If I could give it 6 stars I would! I have been scared to death of dental work for YEARS. But I…read moreknew I eventually needed to go and get some long overdue work done. I researched and really liked the "feel" of Atlanta Dental Spa. Their "No Judgement" attitude is what I liked the most. I walked in the front door (BIG step) and Tiara took such great care of me. She is so sweet!! After x-rays and scans, I met with Dr. Gandhi who was very understanding of my fear. He was gentle and explained everything that needed to be done and what those options were. It was scary looking at all that was needed, but they offer sedation dentistry and that's what I did. After a good couple of hours of being "consciously knocked out", Dr. Gandhi, Whitney and Britney got the work done! I left being able to smile showing my teeth for the first time in years! But more so, correcting the things that could affect the rest of my health. After I got home I did NOT have ANY pain which is saying a lot as I had a ton of work done. They said that days 3-4 might be the worst for pain, but there was NONE. And that's taking nothing but ibuprofen. The advancement of dentistry is amazing. More than that, finding a dental office that treats you like family, sees you at your scheduled time, offers you neck warmers, blankets, headphones with your choice of music...but most of all truly cares about your patient experience. I'll keep my mouth healthy at Atlanta Dental Spa-Highlands and Dr. Gandhi is my dental guy going forward! (Also thanks to Tiffany who helped answer my financial questions!)

I first started coming here because they are the closest dentist to where I live (Kirkwood). And as…read morelong as I live in Kirkwood and my insurance covers it, I will continue going to this office. To preface, I've had various issues with my front teeth since college due to an accident - 3 of my front teeth broke. Since then, I've had some level of insecurities due to the size and shape of my teeth. Before coming here, I did Invisalign 5 years ago, but my teeth looked awkward because of the shape of the crowns I had before the aligners. They did not look visibly straight and had weird alignment/angle issues. Since then, I've had my crowns replaced, and I'm finally at a point where I'm genuinely happy with how my teeth look. It's truly thanks to this office. Dr. Ahmadi has been my primary dentist for the last few years and has been one of the best dentists I've ever had. He listens to my concerns, answers any questions I have in a way I can understand (aka, doesn't use dental jargon lol) . He explains what is being done and why it's being done. A great guy all around. I had an emergency early November. One of my crowns (that was done at another dentist office) broke suddenly in several pieces. While their lab was creating a crown, Dr. Meshkian and Mayleen (I think that was her name, I'm so sorry if it's not) created a temporary tooth to place in the gap. I nearly cried because it looks so good while I waited for the real crown. I did not want to walk around with a gap in my front teeth for a month. Once the crown was delivered, Dr. Ahmadi finished placing it and helped scan my teeth for a new retainer. I swear I've seen the staff more in the last few months than I have some of my friends lol. But the staff is friendly and welcoming. I am genuinely so appreciative of all the work and attention they've done for me.

First red flag it took me contacting this office 6 times before I could get an appointment, 3 times…read moreI sent request through their website and 3 times I called. When I told them I made 5 prior attempts to make an appointment they just responded "oh". When I came in I was standing at the locked door at 8:55am for my 9am. I woman came up, I told her the door was locked, she said why is the door locked my appointment is at 9am. I said mine as well. 6 people entered when they unlocked the door, they were all checked in, except me. Understandable cause I was a new patient. They asked for my DL & insurance card, then told me there was a difference on my birthdate and if I didn't call and clear it up I would have to pay the full amount. So I called, I cleared it up, and when I told them someone in their office was also calling to verify. So I am thinking I am not paying the full amount after all that. The dentist repaired my chipped tooth, he was kind. When he took me to the desk to pay, she said $282. I was taken aback, I asked how much it was and how much the insurance paid for and she said it was $408 and the insurance pays for 80%??? $282 is 70% of $408??? Make it make sense, the math is not matching. Then I asked for some tooth floss. She told me the tooth floss was "on the other side" and they didn't have any. Then asked me if I wanted to get my teeth cleaned. I was like might as well if that is the only way I can get free tooth floss and I am already here. I asked how much the insurance paid for teeth cleaning. She said 100%. So go back and the assistant starts poking around at my gums, sticking me until it hurts, this happened at least 5xs. Then tells me I needed x-rays prior to the cleaning. They already took one x-ray of my chipped tooth. I was adamant that I didn't want any more x-rays. I have a broken wrist and I have been getting MRIs, X-rays, and CT scans over the past six weeks and I didn't want anymore radiation exposure. She was going on & on, about insurance needs x-rays and she can't clean my teeth without them. So she did 4 more. The dentist came in and was poking around my gums without hurting me one time. Then they said I needed a deep clean, and they needed more x-rays. I said NO! They didn't clean my teeth, they sent me back to the desk to make another appointment and I then asked again for the tooth floss, this time they went to the other side to get it. When I received my explanation of benefits from the insurance they only billed for $282, not $408. So I called yesterday at 12:48pm and spoke with Susana when I asked to speak with someone in financial. I was told I would get a refund check to pick up at the office when they get paid. During this call a person was rudely interrupting saying everything was explained to me about the billing at my appointment, which is a lie. She also said I didn't get my x-rays cause I didn't want to pay for them, also a lie. I kept asking who is that? Who is speaking? Susana was avoiding answering me, and finally said after me repeatedly asking who is that other person on the phone, she said the office manager. I said what is their name? She said Ariel. I told them I did not like her tone, and I hung up. Who puts someone talking about finances and billing on speaker phone? What kind of ignorant behavior is that from an "office manager"? I later got two missed calls from the office and a text saying they had a refund check for me. I feel bad for the dentist, because he was nice and polite, but he needs to hire a new office team, because they are unprofessional, unorganized, rude and ignorant. No one should have to put up with that. And what kind of place makes you pay full amount up front when they have already verified your insurance. WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER. Today I called them and asked to speak with the manager, Susana answered the phone again, said they were not available and mentioned the check. I asked for the manager to call me. Her response was "I don't know why, she is going to tell you the same thing." I said this is about the call yesterday and she says "that was the manager" as if she doesn't owe me an apology. I highly doubt anyone is going to follow up. Just rude!

This was surprising to me as I have been receiving dental care every 6 months for my whole life and haven't had a cavity in 10+ years. My prior dentist was in my hometown and someone I had been going to since childhood and was very familiar with my teeth. Because we had a good relationship with this dentist, my mom even asked them what they thought and they warned that I should get a second opinion. However, I was scared of having cavities, so went ahead with the fillings on Dr. Kearns recommendation ($400+ out of pocket for a college student). I was also told to buy an expensive specialty toothpaste in the office that retailed for half the price on Amazon. Over the next several months, I had horrific, constant dental pain where the fillings were. I couldn't eat anything on one side of my mouth for months. After about two weeks of pain, I went in for a revision, which did not help. Only now 6 months later I am starting to be able to eat on the other side of my mouth. I should note that I had no dental pain in this region before despite the diagnosis of three cavities. I should have switched after this, but had scheduled a 6 month cleaning immediately after my first appointment which crept up on me, so decided to just go in and do the cleaning. When I arrived, the front desk told me I had a balance of $170 that they were about to send to collections. I had not received a single text, email, or physical mail notifying me of my balance. I was able to pay this balance, but knowing that they were happy to send this to collections and potentially impact my credit score without any notification is a disgrace. The cleaning itself was fine, but my hygienist told me Dr. Kearns was very busy and when she came to check me out she barely spoke a word to me, only rattling off dental jargon to the hygienist. I will not be returning to Intown Dental Center. I have never had anxiety related to the dentist until now. The poor bedside manner, weaponization of authority to overprescribe procedures/sell you things you don't need, shoddy fillings, and lack of billing transparency all made this a horrible experience.

The scammers running "Polish" are just now calling themselves something else. Also, every positive review I checked into on this site or Google turned out to be fake. One of them literally had "John Doe" as the name, so the fake positive reviews weren't even very well done. ##### I had a very bad experience with this office ("Comfort Dental" Midtown Atlanta, which seems to be the same people and location as the now-defunct "Polish Dental"). I went in for a routine checkup and cleaning. They performed the cleaning without having reviewed my records or done an exam first, and then the dentist told me everything was fine and I could go home... still without reviewing my x-rays or chart. (Anybody ever heard of a *real* medical professional performing procedures without looking at a chart first?) Only after I questioned this did they look -- and immediately found a serious cracked tooth: this is a type of problem that should have stopped them from performing even a cleaning until after it was fixed. Indeed, once they bothered to look at my x-rays, they stated it was urgent, and pushed for same-day crown work. The procedure was poorly handled (multiple failed attempts at numbing because they kept injecting the wrong site, and severe pain), and the temporary crown failed within about 24 hours (because they botched the "geometry" of the grinding so badly another dentist later had to completely redo it), leaving me with an exposed tooth and chronic pain. After that, the office became nonresponsive. They did not provide *any* follow-up care, would not clearly explain billing, and failed to provide complete medical records despite repeated written requests. I was charged nearly $1,000 for work that provided no benefit, and they also billed my insurance for a procedure they did not complete -- in fact, they billed for additional work they didn't even attempt to perform! I had to pay another dentist entirely out of pocket to fix the issue, because they wouldn't even refund the insurance for the work they hadn't done step-one to perform. Isn't that insurance fraud? There are also concerns about how this business is operating. They changed the name from Polish Dental, I guess because that company went out of business... but are still running credit cards and billing insurance in the no-longer-exsitant busines name. Finally, when I contacted GA State dental regulatory folks, they couldn't find any record of "Comfort Dental" even having a valid license to practice in this state. Maybe this needs to be a Fulton County District Attorney or even a GBI level matter, given how many laws they seem to be breaking. I'm not a lawier, but isn't practicing without a license a felony? Same for insurance fraud? I'd like a law enforcement pro to take a look, in any case, because these folks are a clear ongoing threat to public safety. Overall, this was not just a billing issue -- it raised serious concerns about basic clinical standards and patient safety. I would strongly caution others.

Go anywhere else- literally!…read more I've waited more than a year to review them because human errors happen. I had a lot of work done at once after face planting on curb. 1 tooth just needed a crown as precaution bring beside the rest. She reduced that tooth such that even temp wouldn't stay on. I was told real crown would be different and was issued new fused temp. Crowns came in. It took over an hour to position by the hygienist (I didn't know better). My front tooth is completely out of line. The tooth that was reduced to nearly nothing (w/o root canal) never stayed in. I returned multiple times. Was even issued a mold of my teeth because she was certain I'd loose or swallow that crown. It's crushed me. Depressed. Embarrassed. Traumatized. It's damaged my life and led to isolation and self hate. I never once heard "I'm sorry." I was never asked what color I wanted for my 4 front teeth crowns. Instead I was told how painful and damaging removing the out of line crown would be and expensive. As to the overly reduced tooth- I literally was treated as if I had created this problem. Given another huge price estimate. Honestly, the trauma fr this puts me in panic and rage and full of pulsating anxiety that isn't fleeting. Their front desk ladies are great and unfortunately sometimes caught in middle. I should note 2 things. When I first went- they used a different crown company. When they changed I was called in and that is when she cut my tooth to a nub. Secondly, that dentist now has her own practice; however, polish still doesn't stand behind their extremely pricey work. She did excellent root canals but ruined the healthiest tooth - No apology. Yet, Polish keep calling me wanting more business as I daily struggle with damage they left me with. Every reflection - every social interaction- I have ti worry my front tooth will fall out. It's the single biggest regret of my life. So, save yourself and go anywhere but here. Those wondering- I tripped over a curb with my hands full face planting into concrete corner. It leveled my 3 front teeth (root canals & crowns) the last over reduced tooth was chipped but alignment was going to be problem w/o crown. That's what landed me there. Cost with 2 dental insurance coverages was as much as my first car. I am currently under a new dentist care. Eventually I will be able to correct all this damage / expense but I will never emotionally recover.

3 out of 10, would NOT recommend!…read more I was told by Dr. Silver I wasn't a candidate for Invisalign if I wanted my teeth perfectly straight. So I got braces as an adult in college. (And who wants that?!) I honestly didn't hate the process as much as I thought I would, and the staff was always nice.. however, when I got my braces off (by the female dentist whose name I don't know because she'd never worked on my teeth during my treatment before) my teeth were NOT fully straightened as promised. She also said she was taking them off because my retainer would straighten them the rest of the way. Sounded great, however, it never did! So here I am 4 years later signing up for Smile Direct Club for over less than half the price of what I spent at Silver Smiles, and I am getting invisible aligners I was told wouldn't work for me. I'm writing this because I'm upset I'm spending more time and money to fix my teeth. I feel like I was lied to by Dr. Silver and that my braces were taken off tooo soon by his partner, and I wish I would have read more reviews (both the pros and cons) when choosing my orthodontist. Smile Direct Club has sent me a 3D image of what my teeth will look like after 4 months of wearing my aligners. I am excited to finally have the smile I've wanted, and happy they are also giving me a whitening treatment included with the price of my plan. Silver Smiles May be right for you, but for me it was a year and some waste of time going in and out to change rubber bands, etc. , and never getting the smile I was promised even though the checks were clearing on my end! Hope this helps.

I scheduled a routine cleaning as a new patient. I practice generally very good dental hygiene, floss daily, etc. I show up and get x-rays, etc. and then before the cleaning the doctor comes into the office, looks at my teeth, and tells me I'll need some extra level of cleaning that would put my out of pocket at around $280 (I have insurance that covers a basic cleaning, as is standard). Now look I expect dentists to try to up-charge you nowadays and I'm very used to politely declining to spend hundreds of dollars on a night guard. What made my experience so insanely frustrating is that when I tried to decline treatment, the DOCTOR REFUSED TO DO A ROUTINE CLEANING. He said it would be against office policy to give me a routine cleaning after they'd already assessed that I needed some special expensive one. Here's how a visit to PDG will go, just so everyone is aware of the kafkaesque experience beforehand: (1) You'll arrive, get x-rays. (2) The dental assistant will tell you the doctor needs to come in to assess "what type of cleaning you'll need." If you ask about costs, the assistant will say she doesn't do that. (3) The doctor will come in and check your teeth and make some sort of decision, then tell you to wait to talk with the manager. If you ask about costs, the doctor will say he doesn't do that. (4) Some manager will come in, tell you that the doctor recommended these things that will cost X dollars over your insurance. When you ask if you can just have a routine cleaning like you came for, the manager will tell you she can't make diagnosing decisions. (5) When the doctor returns, he will tell you no he can't change it. Thus, after spending an hour and getting x-rays, you will learn that if you want to actually get your teeth cleaned, you'll need to pony up a significant out of pocket cost. There were also just a ton of infuriating moments of this visit today: The doctor basically ignored me when I told him that I've had sensitive gums my entire life (despite flossing regularly) and that I've never been told to get a more expensive cleaning. Plus, only after I threatened to leave a bad review online, they decided that they could find a way to waive the fees and skip some of the more expensive stuff (guess it wasn't so important after all!). Tl;dr: all dentists, especially those owned by private equity, are trying to take you for a ride. This office reminded me why I haven't trusted a dentist in years. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
