Massage short version: Angie New is amazing. Book an appointment…read more Facial short version: Delaney Banfield gave me a wonderfully relaxing, personalized facial. Book one--you'll be glad you did. Longer version, for anyone who wants to know why: **MASSAGE -- ANGIE NEW** I've been seeing Angie regularly for almost a year, and she has helped me through everything from stress-related tension and jaw pain to low back pain and issues related to hip rotation. What sets Angie apart is that she doesn't simply focus on where something hurts. She listens, asks questions, and tries to understand what may be contributing to the problem and how different areas of the body are working together. She also has an incredible range of techniques. My sessions have included therapeutic massage, hot stones, cupping, gua sha, myofascial and trigger point work, and even intraoral therapy for jaw tension. She draws from that knowledge to tailor each appointment to what I'm dealing with that day. And don't let that list intimidate you! You don't need to know what technique you need--or even exactly what's going on--before you walk through the door. Angie is incredibly approachable. Tell her what's bothering you and what you're comfortable with, and she'll guide you from there, always explaining what she recommends and why. After seeing her consistently for nearly a year, I trust both her knowledge and her ability to adapt each session to what my body needs. If you're dealing with chronic tension, pain, mobility issues, or something you haven't quite been able to figure out, I highly recommend her. **FACIAL -- DELANEY BANFIELD** I recently had a facial with Delaney, and from the beginning it felt personalized rather than one-size-fits-all. She asked about my skin concerns, sensitivities and allergies, how my skin normally feels, and my home skincare routine. Throughout the facial, she checked in to make sure my skin was comfortable with the products she was using. Delaney explained the products and techniques as she went, and we talked about things like exfoliation and hydration without it ever feeling like a sales pitch. There was absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. Her space is calm and relaxing, the hot towels felt heavenly, and the shoulder and arm massage was a wonderful addition. I left feeling thoroughly pampered, and my face was still noticeably soft and hydrated the next day. If you're new to facials, aren't sure what your skin needs, or just want some seriously relaxing self-care, I highly recommend booking with Delaney.

I would encourage others to consider other businesses for their wellness and health needs…read more My experience with Ace of Cups was deeply disappointing. I enrolled in a yoga training expecting a supportive, professional learning environment. Instead, I left feeling unheard and unsupported during one of the most difficult periods of my life, when I was caring for an infant and a young child while also grieving the loss of my adopted mother. Throughout the training, there were multiple occasions where it felt like students were left to fend for themselves instead of receiving the guidance and support I expected from a professional training program. One experience that particularly stood out was when we were told that the students needed to organize our own practice sessions together. There was no virtual option offered and no meaningful support or structure to help us study and practice as a group. I expected the instructors to facilitate more of the learning experience rather than placing that responsibility on the students. I was also told that I would receive a refund for the training. However, instead of receiving the support I had been led to expect, I experienced a phone conversation that left me feeling shamed and dismissed. During that conversation, I was told that I "needed state services," which I found hurtful and unrelated to the concerns I was raising. Rather than addressing my concerns about the training, I felt that my personal circumstances were used to undermine my perspective. I cannot recommend this business based on my experience. I believe wellness professionals should treat clients with compassion, respect, accountability, and professionalism, especially when concerns are raised. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
