In 2024 I went to the office for my appointment and was told it had been cancelled and they has called me to tell me that. They had never called and I showed them my phone with all my calls and there was nothing from them. Arrogantly, they told me I was wrong and they were right. Last year, I was having visual migraines and was told by my neurologist that I needed to see Dr. Lang, so I called to make an appointment. I was told I could not see him and would have to make an appointment with one of their optometrists, not what I needed to see. When I finally was able to see Dr. Lang on my scheduled appointment, I told him this story and he said it was totally unacceptable. Unfortunately, he has no understanding off what is going on in his front office. Finally, I have an appointment with Dr Lang in May of this year that I need to reschedule as I will not be in the state that month. I called to reschedule the appointment and they have told me that I cannot reschedule this appointment as he has no availability in any of his four offices for the remainder of the year. I asked if I could make an appointment early next year and was told that was not possible, yet my wife had an appointment with him this past week and they scheduled and appointment for her a year from now. . So I guess if you cannot make your scheduled appointment with this practice you can never get another appointment. This is not a way to run a doctors office and these people are as incompetent as any staff I have ever dealt with. Hopefully, Dr Lang can read this review and see what his front office staff is doing to his practice.

I went to all of my father's eye appointments and Dr Lang was always so kind and patient. He explained all of my father's problems and treatments so that we could understand. One thing that really stood out to me was that Dr Lang goes above and beyond for his patients. He saw my father on a weekend for a follow up when the office was closed because he felt it was urgent. I will never forget Dr Lang for his humanity, his kind and quiet demeanor. He is an angel sent from above. Thank you Dr Lang and I will definitely pay forward to my patients as a pediatric nurse.

This business is not BBB…read moreaccredited and it's not surprising why after my experience with them and after reading the BBB complaints. I had a disappointing and truly weird experience with this LASIK provider. The staff used high-pressure sales tactics, pushed a credit card I wasn't comfortable with, were wildly disorganized, and were unclear about scheduling and payment plans. The day of my surgery, they claimed I needed another eye exam--despite already having one during my initial consultation. They got me confused with another patient and the woman who worked there seemed like she was confused about everything happening around her. Wasn't feeling super confident at this point but I was already there and prepped. A minute before my surgery they suddenly decided I was no longer a LASIK candidate because of some major issue with my eye they doesn't seem to exist according my actual eye doctor and they didn't appear to see during my eye exam during the consultation. Weird? They recommended a different more expensive procedure instead. That was the final straw. I walked out and requested a refund for the deposit I already provided them. The overall experience was disorganized and sales-driven rather than patient-focused. I'm glad all of that happened actually because I didn't bother to look them up on BBB until after all this happened. Had I seen the BBB complaints before hand I would never have proceeded on the first place.

The Lasik Institute was very clean and the people were very nice. I called and have not received a return telephone call in regards to my concerns.

    I had a very disappointing experience at Advanced Eye Care Associates, and unfortunately this was…read morenot an isolated incident for my family. I originally went in for a scheduled appointment and was told at the front desk that my appointment had already been canceled. I had not canceled it, and I hadn't even opened the email they claimed was used to make changes. Despite explaining this calmly, the staff kept insisting that I must have canceled it without realizing. Instead of trying to figure out what went wrong or offering a solution, I felt like I was being blamed. The receptionist then called in a manager, Celeste, to assist. That interaction only made things worse. Her body language was dismissive, and her tone came across as rude rather than helpful. On top of that, the receptionist who initially helped me was laughing during the situation, which felt extremely disrespectful. I remained calm and respectful the entire time. What makes this more concerning is that a similar issue happened to my brother. He was also told his appointment had been canceled, and my dad described the staff as extremely rude during his experience as well. When the same situation happens more than once within the same family, it feels like there may be a bigger issue with either their scheduling system or how patients are treated. After this, I rescheduled my appointment. They told me I would receive two confirmation calls, and I specifically gave them my personal phone number instead of my parents' to avoid confusion. I asked what would happen if I couldn't pick up the confirmation call, since I hadn't even opened the previous email and didn't want my appointment to be canceled again. I also asked if I could simply confirm the appointment right then and there in person. I was told no. When I asked what would happen if I missed the call and whether it would be canceled, the staff member raised her voice and firmly said "NO! Just come in at 6:30," even though my appointment was scheduled for 6:40. She said I needed to come earlier because they had to dilate my eyes and they close early. The tone and raised voice were completely unnecessary. I was simply asking a question to avoid another misunderstanding. Scheduling issues can happen anywhere, but how staff handle them makes all the difference. Patients deserve to be treated with patience and respect, especially when they are trying to clarify policies and avoid confusion. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling unheard, frustrated, and disrespected. I hope this office seriously works on improving both their communication and their customer service.
