Completely misled me on my visit being centered around getting my teeth cleaners. Also didn't disclose that I'd be charged for my cleaning.

If I could give it 6 stars I would! I have been scared to death of dental work for YEARS. But I…read moreknew I eventually needed to go and get some long overdue work done. I researched and really liked the "feel" of Atlanta Dental Spa. Their "No Judgement" attitude is what I liked the most. I walked in the front door (BIG step) and Tiara took such great care of me. She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. I'll keep my mouth healthy at Atlanta Dental Spa-Highlands and Dr. Gandhi is my dental guy going forward! (Also thanks to Tiffany who helped answer my financial questions!)

Recently, I came in with a broken front tooth, and once again, Dr. Nia and his team were absolutely phenomenal. Dr. Nia is a wonderful, caring, and genuinely compassionate doctor. He takes his time, explains everything clearly, and always makes sure you feel comfortable and confident in the treatment plan. His kindness and expertise have kept me coming back for nearly two decades. His team is just as exceptional they work seamlessly together, creating an experience that is organized, supportive, and truly patient‑centered. From the moment you walk in, you feel cared for. I'm incredibly grateful for the level of care they provide. Dr. Nia and his team are the best, and I couldn't recommend them more highly!

This place is a COMPLETE scam!!!!!!!! DO NOT come here unless you want someone to take your money…read moreand provide no service. No communication from them either!!!! I got a regular 6 months cleaving scheduled and when I came in, they advised me a deeper cleaning- when I asked how much more it would cost with my insurance plan, they said it's $420 extra!!!!! I said I wasn't ready to pay and they just took me to another room where a lady started telling me how much money I'd have to be paying for a filling that doctor recommended. I was so confused and when I asked if I was still getting my cleaning that I came for and had PAID for at the front she looked at me like i was an idiot and said no. No explanation. So I just paid $58 for them to tell me I need to pay $420 extra to get a cleaning and that's it. This is insane. Also- I called them after I had left to ask for an itemized copy of my receipt or a receipt of some sort with a description of what I was charged for and they couldn't provide me with one. I only have an email saying they charged me with no explanation. Ridiculous.

My dentist is better than your dentist. I promise you. Dr. Meshkian is an absolutely incredible…read moredentist and has done amazing work for me. The practice also schedules "family appointments" for me so I can bring everyone in at once for our biannual check-ups. It saves me so much time and the appointments themselves are quick, yet very thorough. I have never been left in the waiting room for very long and the entire front office staff is so incredibly pleasant. Highly recommend this practice!

First red flag it took me contacting this office 6 times before I could get an appointment, 3 times…read moreI sent request through their website and 3 times I called. When I told them I made 5 prior attempts to make an appointment they just responded "oh". When I came in I was standing at the locked door at 8:55am for my 9am. I woman came up, I told her the door was locked, she said why is the door locked my appointment is at 9am. I said mine as well. 6 people entered when they unlocked the door, they were all checked in, except me. Understandable cause I was a new patient. They asked for my DL & insurance card, then told me there was a difference on my birthdate and if I didn't call and clear it up I would have to pay the full amount. So I called, I cleared it up, and when I told them someone in their office was also calling to verify. So I am thinking I am not paying the full amount after all that. The dentist repaired my chipped tooth, he was kind. When he took me to the desk to pay, she said $282. I was taken aback, I asked how much it was and how much the insurance paid for and she said it was $408 and the insurance pays for 80%??? $282 is 70% of $408??? Make it make sense, the math is not matching. Then I asked for some tooth floss. She told me the tooth floss was "on the other side" and they didn't have any. Then asked me if I wanted to get my teeth cleaned. I was like might as well if that is the only way I can get free tooth floss and I am already here. I asked how much the insurance paid for teeth cleaning. She said 100%. So go back and the assistant starts poking around at my gums, sticking me until it hurts, this happened at least 5xs. Then tells me I needed x-rays prior to the cleaning. They already took one x-ray of my chipped tooth. I was adamant that I didn't want any more x-rays. I have a broken wrist and I have been getting MRIs, X-rays, and CT scans over the past six weeks and I didn't want anymore radiation exposure. She was going on & on, about insurance needs x-rays and she can't clean my teeth without them. So she did 4 more. The dentist came in and was poking around my gums without hurting me one time. Then they said I needed a deep clean, and they needed more x-rays. I said NO! They didn't clean my teeth, they sent me back to the desk to make another appointment and I then asked again for the tooth floss, this time they went to the other side to get it. When I received my explanation of benefits from the insurance they only billed for $282, not $408. So I called yesterday at 12:48pm and spoke with Susana when I asked to speak with someone in financial. I was told I would get a refund check to pick up at the office when they get paid. During this call a person was rudely interrupting saying everything was explained to me about the billing at my appointment, which is a lie. She also said I didn't get my x-rays cause I didn't want to pay for them, also a lie. I kept asking who is that? Who is speaking? Susana was avoiding answering me, and finally said after me repeatedly asking who is that other person on the phone, she said the office manager. I said what is their name? She said Ariel. I told them I did not like her tone, and I hung up. Who puts someone talking about finances and billing on speaker phone? What kind of ignorant behavior is that from an "office manager"? I later got two missed calls from the office and a text saying they had a refund check for me. I feel bad for the dentist, because he was nice and polite, but he needs to hire a new office team, because they are unprofessional, unorganized, rude and ignorant. No one should have to put up with that. And what kind of place makes you pay full amount up front when they have already verified your insurance. WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER. Today I called them and asked to speak with the manager, Susana answered the phone again, said they were not available and mentioned the check. I asked for the manager to call me. Her response was "I don't know why, she is going to tell you the same thing." I said this is about the call yesterday and she says "that was the manager" as if she doesn't owe me an apology. I highly doubt anyone is going to follow up. Just rude!

I have used this dentist since switching from Modern Dental (faulty equipment resulted in my mouth…read moregetting burned and blistered). I would say that Dr Kearns is a proactive dentist and will work with you to get your mouth in the best shape possible. Some patients may like a dentist who is more reactive in nature (read: cheaper), however I prefer the former and Dr Kearns office has been a wonderful fit for me. In addition, the staff at the front desk as as well as the dental techs have all been professional and usually remember me (for better or for worse. muhahaha) I would totally recommend checking out this office.

I cannot recommend this dental practice. My first visit was a cleaning, and everything was fine…read moreuntil Dr. Kearns came back and told me I had three cavities. This was surprising to me as I have been receiving dental care every 6 months for my whole life and haven't had a cavity in 10+ years. My prior dentist was in my hometown and someone I had been going to since childhood and was very familiar with my teeth. Because we had a good relationship with this dentist, my mom even asked them what they thought and they warned that I should get a second opinion. However, I was scared of having cavities, so went ahead with the fillings on Dr. Kearns recommendation ($400+ out of pocket for a college student). I was also told to buy an expensive specialty toothpaste in the office that retailed for half the price on Amazon. Over the next several months, I had horrific, constant dental pain where the fillings were. I couldn't eat anything on one side of my mouth for months. After about two weeks of pain, I went in for a revision, which did not help. Only now 6 months later I am starting to be able to eat on the other side of my mouth. I should note that I had no dental pain in this region before despite the diagnosis of three cavities. I should have switched after this, but had scheduled a 6 month cleaning immediately after my first appointment which crept up on me, so decided to just go in and do the cleaning. When I arrived, the front desk told me I had a balance of $170 that they were about to send to collections. I had not received a single text, email, or physical mail notifying me of my balance. I was able to pay this balance, but knowing that they were happy to send this to collections and potentially impact my credit score without any notification is a disgrace. The cleaning itself was fine, but my hygienist told me Dr. Kearns was very busy and when she came to check me out she barely spoke a word to me, only rattling off dental jargon to the hygienist. I will not be returning to Intown Dental Center. I have never had anxiety related to the dentist until now. The poor bedside manner, weaponization of authority to overprescribe procedures/sell you things you don't need, shoddy fillings, and lack of billing transparency all made this a horrible experience.

I know that I am such a pain when it comes to dental work. My teeth are so sensitive to cold air,…read morewater, sweets that it makes it very difficult for a dentist to do any fillings, crowns etc. Today I had my first root canal ever. I remember as a little girl the pain my mom spoke about when she had one (40 years ago). With that memory a root canal has always been my biggest dental fear. This morning I had a check up and was told I needed an emergent root canal. The doctor recommended having it completed today rather than my next availability in 2 weeks. In addition to sensitivity I am very difficult to make and kept numb. I am happy to report that the dentist and her assistant listened to my concerns, adjusted their treatment methodology and allowed me to control the suction (which generally irritated because of sensitivity). They listened to me when I became concerned about numbing and adjusted. There was ZERO pain during or after the procedure in the tooth that received the root canal. Over the years I have always advocated for myself and this office is 100! They didn't test me...they listened to exactly what I explained about myself.

Notes: It looks like "Polish Dental" went out of business -- Yea! -- but then the same "operators"…read morepopped up at the same location under a new name. So beware! The scammers running "Polish" are just now calling themselves something else. Also, every positive review I checked into on this site or Google turned out to be fake. One of them literally had "John Doe" as the name, so the fake positive reviews weren't even very well done. ##### I had a very bad experience with this office ("Comfort Dental" Midtown Atlanta, which seems to be the same people and location as the now-defunct "Polish Dental"). I went in for a routine checkup and cleaning. They performed the cleaning without having reviewed my records or done an exam first, and then the dentist told me everything was fine and I could go home... still without reviewing my x-rays or chart. (Anybody ever heard of a *real* medical professional performing procedures without looking at a chart first?) Only after I questioned this did they look -- and immediately found a serious cracked tooth: this is a type of problem that should have stopped them from performing even a cleaning until after it was fixed. Indeed, once they bothered to look at my x-rays, they stated it was urgent, and pushed for same-day crown work. The procedure was poorly handled (multiple failed attempts at numbing because they kept injecting the wrong site, and severe pain), and the temporary crown failed within about 24 hours (because they botched the "geometry" of the grinding so badly another dentist later had to completely redo it), leaving me with an exposed tooth and chronic pain. After that, the office became nonresponsive. They did not provide *any* follow-up care, would not clearly explain billing, and failed to provide complete medical records despite repeated written requests. I was charged nearly $1,000 for work that provided no benefit, and they also billed my insurance for a procedure they did not complete -- in fact, they billed for additional work they didn't even attempt to perform! I had to pay another dentist entirely out of pocket to fix the issue, because they wouldn't even refund the insurance for the work they hadn't done step-one to perform. Isn't that insurance fraud? There are also concerns about how this business is operating. They changed the name from Polish Dental, I guess because that company went out of business... but are still running credit cards and billing insurance in the no-longer-exsitant busines name. Finally, when I contacted GA State dental regulatory folks, they couldn't find any record of "Comfort Dental" even having a valid license to practice in this state. Maybe this needs to be a Fulton County District Attorney or even a GBI level matter, given how many laws they seem to be breaking. I'm not a lawier, but isn't practicing without a license a felony? Same for insurance fraud? I'd like a law enforcement pro to take a look, in any case, because these folks are a clear ongoing threat to public safety. Overall, this was not just a billing issue -- it raised serious concerns about basic clinical standards and patient safety. I would strongly caution others.

My daughter got braces when we were living in California, then we moved to Atlanta six months…read morelater. We went to see 3 orthodontists, before someone recommended Silver Smiles to us. I'm so thankful that they did. I'm not going to name names of the other orthodontists that we saw for consultations, but I didn't even realize how unethical they were, until I saw Dr. Silver. They all told me that they would need to remove my daughter's current braces, and and put on "their brackets" that they work with. So, not only would I have to to walk away from all of the money I had already paid for her braces being put on, and the six months of treatment ($2500), and pay another $5000 to them, to basically start over, but my daughter would have had to go through having her newly cemented brackets removed, and new ones put on, which would have been horrible to do to her teeth. Who does that to a child to make a little more money? Enter Dr. Silver. He said that he could absolutely work with her existing brackets, her treatment time wouldn't be any longer, and might even end up being less time that her original orthodontist quoted us, and it was! She got her braces off a month before she reached her two year mark of having them on. And, they charged us less than we would have paid if we had stayed in California with her old ortho. I don't understand the science, but somehow, they were able to do her treatment in less visits, and her teeth didn't hurt for days, like they did with her first orthodontist. I used to only be able to give her soft foods for three days after she'd get her wires adjusted, and that didn't happen to her at Silver Smiles. Dr. Silver and Dr. Megan are so great at what they do, and they are so friendly, and will thoroughly explain your child's treatment plan and progress. Their staff is so nice, too. Brenda is so friendly and inviting every time you walk in for an appointment. I have three kids, and stay very busy with them, so there were times I needed to switch our appointments around, and they always worked with us, and were able to accommodate us. It's so incredible to find orthodontists who are both extremely skilled and knowledgeable, as well as ethical. You will be so happy if you choose them to take care of your orthodontic needs.
