this is a different style and I still enjoyed it. It's worth $15! I want to come back to try their duck next!

I'm very impressed with their authentic chinese bbq. I got the Roast Duck, Haianese Chicken, and…read moreCrispy Pork Belly. This is definitely on par with Oakland & SF Chinatown. Reasonably price. Honestly, the pork belly is the star and could be the best I've had in a long time considering I still live and grew up in Oakland. At other chinese bbq spots the skin to me is usually very crunchy and chewy. But Roast Eatery pork belly skin is so light and crispy, that after a few bites the tender meat and fat slowly melts in your mouth making it very enjoyable. The sweet sauce with the pork belly is new to me. it's interesting but i prefer eating it with the ginger scallion because it helps cut the richness from the pork belly. The Haianese Chicken is exceptional. Cooked perfectly to tendernism. Anyone new to chinese bbq and wondering why the chopped chicken bone is still red or pink, that's called myoglobin so don't worry it's already cooked and means that it's perfectly gently poached. Of course, always take caution, ask questions and do a little research. If you're afraid, just eat around it, but this will probably be the best and healthiest way to eat chicken if you're on a diet. Roast Duck was flavorful, tender and nicely roasted. Definitely your go to local spot if you're in the East County (Oakley, Brentwood, or Antioch). It's also on par with local favorite spots in Oakland Chinatown like Gold Medal. Service is very straight forward and quick to order. The staff are friendly. Got our order in less than 10 minutes. Overall, I will be coming here more frequently for my chinese bbq fix and quick healthy lunch. They also own the dim sum bakery next door and it's definitely a hit too!

First thing... you order from a kiosk when you walk in. Kinda cute honestly. The spot is small but they have TVs going and little Connect Four games on the tables so it has a fun vibe. Nicole was working and she was genuinely warm and welcoming. Not that fake "hi welcome in" energy . She actually made you feel like you were supposed to be there. I did my research before going so we passed on the catfish (the reviews on that were not it). Instead I got the Large Garlic Noodles, Chicken & Sausage Rasta Pasta, and the Crawfish & Sausage Mac N Cheese. All three were hitting. Like actually good, not just hype good. After the food came I decided to try the watermelon lemonade and that was a solid decision. Not too sweet, really refreshing. For dessert we grabbed the Peach Cobbler out of the display case. It came in a little tin that it was made in, and it was slightly dry, but the flavor was there. Tasty, just needs some work. Came out to $70.25 total which honestly felt right for what we got. We will be back to try more stuff for sure. Maybe the protein items next time.
