Sadly this is one of those forgotten about cemeteries that have been completely engulfed by nature. It is located just off FM 1704 and a 100 yards away from the McShan cemetery. There are about four graves just a few feet from Beaver Road and a few more fenced in headstones are located another 200 feet beyond them. The graves within the fenced in area are from the early 20th century. All but 6 of the graves have since toppled over. This is most likely another graveyard of African descent due to all of the African white irises planted in the area. The fenced in graves located out of view from the road date from the late 1800s to around 1930. It would be great if this cemetery could be reclaimed from the ravages of nature and it's headstones restored to the original positions. Hopefully the photos below might inspire that endeavor. read more
