Fish Ceviche - 10/10 EXCELLENT!
Ryan G.

Food was 10/10 amazing. The Lomo Saltado did not make it to the picture cause it was devoured on arrival. It was bright, with a tomato forward flavorful sauce! Best Lomo Saltado I have ever tasted to be sure. 10/10 would order again. The Fish Ceviche was perfectly acidic and well seasoned. It did not come with fried plantain chips or taro chips but they did have potato chips which worked well with the flavor of the fish. 10/10 would order again. This ceviche even rivals some of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in San Francisco! The service was top notch, and while working with a limited menu they definitely are putting out some great food! I will be telling my friends and family about this place. I will definitely be coming back!

The desert display fridge looked horrible. not appetizing AT ALL

The place looked nasty. Very disorganized and unhygienic. They need to get a food inspection done ASAP.

a plate of rice, meat, and vegetables

Unfortunately I have to give you 2 stars. the first time I had your food was in person, This time i ordered from doordash and let me tell you.. i was very disappointed! The rice had no salt, garlic or any flavor to be honest, other than a soapy taste. The lomo saltado was drained! Like not a drop of juice, how is that possible?!?!?! Now, i did order through doordash so maybe it sat way too long before it was delivered? Pan con chicharrón was very soggy( maybe that's were the lomo juice went) . I hope you understand this is not me trying to bash you if anything I want you guys to succeed so i don't have to drive for an hour for some good food. I will try it again soon and i hope the food quality improves. Wishing you nothing but the best.

This place is a hidden gem. The food reminded me of flavors from my childhood plus new fusion flavors. It was so delicious! We ordered a ceviche which we devoured so fast we didn't stop to take a photo. The Anticucho tacos were amazing. I don't know how nobody thought about that before. Genius. The plate comes with 3 tacos which my husband loved so much that one didn't make it in the photo. The owner was very nice and welcoming. We will definitely come back.

I have ordered several times from this place and I have been disappointed each time. The first ceviche I got had no canchita or choclo. ‍ The lomo saltado they gave was tasteless and tasted like carne con chile rojo, same thing with their anticuchos. I decided to post a review this time because the Anticuchos look like carne con chile rojo, it's tasteless in flavor. The ceviche's fish is not fresh, as you can see in the picture it's over cooked like if it were Regular ceviche without canchita or choclo. The one time that their ceviche was given con canchita and choclo, it smelled like if they just separated the fish from a Ceviche mixto. It had the smell of a Ceviche mixto that had been left out, re-refrigerated and then sold. I will not be ordering from them anymore. It's a hit and miss.. Sad because their portions and prices are reasonable, main reason they got 1 star. If you look at another guys ceviche you can see the difference that I was talking about. I got old ceviche

Hotdog and salchipapas with an inca kola

So happy with my order. Delicious! I'll definitely be back It's nice and clean with great service

Despite having TVs visible in the restaurant, Parada Walnut Creek does not show live sports at all. If you come in hoping to enjoy a game while eating or having drinks, don't bother. The TVs are either off or showing non sports programming, even during major sporting events. This is especially disappointing considering the bar seating and layout suggest that watching a game would be an option. What makes this worse is that the Lafayette location (Barranco) DOES show sports on their TVs, creating a confusing and inconsistent customer experience across the brand. Same ownership, similar cuisine, but completely different policies. If Lafayette can balance food and sports viewing, there's no good reason Walnut Creek can't. At a minimum, this should be clearly communicated. Instead, customers are left guessing--or worse, finding out after they've already ordered. Not everyone wants a "quiet, curated dining experience" all the time, and having TVs but refusing to use them for sports just feels out of touch. If you're looking for great Peruvian food and want to watch a game, go to Lafayette. If you're at Parada Walnut Creek, leave your sports expectations at the door.

However, My friend said he thought Parada was better than Limon in Walnut Creek for Peruvian food. So I figured I'd give it a shot and try something new. The ambiance was nice and there was live music being played on a Friday night. We were able to get seated without a reservation. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food wasn't amazing but not really bad either. The empanadas were really good and the corn was good too. In my opinion it's not a good value for what you get here. It was pretty pricey but the portions were very small for $18 to $25 per item. In my opinion they should consider bigger portions to provide a better value for customers. Ultimately, I think it's definitely worth trying. I'm sure there are lots of people that would love this place. It just wasn't a great place for me.

If you are looking for superb food, fantastic ambiance, and the most friendly service you will ever encounter, you will love this place. As a Peruvian who cooks this food at home, I can say confidently: this restaurant doesn't deliver authentic Peruvian cuisine, and the prices don't justify the quality. We ordered the ceviche, which lacked the brightness and flavor it should have. The seco was worse...you can taste when someone hasn't actually made this dish before or even tried it themselves. The adobo tasted more like mole than traditional Peruvian seasoning. Across every dish, the flavors felt off, overseasoned or just plain confused, the sarsa de cebolla had cilantro! It's supposed to be mint! ‍. I've tried several Peruvian restaurants around the Bay, and this isn't competing. The reviews are mostly five stars, but I suspect that's from people 1000% unfamiliar with what real Peruvian food tastes like. If you've had it done right, you'll notice immediately here. The one bright spot: service was genuinely excellent. The staff was warm, attentive, and made the experience pleasant. That's the only reason this didn't feel like a complete waste. Save your money and your time.

I loved the jerk pork tacos! The pork was juicy, tender, and aromatic, and the mango-papaya salsa added a refreshing sweetness. I also tried the paella Oyo that my sister ordered which was sooo yummy and full of protein. The small size was more than enough! My mom ordered the oxtail stew which wasn't on their brunch/lunch menu (dinner only), but I really appreciate that they were accommodating to make that dish for her. I've never had oxtail and it was delicious--tender, perfectly sweet and savory, and paired well with the plantains. The other dishes that my family ordered were hits too (jerk pork shoulder and seafood paella). We also tried the ripe plantains pancake Oscar for a sweet treat. I love anything marshmallow, so the brûléed marshmallow cream that blanketed the pancakes was heavenly. It also came with a plantain on top and a few other fruits to balance out the sweetness. Overall, we left full and all around very satisfied. The staff showed us such warm hospitality and came around often to check on us, despite being an almost packed house. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere had a fun lively energy. With indoor and outdoor seating options, anywhere you get seated is a nice spot. Can't wait to visit again to try their dinner menu items and drinks, and hopefully catch some live music!
