While I go to another big box gym to spend time with my husband, honestly this could be my only gym. I always do one of the 8 isometric classes and then one of the 3 HIIT classes. Often, I'll use the free weights, kettlebells, TRX straps, and exercise balls in the back (unheated), but I get a great workout in a short period of time. I was curious about the advantages of 3D training (infrared, heat and exercise) and was fascinated by the research in the book written by the founder. Lots of benefits beyond fitness for your health. Highly recommend it for all fitness levels as you can modify as needed. You will get more flexible and stronger too.

I had never done any of these three activities, but a friend recommended it and I'm glad that I took her up on the recommendation. The float was really interesting. Not quite sensory deprivation, but close. I'm not one that can usually be still for more than 5 minutes, but the hour that I was in that water zipped by - I was completely relaxed and felt fully rejuvenated when it was over. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I wouldn't enjoy it in a public setting, but it's completely private (as is the sauna!). The staff there were all very knowledgeable and friendly and the place was immaculately clean. Great feel/vibe to the entire place, prices are very reasonable.

They also called me to "schedule" an appointment the 2nd time because apparently their system had a glitch and I wasn't on the schedule and the motors for the floats were down. Anyways I finally arrive for my appt on Saturday and I have never felt so UNDERVALUED. No one welcomed me at all once the girl came back from the back with a customer. She did tell the man she was with that shes new.. ok we've all been there l. But out comes one of the employees who does botox from the back to find me on the schedule and I wasn't there for Saturday but I was there for Sunday. Once I asked if i can schedule for today cause Sunday i won't be able to she shrugged and said sorry all booked, give me a bitter look and chuckled. I told her I was gonna be out of town and the look she gave me was like well that's not my problem. Since she didnt ask if I could reschedule all she did was stare I started soooo can I reschedule? It won't be till a month later. She stood up and had the receptionist take over. Definitely lack etiquette on her part. Made me feel unwelcome, unvalued and actually unwanted there. The water temperature maybe a tad bit cold for some folks, but is an appropriate degree for the majority. (Even I get a little cold sometimes.) The lifeguards are outstanding. They have always been atentative and happy to have helped me in a very professional manner. They always enforce the rules and seem to have a great attitude. The pool is available for open swim for majority of the time and the staff explains everything if an area is closed. The front desk staff is very nice and understanding of all questions or concerns, promptly addressing them. I have had nothing but good experiences here, and my family will be coming back for a long time.

Overall this was a great party and I know this rec center offers so much more - basketball courts, swim lessons, a gym, and more.
