Hidden gem diner. In the heart of the Bronx is this beautiful street. We ordered the half n half lemonade iced tea. I got the morirsonando. Wow. It was creamy and sweet, hint of orange. Perfectly made as was the 50/50. The bacon egg cheese was illete. Basic n good. Nice roll. Crispy bacon. The fruit plate was a fresh and refreshing. Perfect for summer with the strawberry lemonade. OK so I ordered some food from the restaurant yesterday I asked for eggs over easy bacon home fries, my friend, ordered grits, sausage, corn beef hash, my eggs with popped. They was not running no more and there was no utensils now, so no papa no condiments nothing so disappointing. And everything look like it was just thrown inside the back. read more

Good place to drink coffee and have a simple meal. Food is not outstanding nor do the give big portions but it is edible. Wish portions were bigger for the price. Owner needs to be more generous with the portions so more people come in and also come back. Other than that, good strong coffee. Friendly staff. I work a lot in the Bronx and while there are bodegas on every street corner (and "Kennedy Fried Chicken"-how hilarious is that?), the quality of food is always a big question, and when you need to get through a solid work day without issues from meals, then you go with local knowledge. That's how I found myself here. When the locals love it and frequent it, then you know it must be good. I've eaten lunch here three times and each one was solid. Once was a burger and fries, and solid at that. Another time was a grilled chicken salad and their Italian dressing was the perfect compliment to it. Finally, I love places that allow for the possibility of breakfast at any time of the day, and Symphony does, so that is a win! The Western Omelette was delicious and the home fries crispy on the outside, and steamy on the inside. And, by the way, since you are in New York City, the prices are completely reasonable. read more

Don't be mislead like me...some of the yelp pics aren't from this restaurant; ( I came with my heart set on a breakfast with salmon cakes/croquettes, but they don't have them. Stopped by this morning for breakfast, it was pretty good. Had the breakfast special that included eggs, pancakes, and beef sausages. Liked it all. Pancakes were a little over cooked, but they weren't the worse pancakes I've had. I'll definitely come back soon to try something different. Today my boyfriend and I stopped in for the first time. The place is small but very cute music is nice jazz. The menu is very affordable. I had a hazelnut coffee and the combo with pancakes and turkey bacon and a side of hash browns. Food was good like a home cooked breakfast coffee was excellent! Overall nice little stop in diner . Sadly I won't be a returning customer. I recently ordered a grilled chicken "Greek" salad for lunch. The salad was slightly wilted and the tomatoes looked like beef chunks. The chicken was good although some pieces were hard and slightly under cooked. the cucumbers were soft, the olives were green and pitted. The grilled pita bread was the best!! I will say the person who took my order was very sweet as was the delivery man. Unfortunately I really wished I enjoyed my meal because working in this area we are challenged finding good eateries. read more

Soggiest home fries I have ever tried. Also Asked for whole wheat bread. I get white toast. I asked for scrambled eggs..i get some flat eggs that were supposed to be for an ommelete. I Love eating here...It's quaint, cozy, and the music is a mix of oldies, jazz, and other relaxing jams. I always order a grilled chicken burrito bowl with all the fixings, my side of avocado and lemon slices along with my green tea. I love the owners/waitresses and atmosphere here at Perry's Symphony Diner! My only drawback is that it closes early by 6pm. read more

This is my favorite diner for many reasons. The prices are cheap and the food is delish! Even the plates are beautiful and big. The booths are comfortable and I bring my friends and family here every time we want a home environment for breakfast. The mugs for hot Chocolate are the cutest. Pastries and brownies are moist and delicious. Even thought the place is kinda small it's nice inside and the staff is welcoming. The outside seating has a nice breeze and sunny. I love this place I loved it from when it first open to its first owner to its new owners the lovely couple! They have spiced up the menu with some amazing Asian cuisine and I love that. It's very customer friendly and the entire staff aims to please. They even know me by name! My favorite items include: my signature French toast with walnuts and bananas( which I'm about to order now!:) the burrito bowl or a plan burrito the bowl is edible yum and the onion rings are mmmm mmmm good. The best part of it all is their homemade lemonade. I am grateful for this company and I wish them prosperity and success for 10 more years and more read more

This is a cute place to eat considering the location in the Bronx. Not easy to find but the service is quick the food is good and it's a clean place to eat. I will say that they have the best pancakes in the Bronx that I have eaten. And it is around the corner from where I live. read more

Considering that the Bronx gets such a bad rap, I was so happy we had an amazing hidden treasure. Perry's was an amazing dinner, now it's under new management. I must say they destroyed our pearl. The waitress are very rude & don't come to check if you're okay. The food isn't as good either, I will not recommend this place to anyone I know. We miss you Perry's!!!!! read more

I will not longer order or patronize this diner. This is a place I used to go to regularly for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast is actually very good even though they are a little on the pricey side for the neighborhood and type of dining experience. On Sunday 6/28 my husband ordered a breakfast special for delivery. This normally comes with a coffee or tea but the woman taking his order didn't mention it. When it was delivered it was missing any type of coffee or tea. When we called back she was absolutely disgusting and rude. Telling him it's his job to remember to ask for the coffee that COMES WITH the special and saying it's not her problem. This is the SAME waitress is always so nasty and unfriendly EVERY TIME we go eat there. I'm not sure what her problem is. The wait staff is just always so sour. Never a smile and rarely responds to good morning. Even so, we always tip well and kept coming back because we loved the breakfast. Well not any more. The manager seems pleasant enough so not sure what the issue here is. Get some new waitresses or teach them proper etiquette when dealing with customers, especially regulars! read more

The same can be applied to pancakes. When all is said and done, they will offer you a blow-pop lollipop. Overall 9.5/10 I will be back. I am unsure if they do reservations. Our drinks arrived promptly, I will say there was some inconsistency in how our drinks were mixed since one of the vanilla drinks was sweeter than the other but other than that all drinks were delicious. The food on both times that I've been here was delicious with everyone at the table enjoying their meal. I've yet to have a bad experience here. I would say if you are debating trying the restaurant, take the opportunity to as you won't be disappointed.

If you ask 10 people on Arthur Ave who makes the best Mozzarella around, and a good number of people are going to tell you it's Casa Della. It's delicious, creamy, flavorful...it's the kind of stuff that will have you standing in front of the establishment, Casa in hand (and mouth) without a care in the world, or whether or not people are staring at you while you scarf or down.
