I work a lot in the Bronx and while there are bodegas on every street corner (and "Kennedy Fried Chicken"-how hilarious is that?), the quality of food is always a big question, and when you need to get through a solid work day without issues from meals, then you go with local knowledge. That's how I found myself here. When the locals love it and frequent it, then you know it must be good. I've eaten lunch here three times and each one was solid. Once was a burger and fries, and solid at that. Another time was a grilled chicken salad and their Italian dressing was the perfect compliment to it. Finally, I love places that allow for the possibility of breakfast at any time of the day, and Symphony does, so that is a win! The Western Omelette was delicious and the home fries crispy on the outside, and steamy on the inside. Stopped by this morning for breakfast, it was pretty good. Had the breakfast special that included eggs, pancakes, and beef sausages. Liked it all. Pancakes were a little over cooked, but they weren't the worse pancakes I've had. I'll definitely come back soon to try something different. Today my boyfriend and I stopped in for the first time. The place is small but very cute music is nice jazz. The menu is very affordable. Sadly I won't be a returning customer. I recently ordered a grilled chicken "Greek" salad for lunch. The salad was slightly wilted and the tomatoes looked like beef chunks. The chicken was good although some pieces were hard and slightly under cooked. the cucumbers were soft, the olives were green and pitted. The grilled pita bread was the best!! I will say the person who took my order was very sweet as was the delivery man. I Love eating here...It's quaint, cozy, and the music is a mix of oldies, jazz, and other relaxing jams. I always order a grilled chicken burrito bowl with all the fixings, my side of avocado and lemon slices along with my green tea. I love the owners/waitresses and atmosphere here at Perry's Symphony Diner! My only drawback is that it closes early by 6pm. read more

I love this place I loved it from when it first open to its first owner to its new owners the lovely couple! They have spiced up the menu with some amazing Asian cuisine and I love that. It's very customer friendly and the entire staff aims to please. They even know me by name! I will not longer order or patronize this diner. This is a place I used to go to regularly for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast is actually very good even though they are a little on the pricey side for the neighborhood and type of dining experience. On Sunday 6/28 my husband ordered a breakfast special for delivery. This normally comes with a coffee or tea but the woman taking his order didn't mention it. When it was delivered it was missing any type of coffee or tea. When we called back she was absolutely disgusting and rude. Telling him it's his job to remember to ask for the coffee that COMES WITH the special and saying it's not her problem. This is the SAME waitress is always so nasty and unfriendly EVERY TIME we go eat there. I'm not sure what her problem is. The wait staff is just always so sour. Never a smile and rarely responds to good morning. Even so, we always tip well and kept coming back because we loved the breakfast. Well not any more. The manager seems pleasant enough so not sure what the issue here is. Get some new waitresses or teach them proper etiquette when dealing with customers, especially regulars! read more
